Pathetic: Greta Thunberg, Meghan Markle trying to get in on the BLM act

By Monica Showalter

In a desperate quest for “significance,” assorted publicity hounds from Europe are now looking to get in on the Black Lives Matter act.

Here’s global warming activist Greta Thunberg, expressing her envy and affinity for Black Lives Matter in mobilizing protests:

Greta Thunberg has said the Black Lives Matter protests show society has reached a tipping point where injustice can no longer be ignored, but that she believes a “green recovery plan” from the coronavirus pandemic will not be enough to solve the climate crisis.

Reflecting on the protests that have swept the globe in recent weeks, the Swedish climate activist told the BBC: “It feels like we have passed some kind of social tipping point where people are starting to realise that we cannot keep looking away from these things. We cannot keep sweeping these things under the carpet, these injustices.

“People are starting to find their voice, to sort of understand that they can actually have an impact.”

She likes those fiery protests, and must be wondering why the pasty pajama boys in her climate change brigade, who also are there to virtue-signal, don’t light up the sky quite as vividly. The apocalyptic vision of Black Lives Matter, complete with burning and looting and statue-toppling, has got to make a pint-sized activist from Sweden feel, well, small. Seems the BLM crew is a lot more consequential than the always evanescent “great pumpkin” claims of rising sea levels and dead polar bears.

But she’s getting there with them – she once again brings up that the vision for the global warmers is Marxism, Hugo Chavez variety, same as BLM wants. So of course she’s like a piece of this.

“The climate and ecological crisis cannot be solved within today’s political and economic systems,” she said. “That isn’t an opinion. That’s a fact.”

And like any demagogue, she’s firm in insisting that you think she doesn’t truck in mere opinion, only certainties. She’s a fanatic like they are, but her vehicle is so … putzy, so she can only look on with approval and envy. She’ll be there with them to virtue-signal harder.

There’s also Meghan Markle, having her title and joining the protestors, too:

Meghan Markle’s instinct to leave the United Kingdom and move to California all makes sense to her now, as she believes she was ‘destined’ to help fight systemic racism in the United States, a close friend exclusively told DailyMail.com.

The Duchess feels that her ‘gnawing urgency to uproot from England’ was fate so she could be at the ‘forefront’ of the movement, the insider explained.

They added: ‘Meghan said her work as a leader is more important than ever right now and that she’s been speaking with Oprah and other community leaders on how she can be part of the solution.

‘Meghan feels like her mission goes far beyond acting. She said she wants to use her voice for change and hasn’t ruled out a career in politics.’

The ‘forefront’? What kind of an ego does that take? Black people are just pining to be rescued by a British-titled duchess from Hollywood? And it’s a heckuva way to find one’s ‘destiny’ through the roundabout route of a U.K. royal title.

No, what we are looking at here is someone who didn’t know what she wanted, flunked out on culture shock, couldn’t assimilate to the program she’d committed to as she got her fairy tale wedding, thought the acting work back home would be plentiful in Hollywood as she returned with her tiara title … and it wasn’t. She’s tried many things in her life besides being a royal – international relations, public relations, acting and can add the royal stint as just another one of those things that didn’t pan out.

Someone like this is bound to be looking for a cause, given how failed and insignificant she is, with a royal sense of entitlement.

All that’s left now is politics, the idea of running other people’s lives, given that she’s not very good at running her own. What better way than to glom onto race relations in the U.S., fiercely standing up to all those racists out there and winning the virtue-signaling crown. Naturally, the next stop is a chat with Oprah.

What we are seeing here, in both cases, is two lost souls looking on in envy at the mayhem wrought against America through Black Lives Matter, and wanting to get in on the action, too. Neither figure from the plummy quarters in Europe had had any interest in this earlier, Thunberg had her big protests and speaking tours, while Markle had her charities, but with the cameras now on the amorphous activist group, whose chief purpose seems to be to destroy America, while conveying virtue-signaling and absolution from racism, they can’t resist.

After all, everyone knows that global warming is a fraud – just introduce a live issue, with a real-life crisis, to see interest in that weird imaginary religion vanish. Thunberg senses this and wonders why she didn’t think of this earlier.

And everyone also knows that the British charity ball life – and the Hollywood chi chi crowd – are bores, too. What better way to get out of it and get ‘meaning’ as well as a sense of danger, than to jump in on the race wars and all the corporate money rolling in, and start pointing fingers. Politics is the only place this can lead, and what better way to fail upward than to join Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with her six-figure do-nothing job and Twitter account and say outrageous things to draw attention to herself.

Doing something useful the way the rest of us do is out of the question for both of them, they don’t even know what that is. Without anything useful to do, they look for something seemingly important to do.

That’s what both of them are ultimately after – some kind of significance, but not by building something, but by flying over the canopy of trends, the more anti-U.S. the better, and scarfing up the spoils.

Yet they fail to see how ridiculous they look — are black people protesting in the streets really interested in a pasty little Swede to be their savior? Or a failed Hollywood actress of mixed race who took a detour to play duchess? Somehow, they’re not going to fit in. But here they come … jumping into the protests along with all the white self-abasers looking for some kind of affirmation of virtue and absolution.

WATCH: Chechens beat up guests of a Viennese fancy restaurant because they were refused a handshake

Bild: Screenshot aus Facebook

Now a video has appeared on the Internet which confirms the assumptions of “ethnic Austrians”. The assault on the noble guests in the restaurant “Black Camel” was committed by people with a migration background, allegedly Chechens. The incident shows that even the upper class is no longer spared the ethnic conflicts which it has fuelled by supporting unlimited mass migration.

In the evening of June 17th, two passers-by roughed up several guests of the society club “Black Camel”. The police and the media reported in unison about drunken “Austrians” who had become violent because of a refused handshake. Now a video has appeared which shows once again how we are lied to by the media. See for yourself. According to eyewitnesses, the two violent thugs are Chechen martial artists.Interesting is the statement of the head waiter, who reports with which number of men the police is there when the upper class is attacked. This would have appeared within minutes with “eight to ten cars” and “30 to 40 officers”. This is what many a taxpayer would also wish for when he or she is put under pressure by migrant violence. In any case, the guests of the noble restaurant would have been “quite beside themselves” when they were confronted with the daily reality of life of many ordinary citizens at first hand.

Eric Zemmour: BLM riots show convergence of Antifa and migrants

In an interview on CNews, the popular French commentator Eric Zemmour discussed the Black Lives Matter riots. He pointed out that despite being staged in such widely differing countries, they all have the same modus operandi.

“As usual the media didn’t want to talk about it. We’d already had the same with the Cologne riots, the rapes in Cologne, you remember? In 2015? In 2015, all those women on New Year’s Eve had been raped by the migrants. So there, it’s the same thing,” said Zemmour.

“Just look at the images and turn down the sound. Ok, so if you just look at the images, you could imagine it’s Stuttgart, but it could be in Paris. Then you could imagine it’s Brussels, it could be in London, or it could be in Minneapolis.”

Zemmour said migrant riots were part of the same political movement. “I would even say historical, meaning the intersection, the famous “convergence of struggles“, has finally arrived. That means, the leftists, the Antifa, have allied with the migrants.”

The notion of the “convergence of struggles” is a Marxist term used to denote the coming together of different groups who strive for the same objective.

“And these people, the Antifa, the leftists, who dream of destroying world capitalism, who dream of destroying the white Western countries, that’s how they talk. They have found their ‘proletariat’ which will launch the attack on those countries. Meaning, the African, the Maghreb migrants, etc,” Zemmour pointed out.

“We can see that little by little, the class war has become a race war. Between civilizations. Between the Christian world and the Islamic world. We can all see this is happening and that in all countries the same thing is happening. Why is it happening? Because we have implemented the same policy everywhere.”

Zemmour said since 2015 when Chancellor Angela Merkel brought in one million migrants from Syria, as well as the migrants who joined them from the Maghreb and Africa, the problem has been compounded.

“You have to understand, it takes time. First they arrive. They have to get settled in, they have to be welcomed, etc, start a life, etc, and then little by little they make you aware of their numbers. They are being exploited by the leftists and the Antifa and so on.

“Ultimately, there’s a connection among them all. We all see it. We saw that in France with [Adama] Traoré. That means there’s a convergence among the leftists, the racialists, the blacks and the Islamists.”

Using the death of the Malian Adama Traoré in 2016 to inflame public debate, the Traoré family accuses the police of killing their brother. His sister had called for an illegal march to coincide with US race protests. The funding for her operation comes from the US.

According to Zemmour, it is the same thing in Germany. “Why are we used to this kind of rioting and violence in France, but in Germany it’s so surprising? In Germany the country is in shock [after the Stuttgart riot]. The politicians are in shock. The politicians say they’ve never seen anything like this. I’ll tell you why.

“In the ’60s we had two very different types of immigration; they had Turks. Turkish workers, who didn’t become Germans, they weren’t entitled to state benefits, who were confined to their own neighbourhoods and so on, and they were under the control of the Turkish government. So it was very controlled. We weren’t in control of anything at all [in France].”

He said Germany was “running late” while in France everyone has become used to it. “We had the riots in 2005. We had other riots. We are used to it, because we’re more advanced. We have the largest Muslim community in Europe. The Islamists we have started their work in France very early on. Earlier than Germany. Tariq Ramadan and the Muslim Brotherhood prefer working in France rather than in Germany. France has been at the heart of their action for the last 30 years.

“For the Germans, it’s more recent. It has been accelerated by the historic mistake of Madame Merkel, who reasoned with the thinking of an economist that, you know, all men are consumers or producers. So it’s either blond blue-eyed Germans or Syrians or Algerians. They’re all the same. They’ll be the same to make the factories run and to consume and well, it’s not exactly working out like that.

“So, we can see what’s starting to happen in that country.”

Zemmour also cited the example of Sweden. “Then there’s Sweden. In Sweden it was the same thing. The riots in Malmö. An insane amount of delinquency. The explosion of rapes. In the wisest country, the quietest in Europe.”

He underscored that both Germany and Sweden do not have the same history as France of Britain when it comes to colonies in Africa and the Maghreb. For that reason, he argued, that open borders were created on purpose to create the “convergence of struggles” which has now become the vanguard of a race war against the West.

“I’m talking about Sweden. It’s by design. Like Germany, they weren’t colonizing countries. So they aren’t people who have to pay for colonization, and yet, you said it yourself, it’s the same images. The same riots. The same violence. The same movements. The same faces. All the same thing.”

In a debate on the same channel on Friday, June 26, Zemmour faced neocon apologist Bernard Henry Levy, also known as the “philosopher” BHL. The two men discussed current affairs, including immigration and racism.

Zemmour denounced “the ideological appropraition of the anti-racist movement which is actually a racist anti-white movement”. But Zemmour went even further, and blamed the movement on Bernard-Henri Lévy. “You are the father of this movement because you were the founder of SOS Racisme. You have put race in the political battle. We will never get over it. You woke up the racists,” he told his opponent, before adding: “You have killed France and even the Republic. You gave birth to a multicultural movement, and yet black activists hate you today.”

Zemmour continued: “You see the history of France with the glasses of anti-fascism. What anti-racist activists are doing today in the name of race is what you did in the name of fascism.”

CNews host Christine Kelly then asked the two men to comment on the issue of revising history that race activists want to undertake. Zemmour accused BHL of fomenting this revolt: “Statue breakers, they just keep your job going. You have treated the great historical figures as fascists, they call them colonialists,” said Zemmour.

The two men also discussed the immigration issue. BHL recalled that he had gone to the island of Lesbos, off the coast of Greece, to visit a migrant camp. It was widely reported in the press. But Zemmour was not impressed: “When you go to Lesbos, you will see our invaders. Don’t make it a claim to fame,” he said and continued: “The world that you denounce is the world that you have made. The world of false international solidarity, of borderless people.”

Cambridge rewards academic who says ‘White lives don’t matter’

Priyamvada Gopal pontificating on Marxism. Screenshot from YouTube

Academic firebrand Priyamvada Gopal from Cambridge University in the UK was promoted to a full professorship even after she said that “white lives don’t matter”.

On Thursday, Gopal, who is a Professor in the Faculty of English and a Fellow of Churchill College, announced on Twitter that she was “delighted” to announce that “last night Cambridge promoted me to a full Professorship”. Her research interests are listed as colonial and postcolonial literature and theory, gender and feminism, Marxism and critical race studies.

Recently a Change.org petition received more than 19 000 signatures demanding that she be fired.

Despite criticism, she repeated her claim: “I’ll say it again. White Lives Don’t Matter. As white lives.” Then she sent out a follow-up tweet: “Abolish whiteness.”

Cambridge rushed to defended Gopal’s “right” as an academic to express her “lawful opinions” which others “might find controversial”. But last year, academic Noah Carl was fired for conducting “problematic” research on incest and the relationship between immigrants’ nation of origin and their crime rates.

To say “white lives don’t matter” is apparently worthy of a promotion in the UK and yet according to the media’s narrative on racial bias, the UK is a “white supremacist” country.

UK citizen Jake Hepple, who on Monday flew a “White Lives Matter” banner over a soccer stadium, was meanwhile dismissed from his job. The company have distanced themselves from his actions saying Hepple’s employment has been terminated with immediate effect. His girlfriend lost her job as well after she refused to take “intensive racial sensitivity training”.

The EU’s leadership is too white, claim two black MEPs

There are too many white European Commissioners and MEPs, two MEPs of African descent complained as they called for new legislation that would take into account the racial and ethnic origin of EU representatives.

Alice Bah Kuhnke, a Swedish MEP and Vice-President of the European Greens, and Pierrette Herzberger-Fofana, a German MEP from the same faction, shared their complaints on the EUobserver, claiming they had encountered racism from the European Parliament’s security guards.

Kuhnke and Herzberger-Fofana say it is time for change and a real fight against “systematic racism”.

“Racism is something we have both personally experienced in our lives. The European Union is not an exception to the problem. We have both been stopped on several occasions by security personnel in the European Parliament asking us what business we had on the premises. None of our white colleagues have reported such experiences,” they claim.

Furthermore, the two MEPs believe that attacks on “non-whites” are common in Europe, as is police violence and institutionalized racism. In this context, they referred to the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, which has reportedly found that one in three people with an African background has experienced discrimination based on racism.

The two MEPs’ claims come as three white gay males were killed by a Libyan refugee in London this weekin addition to the hundreds of white Europeans killed in Islamic terrorist attacks across the European continent. There have also been attacks targeting white people based on their race, including in Belgiumand the United Kingdom.

The MEPs believe that more should be done to combat racism against people of color.

“Only 15 out of 27 EU member states have dedicated action plans and strategies to combat racism and ethnic discrimination and the European Union still lacks a framework for a strategy to combat all forms of racism,” complain Kuhnke and Herzberger-Fofana, adding that there has been an increase in right-wing extremism and attacks related to this phenomenon.

Not enough diversity at the top in Europe?

The two MEPs find it shameful that there is so little “ethnic diversity” in the European institutions.

“We are supposed to reflect the people we represent – not only in the European Parliament but across the institutions – and we have failed,” they wrote.

They complain that only three percent of MEPs are people of color and that, so far, no European Commissioner has been a person of color. However, in the article, the authors stated that there are 15 million people with an African background in Europe. The EU has a total population of approximately 446 million, which would mean that three percent of “people of color” MEPs is proportional to their numbers in the general European population.

Nevertheless, the two MEPs consider these figures to be the result of institutionalized racism and discrimination.

“The diversity and inclusion strategy of the European Commission needs to be updated to include consideration of racial/ethnic origin and it must be implemented across all of our institutions,” says Kuhnke with Herzberger-Fofana, further criticizing that the EU does not have legislation on discrimination outside of the workplace and The Directive on Equal Treatment has been blocked in the council since 2008.

Push to recognize ‘systemic racism’ in the European Union

Herzberger-Fofana has allegedly obtained 121 signatures from colleagues in four political factions calling for the European Commission to recognize and condemn the existence of systematic racism and police violence in the European Union.

Kuhnke also intends to address the issue of racism with Germany which currently presides over the Council of the European Union as she wants to enforce anti-discrimination legislation as soon as possible. Furthermore, she wants the EU to support protests against U.S. President Donald Trump and what she says is racism against African Americans.

However, that is not all the two MEPs are demanding.

They would also like the European Commission to request the Fundamental Rights Agency and Europol to investigate police brutality in the EU’s member states.

“The collection of data in such studies must be disaggregated by racial and/or ethnic origin (as defined by the EU race directive) so that we can understand the true scope of the problem and develop relevant ways of addressing it,” they wrote.

However, some EU countries do not make separate statistics based on origin or race, either because they consider this approach to be racist or have no reason to do so.

In conclusion, the MEPs say that “white and predominantly male” leaders of European countries must use their positions and their “privilege” to put systemic racism and what the MEPs claim is the resulting socioeconomic inequality at the top of the political agenda.

“Equally, if [European Commission] President Ursula von der Leyen is serious about having a Europe that ‘leaves no one behind’, we need concrete European legislation to address these issues, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis that has reinforced existing inequalities,” they concluded.

And their statement seems to be popular with Ursula von der Leyen who wrote on her Twitter that “we need to talk about racism and we need to act.”
