Officials in Berlin’s left-wing government have a new handbook which states that they can no longer label people as “foreigners” or “asylum seekers”, with both of them allegedly discriminatory. 

Words such as foreigners (Ausländer), black passengers (Schwarzfahrer) and asylum seekers (Asylbewerber) should no longer exist in Berlin.

The term “Schwarzfahren” means to “ride black” and refers to riding a train without a paid ticket. In English, it would be the equivalent of disallowing the term “black market”. There is no evidence that the German term “Schwarzfahren” was ever meant to refer to Black people in any manner or intended to be used for any derogatory purpose.

The new handbook rules for officials came from the local senate, which is the executive body of Berlin. With the new guidelines, an official should replace the word “foreigner” with the new term “person with an international past”. The term “black traveler” is also to be changed, with the manual offering the option of “passengers without a valid ticket”.

The handbook is extremely detailed, has 44 pages, and is part of a new diversity program. It suggests a large number of new terms for commonly used words in Germany, according to Czech news portal Novinky.cz. 

Recently, Remix News reported on a battle for a popular product called gypsy sauce, which is also said to be discriminatory. The new name is “Hungarian-Style paprika“ sauce.

“Since the term ‘Gypsy sauce’ can be interpreted negatively, we decided to give our Knorr Sauce a new name. In a few weeks you will find this on the shelf as ‘Hungarian Style Paprika Sauce’,” the Knorr company said in a statement.

The war over words and what they mean in culture has accelerated in recent years, with left-wing governments taking what were once commonly used phrases and expressions, and making them illegal. For example, New York City’s government banned the word “illegal immigrant” and “alien” from all government documents. The government also voted to make it illegal for any citizen in New York to use the terms in a manner that is meant to demean or discriminate against someone, with fines for using the terms reaching as high as $250,000. 

The UK’s National Cyber Security Center has also banned the terms of “whitelist” and “blacklist”, alleging they are racially insensitive, a stance that Google engineers also embrace.

The Lord Mayor of Suhl, André Knapp ( Christian Democratic Union, CDU), has spoken out against the reception of further refugees in the Thuringian city and warned against overburdening the residents.
“From the lessons learned in recent weeks, I do not see that the facility in Suhl should and can permanently accept even more asylum seekers,” explained Knapp in response to a request from the magazine FOCUS Online. Suhl is home to the initial reception facility for asylum seekers in Thuringia. Around 600 people are currently housed there.The left-wing state government had recently announced its intention to take in 500 more refugees and reiterated its plans after the major fire in the Greek refugee camp Moria. Thuringian CDU politicians reject this – among other things with reference to the conflict-laden atmosphere in the initial reception facility in Suhl.

In asylum accommodation, the crime rate has risen sharply in recent months. From January 2020 to mid May 2020 alone, the Suhl police recorded more than 200 crimes in which the suspects were residents of the shelter. In the city of 35,000 inhabitants, there are repeated clashes and the atmosphere is tense. Recently, bus drivers expressed their fear of continuing the route to the home because they were afraid of assaults and feared for the safety of the passengers.

“I can see that many people are reacting very negatively to the recurring and in some cases increasing number of crimes in the inner city,” explained Knapp to FOCUS Online, “I am getting calls from parents who are worried about letting their children walk through the inner city alone following the latest incident, a stabbing in broad daylight. The 47-year-old local politician, himself a father of three children: “Here, the rule of law must exhaust all available means to ensure law and order and security.In an interview with FOCUS Online, the CDU politician sharply criticized the left-wing state government for its handling of the asylum accommodation that opened in 2014. “In 2015 there were serious riots between the residents of the facility for the first time,” said the Lord Mayor.Thereupon, the local political leaders of the city of Suhl “repeatedly” addressed the Free State of Thuringia as operator of the asylum center and “reported organizational deficiencies”. Knapp: “However, the actual willingness of the Free State of Thuringia to create the necessary organizational and personnel conditions for the safe and secure handling of the facility was extremely deplorable.

The senior Polish ruling coalition party Law and Justice (PiS) will call on Tuesday in the European Parliament for resignation of German MEP Katarina Barley, who also as one of the vice-presidents of the European Parliament, after her statement in German radio interview asking the European Union for the “financial starvation” of Hungary and Poland, conservative Hungarian daily Magyar Hírlap reports.

“The rule of law is constantly broken and EU funds are an efficient way to exact pressure. States such as Poland and Hungary must be financially starved. Funds are an efficient lever,” Barley told German radio last week.

The motion will be presented by PiS, part of the European Conservatives and Reformists group, at Tuesday’s meeting of the European Parliament presidency, Legutko told Polish news agency PAP.

Legutko, head of the PiS European Parliament delegation, responded to the Barley statement given to Deutschlandfunk German public service radio that Viktor Orbán should be “financially starved” related to rule of law breaches and that the tax paid by European citizens should be prevented from being paid to “regimes such as those of Orbán and Kaczynski”.

In a letter to European Parliament President David Sassoli accompanying the motion, Legutko underlined that the German term aushungern (to starve), used by Barley in the interview “amounts to a provocative humiliation of the Polish and Hungarian nations who have a vivid memory of starvation”.

Last week, Barley’s comments caused widespread outrage in Poland and Hungary.

“A German is calling for the starvation of Hungary and Poland. No illusions remain. The fight for the rule of law is not meant to improve legislation in the EU. It is an ideological weapon against conservative governments,”  said Law and Justice MEP (PiS) and former Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski in response.

Pointing out that Barley had not yet apologized for her words, Legutko underlined that whatever German politicians think of the governments of Poland and Hungary, this “cannot justify his insensitivity and lack of respect for the two nations that have suffered for the better part of the 20th century.”

Legutko said it is doubtful that a motion to replace Barley, from the second-largest European Parliament group, the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, would find majority support in the parliament. The petition could even be rejected at a meeting of the European Parliament presidency, but such an action will simply prove that Barley’s statements are not considered reprehensible by the majority factions of the European Parliament, the Polish politician remarked.

Due to Barley’s statement last week, several leading Polish politicians demanded an official apology. Michal Dworczyk, head of the Polish prime minister’s office, crticized Deutschlandfunk’s retrospective clarification that the term “starvation” did not apply to Poland.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki — as reported  by the Wpolityce.pl conservative news portal  — said Barley’s statement on Saturday was “reprehensible” and a “diplomatic scandal.” The Germans “should remember the horror, the genocide, the tragedies for which they are responsible”, Morawiecki stressed that in the European Union, Hungary and Poland have the same rights as countries such as Germany and France.

We have raised and discussed serious matters of fact and questions about the role of CIA Director Gina Haspel in the Anti-Trump conspiracy. It appears Haspel (while serving as London Chief of Station from 2014 to early 2017) was an active, knowledgeable party to the efforts to target candidate Trump with an FBI-instigated foreign counterintelligence operation. That seditious conspiracy carried forward to a more sophisticated and aggressive plan to carry out a soft coup against President Donald J. Trump.

Looking back on news reporting concerning Haspel, we turn (with caution) to a Washington Post article from July 2019 by Scott Shane, titled: “The quiet director: How Gina Haspel manages the CIA’s volatile relationship with Trump”. We are supposed to believe that Haspel and her office did not cooperate with the reporter for the article. Shane disclaims Haspel involvement by writing:

“This report is based on interviews with 26 current and former officials who have worked with Haspel in the United States, particularly when she served in senior management roles at headquarters, and in London, where Haspel served two tours as the CIA’s top representative — chief of station — a plum post that is usually the steppingstone to the agency’s highest ranks.”

No Washington Post article in the last decade has contained such a scrupulous sourcing statement. Of course, Haspel had nothing to do with the article. Remember that, won’t you?

Haspel, twice-over Chief of Station in London, had close connections with the British intelligence and security services. Given the nature of the “special relationship” between the two countries, that is hardly surprising. Shane’s interviews of British intelligence officers take things a step further, however:

“… what she lacked in after-hours sociability she made up for with deep professional ties to the upper echelon of the British security establishment. ‘She had access to anyone in our service,’ the former British intelligence official said.”

Shane goes on to explain:

“Haspel has become the CIA’s linchpin to the Secret Intelligence Service, or MI6, its most important foreign partner. Her British colleagues say that she knows them so well — warts and all — that they call her the ‘honorary U.K. desk officer.'”

In the next paragraph, Shane notes breathlessly:

“… Trump has accused the United Kingdom of conspiring with American intelligence to spy on his presidential campaign.”

President Trump certainly has made that claim, and one believes for very good reasons that seem to compound weekly. Reasons that make the “intelligence community” and 95% of “official Washington” extremely nervous. It is the sort of statement that presidential aides and counsels look nervous about, wring their hands and respectfully, earnestly plead: “But Mr. President, you just can’t say that sort of thing!” Truth be damned.

Concurrent with the FBI’s anti-Trump foreign counterintelligence operation, launched from the United Kingdom (with Haspel’s affirmative “coordination”), keep in mind that the UK’s version of the National Security Agency — the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) — was engaged in an aggressive Signals Intelligence campaign later codified in UK law as the Investigatory Powers Act (and referred to colloquially as the “Snoopers’ Charter”). Having the British run an aggressive intelligence collection operation against Team Trump targets, bypassing US legal prohibitions, and then laundering the intelligence “take” back to US officials via the UK-US liaison relationship is precisely something an “honorary UK desk officer” might be good and adept at accomplishing.

Certainly, these subjects and questions deserve closer examination, without the phony prophylactic defense of grave warnings about “sources and methods.” No one examining the coup against President Trump is seriously interested in the precise technical collection techniques of GCHQ — they just want to know if the Brits were involved in an attempt to subvert a presidential campaign and then overturn the results of an election. CIA Director Gina Haspel can answer all of those questions, and she does not even have to touch upon classified information to do so. The American public is due her answers.

A trial relating to the alleged non-recent sexual exploitation of children in Halifax has been delayed by a year.

Amjad Hussain, also known as Amjad Ditta, is among 16 men charged in relation to the alleged abuse of three teenage girls in Halifax between 2006 and 2009.

The charges include rape, supplying drugs, trafficking, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and making threats to kill.

Ditta, 35, is a police constable based within West Yorkshire Police’s protective services team but he is currently suspended from duty.

He is accused of sexually touching one of the girls at a time when he was a serving police officer.

His co-accused are:

• Mohammed Vaqaas Abbas, 30, who denies three counts of rape and three of supplying a class C drug
• Nadeem Adalat, 34, who has pleaded not guilty to four charges of rape and four of supply of a class C drug
• Sajid Adalat, 44, who denies rape
• Waseem Adalat, 33, who denies two counts of rape, as well as single counts of trafficking, supply of a class C drug and common assault
• Christopher Eastwood, 45, who has pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and two counts of supply of a class C drug
• Mahtab Islam, 46, who denies six counts of rape, three of supplying a class A drug, three of supplying a class C drug, two of sexual assault and one of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
• Mohammed Rizwan Iqbal, 34, who denies a charge of rape

During a campaign event in Tampa, Fla., Joe Biden made a rather bizarre comment that really shows us what the Democratic nominee thinks of black Americans.

“The American public, the blinders have been taken off. They’ve all of a sudden seen a hell of a lot clearer. Geez, the reason I was able to stay sequestered in my home is because some black woman was able to stock the grocery shelf.”

Um… what? This bizarre remark reminds me a lot of the time Biden said that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” as well as other racist comments he’s made over the years.

Does Joe Biden assume that the only people who stock grocery store shelves wherever his handler shops for him are black women? What if they support Trump and “ain’t black”? Remember that one?

These and other comments continue to prove just how little Joe Biden really thinks of black Americans.

Turkish President Erdogan is a grave threat to all Christians, to Europe, to civilization and to our common values.

After Syria, Libya and the eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish ‘sultan’ now is intervening in Nagorno Karabach, a historic piece of Armenian land disputed by Muslim Azerbaijan.

Erdogan, backed by the usual treacherous Qatar, sent his Islamist henchmen, already become very efficient in Libya and against the Kurds in Syria, to help the Azeris. AsiaNewsrevealed that 4,000 Syrian mercenaries are in Azerbaijan and that others are leaving for that purpose. They say they “fight against the Christian crusaders” and that “it is part of the jihad”.

Israel must stop selling weapons to the Azeris. After all Turkey has also become Israel’s enemy. I was disappointed when the vote in the Knesset to recognize the Armenian Genocide was canceled.

The Armenians are left with only Putin and Russia, as has often happened when it comes to Eastern Christians. My friend, the Armenian writer Antonia Arslan, is right in asking: “Who, in the old continent, wants to die for Nagorno-Karabakh? Nobody wanted to die for Danzig in 1939, let alone today for Stepanakert”.

Europe must understand that, from the Greeks to the Armenians, not only interests are at stake when fighting against Erdogan, but also civilization. This is why the former church of Hagia Sophia has just been reconverted to mosque.

The West is decaying before our eyes. I implore Israel to stand with the little Armenia. “Who remembers the Armenians?” Hitler asked in planning the Holocaust.

Jews and Armenians are very different from their neighbors. They have a long history and they have survived many wars and invasions.
