Start of trial against a Somalian in Germany: He stormed church service and shouted “Allahu akbar”

He frightened the visitors of the Easter service. Now Mohammed B. (37 years old) has to answer before the District Court Munich I. The trial against the Somalian will start on Monday. He is accused of disturbing public peace and the practice of religion as well as of bodily harm and attempted bodily harm.On April 20, 2019, about 1000 Christians attended the divine service in the Church of St. Paul when Mohmmed B. entered the church via the sacristy. He was said to have shouted “I’ll burn you all Christians in this church” and “Allahu akbar” and to have been armed with three paving stones. The worship service attendees panicked and feared a terrorist attack.The allegedly psychologically disturbed man is said to have injured 32 people.
