Yesterday, Thursday evening, around 7 p.m., there was a physical confrontation between young men between the ages of 18 and 39 in the old town of Gelsenkirchen. First, a group of men with a Turkish migrant background attacked a 19-year-old Afghan at a snack bar at the bus station who had arranged to meet his friends there. This group escaped into a bus, but was persecuted by the others. Since the injured person complained of pain, the bus driver called the police and ambulance services. At the street Zeppelinallee both groups left the bus and there were again verbal and physical arguments between the groups involved, which in the meantime partly received support from other acquaintances. The situation had already calmed down by the time the officers arrived, as a group had left in an unknown direction. The police have started investigations into the case.
