Last Thursday four Syrians with belt buckles and sticks brutally attacked two Germans in the downtown area of Chemnitz. The four alleged Syrian perpetrators had repeatedly beaten and injured the 21- and 22-year-old German men around 5.15 p.m., said a police spokesman in Chemnitz on Friday morning.One of the victims suffered an laceration that had to be treated on an outpatient basis. The four suspects, aged 15, 17 and 27, were caught but not taken into custody. The motive is still unclear. The police are investigating for grievous bodily harm.
