Last Friday morning at 11 a.m., a 25-year-old Lebanese man known to the police rioted in Marbach town hall after disagreeing with an official decision. He damaged several doors and glass panes. Before the police arrived, the suspect fled and went to his home address. When the police arrived, the man had injured himself with a knife in his stomach. During the treatment by the called paramedics he again got into a rage and physically attacked them as well as two police officers. It was only after further police patrols had been called in that the 25-year-old was finally able to be overwhelmed and reassured. He was then taken to hospital. Two rescue workers and the two police officers were slightly injured as a result of the acts of resistance. The 25-year-old is now under investigation for assaulting rescue workers and law enforcement officials.
