The leader of the League held a press conference to take stock of the Coronavirus crisis: “The problem is not with the red zones but with the whole territory.” Italy now has three times the number of infected cases compared to Hong Kong.

Matteo Salvini held a press conference at the Senate to address the coronavirus emergency. He rattled off some figures that reveal the gravity of the situation. “The tourism sector alone saw a 80 percent decline.” And he announced that the estimates calculated by the League would require “ten billion” euros in support of families and businesses.

Referring to Prime Minister Conte, who spoke of some “errors in hospital protocols” that caused the spread of the virus, Salvini pointed out: “Some blamed operators, doctors, nurses, and managers in an unpleasant way. Since the beginning of the crisis we have been working on the health front, with mayors, local doctors, operators and nurses who are doing a great job.”

Salvini went on to say that the League has prepared “a decalogue that we will make available to the government, because despite the unpleasant attitude of someone looking for enemies in other people’s homes, it is a time when the population is asking us for proposals. They will be handed over to the government and I personally I will deliver them by phone. We hope that the government will not quarantine the proposals of the League”.

The former Interior Minister also responded to the accusations of Prime Minister Conte, who had said that he had contacted Salvini without ever receiving any reply: “Just call, or send a Whatsapp, to the right number…”

Shortly before, Salvini on Facebook had expressed his solidarity with those who are committed to the fight against Coronavirus: “A big hug of solidarity and all our support for doctors, nurses, health workers, volunteers, law enforcement and all governors, regional administrators and mayors who are working tirelessly to contain and combat the virus emergency.”

And he has singled out those who “without any gratitude and to wash their conscience, want to deflect blame and responsibility” while some 100 000 suspected cases remain under an effective quarantine.

Prime Miniser Giuseppe Conte’s reputation has come under fire and his popularity is slipping despite the new measures his government has put in place to contain the contagion in the coming days.

This comes after Conte admitted that a hospital in Lombardy inadvertently helped spread the virus by not adhering to certain health-care protocols. Conte has blamed the hospital for the outbreak, raising questions about whether “the European nation is capable of containing the outbreak,” according to CNN.

“That certainly contributed to the spread,” Conte said, but he did not name hospital concerned. The infection has been centered around the town of Codogno, south of Milan. “Obviously we cannot predict the progress of the virus. It is clear that there has been an outbreak and it has spread from there,” Conte told reporters.

On Monday, a team of health experts from the World Health Organization and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control arrived in Italy to assist local authorities.

China has registered around 80 000 cases, South Korea is approaching a thousand, and the figures will probably increase. In third place is Italy, which has already overtaken Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The European country with the most infected, excluding Italy, is Germany with 16 cases. The virus has ignored Brexit, as the United Kingdom counts 13, followed by France with 12 cases and one death (a Chinese tourist).

At this point it is legitimate to ask how the other European countries have managed to avoid the health emergency. Many, by the way, have not even imposed air blocks, contrary to Italy.

As La Verità newspaper pointed out, without stopping flights, Paris has managed to stem contagion and limit damage to a minimum. Beyond the Alps, the password is prevention. Sensing that the Italian situation would get worse and worse, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe held a summit with the Interior Minister Christophe Castaner, that of Defense, Florence Parly, and that of Health, Olivier Véran. Paris has imposed quarantine for all people who have returned from the former Middle Empire, but flights to and from China were not blocked. The French government has been able to limit the infections by cordoning off buildings or holiday villages with 200 people isolated in a holiday village of Carry-Le-Rouet, near Marseille; another 60, returned from Wuhan, were isolated in Branville, Normandy, in a holiday facility.

Also, in Contamine-Montjoie, in a ski resort where a British tourist from Singapore had contracted Covid-19, the resort was closed off.

There were other precautions taken too by the French: the government invited parents who have been on vacation in Northern Italy, China or other areas affected by the virus to keep their children at home for 14 days.

The number of children who rob other children has increased by 100% in only four years, according to a new study by Swedish police about reported violent crimes in which children under the age of 15 are both the victims and the perpetrators. In 2016, there were 1,178 robberies against children under 18 years of age. In 2019, the number had increased to 2,484. The number of violent crimes where the suspect is a child under 15 years of age has also gone up dramatically: In 2015, there were 6,359 reported violent crimes where the suspect was a child under 15. In 2019, that number had increased to 8,719 reported violent crimes.

The crimes involve “Violence to the head, kicks, gun threats, burning with lighters, threats to kill, threats to bomb the school, stabbings with food knives, bites and children who have been scratched, dragged, thrown and locked up by other children”.

The lowest age of a suspected perpetrator was seven. There has also been an increasing number of girl gangs. One girl was violently assaulted by a gang of five girls who kicked her, beat her and spat at her. The girl said she thought she was going to die.

“It’s ordinary children who are robbed on their way to and from school, they are called ‘whore’ and told that they’re going to get a Glock in the mouth. I think we are letting the kids down”, said regional police chief Carin Götblad.

Crimes committed by children under 15 years of age are not investigated by the police; they are left to the social workers. “When we get [such cases], we send [them] to [the social workers] and then it goes a little under the radar. This is not something we have discussed before,” said Götblad, who criticized municipalities for not taking crimes committed by children seriously enough.

“I think there is an inherent reflex to ignore it because it’s not very nice, but then we who are professionals need to look at this in particular and raise awareness. I am terribly worried about all vulnerable victims of crime,” Götblad said. “The suspects are also victims in some sense, but this is still something we have to deal with, that children also commit crimes”.

According to Götblad, parents are afraid to report the crimes committed by other children against their children.

“Parents are afraid of threats and harassment of their children”, said Götblad. “It’s really important to report, [but] at the same time I can’t say I don’t understand their fear”.

The parents may not only be motivated by fear, but by an unwillingness — or inability — of Swedish authorities to help them and ensure the safety of their children — a basic duty of authorities everywhere.

In August 2019, 13-year-old Filip and his family had no other choice than to move from the city of Uppsala after a gang of minors made his life there unbearable. He was abused, robbed and his life was threatened by gangs, with Swedish authorities telling him not to report it to the police as this would make things “worse” for him. The police even told the family that moving was their best option.

When authorities fail to honor their responsibilities, lawlessness results. This is visible in all of Swedish society, not only with respect to children.

Recently, children found explosive material hidden in a sandbox in the Sorgenfri elementary school in the city of Malmö, according to Sveriges Radio. It is still unclear who put them there.

Last year there were 257 reports of explosions — including attempted explosions — an increase of 59% compared to 2018, according to SVT Nyheter. Yet, only seven people have been convicted for any of those 257 crimes. In 2020, at least 10 explosions have already taken place.

In addition to the rise in crimes against children and the rise in explosions, the number of reported rapes against women also increased by 10% in 2019, compared to the previous year, with a total of 4,670 reported rapes. The number of reported rapes against men has also soared by 35% to 260 reported cases. Reported rapes against children remained unchanged at around 3,400.

As previously noted by Gatestone Institute, this summer, a private foundation, Det Goda Samhället (“The Good Society”) published a report based on statistics from Swedish authorities. The report showed:

“For the first time now, more crimes — in absolute terms — are committed by persons of foreign background than by persons of Swedish origin… The most crime-prone population subgroup are people born [in Sweden] to two foreign-born parents”.

According to Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, however, Sweden’s problems with gang violence would supposedly have been the same without immigration. When asked in November 2019 about the links between mass immigration and gang violence, Löfven refused any connection, while indirectly acknowledging, in a somewhat self-contradictory manner, that gang violence is an imported problem:

“We didn’t use to have this kind of [gang] violence then but now we have it… The segregation is because there is too low employment and too high unemployment in these areas. But that would have been the same regardless of who had lived there. If you would put people born in Sweden in the same conditions, you would get the same result.”

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte admitted on Monday that a hospital in northern Italy “did not follow protocol” and has thus contributed to the spread of the coronavirus in the nation.

“It is clear that there has been an outbreak and it has spread from there,” said Prime Minister Conte of the Italian hospital in question, according to a report by Corriere della Sera.

“It is known that there has been management at the hospital that was not entirely proper according to prudent protocols that are recommended in these cases, and this has certainly contributed to the spread,” added the Italian prime minister. “But beyond that, we continue with the utmost caution and rigor.”

The report did not confirm which hospital it was but said that it is likely in Codogno, Lombardy. Lombardy is one of the most heavily affected Italian regions with regards to the coronavirus outbreak, as there are 212 confirmed cases in the region.

Conte has asked the presidents of all Italian regions – even those not affected by the coronavirus – not to act without first consulting with Rome, the nation’s capital.

“It was actually the regions that made the decisions to be proactive, and to adapt to the difficulties of the moment by giving a response of superior efficiency,” said the president of Italy’s Lombardy region, Attilio Fontana, who reportedly clashed with Prime Minister Conte over the issue.

Fontana also said that Rome did not listen to presidents of the Italian regions after some had suggested “about a month ago” that it might be necessary to take extra precautions due to the possibility of a coronavirus outbreak in Italy.

The president of the Liguria region, Giovanni Toti, agreed, suggesting that if anyone has been inattentive with regards to the coronavirus, it has not been the leaders of the Italian regions.

“If anything, some response and initiative has been lacking on the part of the government,” said Toti of Rome.

Italian officials have put parts of the Lombardy and Veneto regions on lock-down and estimate that about 100,000 people are affected by travel restrictions across the regions.

Italy has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths in Europe. As of Tuesday, the Italian civil protection agency reported that the number of confirmed cases is now at 283. The number was at 229 on Monday. Seven people have died from the coronavirus in Italy.

Gruesome conclusion to a difficult marriage. At dawn, a man is said to have killed a mother of four.

Around 6.30 a.m. on Monday, the man (41 years old) himself had dialled the emergency call. The fire department’s control center immediately called the police, and patrol cars and paramedics rushed to the apartment building in downtown Dortmund. In the apartment the worst fears were confirmed: For the young woman (30 years old) any kind of help came too late. Prosecutor Henner Kruse: “According to initial investigations, she died by violence against the neck. The exact cause of death will be determined in an autopsy on Tuesday.” Due to the death of the mother, four children (2 to 7 years old) of the Iraqi couple become half-orphans. According to the information in the newspaper BILD, the siblings were in the apartment at the time of the crime, but were probably in the children’s room. The youth welfare office took the children into care. Apparently the murdered mother had only recently broke free from her failed marriage. Several domestic violence cases are currently pending against her husband. The victim had sought temporary protection from her husband at a women’s shelter. After that, the woman and her children moved into an apartment of their own.

Neighbour Romina N. (25 years old): “For four weeks her husband had also been living there. There was always fighting, one could hear the loud screams of the two throughout the house.” What was the trigger for the deadly escalation on Monday morning is unclear.

The suspect has been arrested and is scheduled to appear before the magistrate on Tuesday.

The German federal government is slated to again allow an Iranian regime-sponsored demonstration calling for the obliteration of Israel’s nearly 7 million Jews to take place in the heart of Berlin.German Jews and politicians urged the Berlin authorities to pull the plug on the scheduled May Al Quds Day protest against the existence of Israel.

“On February 21, 2020 at approximately 1012 hours,” according to Amador County, California sheriff-coroner Martin A. Ryan, “deputies and detectives responded to the area of Highway 124 and Highway 16 in Plymouth to the report of a male subject on the ground with a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, they located and identified 66-year-old Philip Haney, who was deceased and appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was located next to Haney and his vehicle. This investigation is active and ongoing. No further details will be released at this time.”

The establishment media ignored the story but as Michelle Mears noted in the California Globe, Haney’s relatives and friends did not believe he had killed himself. That left the question of motive, and high on the list of suspects would be Islamic terrorists.

Haney was a UC Riverside alum who worked as a field agricultural entomologist in the Middle East, where he began studying Arabic and the Quran. In a 2016 interview, Frank Gaffney asked Haney to comment on the behavior of “Islamic supremacists” and their doctrine of shariah.

“Some people have heard about ants, how they leave scent trails,” Haney said. “And other insects do it, too, so they can follow each other around and not get lost. Well, that’s essentially what shariah is. That is the universe that Muslims live inside, it forms the boundaries of the world that they live in. And their attempt to implement shariah on a global basis, from their perspective, is an attempt to establish order in this chaotic, violent world that we live in. That’s why they always say that Islam is a religion of peace. Because for them, shariah equals peace.”

The erudite Haney proved adept at tracking terrorist groups, but as he explained in The Hill on May 5, 2016, the Department of Homeland Security ordered him “to delete or modify several hundred records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups like Hamas from the important federal database, the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS).”

As Haney told Gaffney, “The mosque that [San Bernardino terrorist] Syed Farook attended was part of that Tablighi Jamaat network. The administration deleted sixty-seven records out of the system that I had worked on as a component of the Tablighi case.” So those still part of that terrorist network might have a motive to silence Haney, who provided a broader picture in See Something Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad.

Haney also authored Frontpage articles such as, “Deobond Attacks in San Bernardino, Sri Lanka,” “The Terrorist Ties that Bind,” and “The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America’s Ominous Post-Election Statement.” That extensive piece, Haney wrote at the end, was “Finished at 2017 hours on January 19, 2017, the evening before the Inauguration of Donald J. Trump as President.” 

Trump called out Islamic terrorism and according to Kerry Picket in the Washington Examiner, Haney was “recently in contact with top officials about returning to work for the DHS.” That would not please the DHS holdovers who went after Haney for telling the truth about Islamic terrorists.  

After Haney’s testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2016, Sen. Ted Cruz asked Jeh Johnson, DHS Secretary from 2013-17, if Haney’s testimony was accurate. “I have no idea. I don’t know who Mr. Haney is,” Johnson replied. “I wouldn’t know him if he walked into the room.”

Haney said DHS investigated him nine times and revoked his security clearance. The Department of Justice charged that Haney “misused a government computer,” charges later dropped. Still, the news that Haney might be returning to DHS would not thrill POTUS 44 “wing man” Eric Holder, who has been telling reporters looking into DOJ malfeasance to “shut the hell up.”

John Durham is mounting a criminal investigation and as Sebastian Gorka explains, “the counter-coup has begun” and “the deep state beast is writing in discomfiture.” The coup clan failed to removed Trump from office and may now be convinced that Trump will be reelected. So it is entirely possible that the death of DHS whistleblower Phil Haney was the first shot fired in the deep state coverup.

“Phil had firsthand evidence that Obama was secretly advancing Islamic hegemony in the U.S.,” Haney’s friend Bill Becker, told the California Globe. “He sacrificed his career to expose it.” His suspicious death deserves an investigation by the FBI, but at this writing, nothing has been announced. As FBI critics might note, after Bernie Sanders supporter James Hodgkinson shot down Steve Scalise, an FBI special agent told reporters it was too soon to say if the shooter had deliberately targeted Republican lawmakers.

Meanwhile, according to the California Globe, friends of Phil Haney said he was “preparing to go back on the road during the 2020 election season.” That raises issues far beyond Amador County, California.

If they manage to win the White House, any of the leading Democrats would surely shut down all investigations into any misconduct by the administration of POTUS 44. At this writing, the Democrats’ leading contender is Rip Van Winkle communist Bernie Sanders, and the election takes place on November 3. As President Trump says, we’ll have to see what happens.

A new ship, financially backed by the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD), will start rescuing migrants in the Mediterranean trying to reach to Europe, raising fears that the vessel may be used to aid illegal immigrants entering Europe. 

The “Sea-Watch 4” ship has been inaugurated by the United4Rescue initiative, which is led by the German Protestants and supported by another 400 organizations. The 45-year-old ship, previously used as a research vessel, should start its first mission this April.

Last Thursday, several politicians and church leaders attended the ceremonial ship launching in Kiel in northern Germany.

At the ceremony, the chairman of the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD), Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, said European leaders should do more for migrants.

“One does not let any single human drown, end of the discussion,” urged Bedford-Strohm.

A number of European countries have expressed their opposition to the activities of Sea-Watch and other similar organizations. Italy’s previous interior minister, Matteo Salvini, implemented the policy of refusing to allow migrants to dock in Italy’s ports, causing a stand-off that left many ships stranded until other European states said they would accept the migrants.

“Sea Watch does trafficking in human beings and doesn’t care about the rules,” said Salvini, saying that he would never allow the ship to land in Italy with migrants.

Sea-Watch’s captain was then arrested last year in Italy after she illegally docked in an Italian port with illegal migrants. The prosecutor questioned her over her activities, saying she aided illegal immigrants reach Europe. The 31-year-old German captain, Carola Rackete, was released three days later.

Is the German Church encouraging illegal migration to Europe?

The United4Rescue has also launched a crowdfunding campaign #WirschickeneinSchiff, or “We send a ship”, to finance the rescue of migrants in the Mediterranean.

As the Protestant Church in Germany handed over the ship to the German NGO Sea-Watch, the organization will now operate the ship, along with its other vessel Sea-Watch 3. However, the new ship is bigger than the Sea-Watch 3, as its standard capacity reaches 300 people but can accommodate up to 900 people in the case of an emergency.

The crew will consist of about 26 volunteers and Sea-Watch employees, which will set to sail on four-week missions.

The ship will make its first voyage in just a few days as it will sail from Kiel to Burriana, a port in eastern Spain. After further renovations are done on the ship in Burriana, the vessel will, according to several media sources, offer a “safe” area with 24 beds for women and children.

The crew of the boat should be able to treat typical syndromes that migrants often suffer from, such as dehydration, bruising and burns from petrol which happens when migrants travel on boats unsuitable for sea travel, however, the medical staff will not be able to handle severe medical emergencies.

Critics say that the rescue boats paradoxically lead to more migrant deaths, with many more migrants encouraged to make the voyage with the belief that they have a chance of being rescued should their boat sink.

The Visegrad Four countries of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic have lobbied to provide aid to countries that serve as the source for migration instead of accepting more migrants into Europe.
