On Tuesday, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe briefed Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on documents revealing an alleged Hillary Clinton plot to launch a scandal campaign attempting to tie then-candidate Donald Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian’s hacking of the Democratic National Committee. The Intelligence Community had discovered a Russian analysis about the plot and even briefed President Barack Obama about it. CIA Director John Brennan forwarded a referral to FBI Director James Comey and a certain deputy assistant director of counterintelligence named Peter Strzok.

Graham suggested the newly uncovered documents suggest a double standard at the FBI.

“This latest information provided by DNI Ratcliffe shows there may have been a double standard by the FBI regarding allegations against the Clinton campaign and Russia,” Graham said in a statement. “Whether these allegations are accurate is not the question. The question is did the FBI investigate the allegations against Clinton like they did Trump? If not, why not? If so, what was the scope of the investigation? If none, why was that?”

Graham said he would question Comey about this report at the hearing on Wednesday.

Ratcliffe revealed the Russian intelligence on the alleged Clinton plot in a letter to Graham and other senators.

“In late July 2016, U.S. intelligence agencies obtained insight into Russian intelligence analysis alleging that U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal against U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump by tying him to Putin and the Russians’ hacking of the Democratic National Committee,” the DNI wrote. “The IC does not know the accuracy of this allegation or the extent to which the Russian intelligence analysis may reflect exaggeration or fabrication.”

According to Ratcliffe, Brennan’s handwritten notes recall that the CIA director “briefed President Obama and other senior national security officials on the intelligence, including the ‘alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services.’”

On September 7, 2016, intelligence officials forwarded an investigative referral to Comey and Strzok — later notorious for his anti-Trump bias as revealed in texts to his then-lover, Lisa Page — regarding “U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s approval of a plan concerning U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private mail server.”

It is no secret that Clinton painted Trump as compromised and in bed with Russia. Yet it does seem rather noteworthy that Russian intelligence claimed she had cooked up a Trump-Russia scandal back in July.

As PJ Media reported in 2017, the Clinton campaign — through the intermediator law firm Perkins Coie — had hired Fusion GPS to conduct research into Trump back in April 2016. When Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya infamously met with Trump campaign officials in June 2016, she was also working with Fusion GPS and had met with Glenn Simpson before and after the Trump Tower meeting.

It is possible that the Trump Tower meeting was a Clinton set-up, a Honeypot operation designed to bolster Clinton’s claim that Trump was in bed with Russia. If this was the case, it seems likely that news of this operation could have reached Russian intelligence operatives, and their reports ended up in Brennan’s hands.

Alternately, the Russian documents could have been a false flag, meant to smear Clinton or — more likely — to further divide Americans. As Graham noted, the Russian intelligence has not been confirmed, and it seems unlikely Clinton herself would ever confirm it, if it were true.

Unemployed refugees and their family members cost the German state over €6 billion ($7 billion) annually, according to data obtained from the German Ministry of Labor

The data emerged from the Ministry of Labor in response to an information request from Harald Weyel, the Bundestag representative of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, and made available to Junge Freiheit.

Weyel originally asked the federal government what the average monthly costs for the accommodation, care and support of an asylum seeker are. According to the Ministry of Labor, however, this cannot be answered using the data from the regular asylum seeker statistics alone. More precise information could only be given here in relation to the basic social security statistics for job seekers.

In May 2020, for example, there were around 397,000 beneficiary groups (mostly families) “with at least one employable beneficiary with a residence status in the context of refugee migration”, according to the Ministry of Labor’s response. “The average monthly payment entitlement of these beneficiary groups was €1,389 and includes the entitlements for all members of these benefit communities.”

Accordingly, the social costs for unemployed or low-income refugees as well as their family or household members amounted to more than €551 million in May alone. Extrapolated across the year, that would be around €6.6 billion.

For Weyel, the figures are further proof that the asylum wave of 2015 and its financial consequences are far from over.

“The federal government tries to disguise the costs of its ‘welcome policy’ in various statistics and budget items. Here, we have very specific figures for what a certain group costs the German taxpayer every month,” he told Junge Freiheit.

Weyel explained that more than €six billion are an enormous sum that the “normal wage earner” can hardly imagine.

“That’s why I like to convert such numbers into single family houses so that it becomes more understandable. If you put the average cost of your own home at around €350,000, we’re talking about almost 19,000 single-family homes every year, and only for support benefits for unemployed refugees and their families. This is madness!”

Weyel said it was incomprehensible for him that the federal government — which recently agreed to accept more migrants from Greece’s Moria Camp even after five Afghans were arrested for  setting their own camp on fire — is bringing more and more migrants to Germany instead of reducing their number through consistent deportations and repatriations.

“Horst Seehofer and Angela Merkel may bask in their self-declared humanity, but it is the German taxpayers who have to pay for it,” Wevel said.

Wevel is not the only one raising concerns, with even members of Merkel’s party also decrying the state’s response to the migrant crisis. This year, German Interior Minister for the state of Saaraland Klaus Bouillon (CDU) said that Germans are growing less tolerant of new arrivals due the record number it receives every year. 

“There is great discontent among the population because everyone who arrives here immediately has many or even more rights along with rights to benefits and medical care than someone who has worked here for their entire life,” said Bouillon.

Germany has also paid enormous costs for training, employing and integrating refugees. In 2018, the German government spent a record €23 billion on migrants, including rent subsidies, jobless payments, language lessons, and other benefits. That figure does not account for what individual states spent either, with Hamburg’s government releasing data showing it spent €5.35 billion on asylum seekers between 2015 and the end of 2019.

During the subsequent arrest he resisted strongly. He kicked and punched at the officers and carried on insulting them severely.Finally, the man was arrested.On the way from the shopping mall to the police car he shouted “Allahu Akbar” several times. In the police car, on the way to the police station, he said that he wanted to kick a female officer in the face and tried to give her a head butt. He did not succeed, however, so that nobody was hurt. Since there were strong indications that the man was under the influence of drugs, a blood sample was taken and criminal proceedings were initiated against him.
