Friday’s brutal murder of high school teacher Samuel Paty in France has once again sparked a debate on extremism and sent the country into crisis, with National Rally leader Marine Le Pen slamming French President Emmanuel Macron’s failure to control terrorism in the country.

“Islamism is at war with us. We have to evict it from our country by force,” said Marine Le Pen in response to Paty’s death.

President Emmanuel Macron has long been under pressure to take a tougher stance on Islamic extremism and separatism. Among other things, speculation about the expulsion of more than two hundred radicals in response to the attack started to circulate in the media. France is also expected to tighten up the screening of asylum applications and increase control over the funding of Islamic organizations.

However, Macron has made sweeping promises to combat Islamic extremism in the past that never came to fruition. In fact, a similar Islamic extremist beheading occurred in France just in 2015, and little progress has been made since then. 

History teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded because he showed his students a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad in a class discussion focused on freedom of speech. He was assassinated by an 18-year-old Islamic Chechen radical who was born in Moscow and had refugee status in France.

Macron is aware that the sensitive issue is closely connected to his other political ambitions. He is expected to wage battle for the Élysée Palace in 2022 with Marine Le Pen, and polling shows it will be a tighter race than 2017. Her campaign will undoubtedly be based on promises of stricter action against radicals and together immigration controls. She has called for all unaccompanied minors to be deportedback to their country of origin, which she says will help control the issue of crime and terrorism, and reduce the massive cost burden they incur on France.

Following the beheading attack, French police have launched an investigation of dozens of Islamists, mainly because of their posts on the Internet. According to the AFP agency, Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin announced this action, explaining that a father of one of the students and a Muslim activist issued a fatwa against the history teacher. Fifteen people are in custody in connection with the investigation, according to AFP.

“One of our compatriots was murdered because he taught about freedom of speech, the freedom to believe or not to believe,” Macron said after the attack.

At the same time, the French president has been labeled a failure to tackle the issue of extremism. French journalist Patrick Edery in Poland even released documents showed that the Chechen responsible for the beheading attack had his asylum request to Poland rejected ten years ago along with the rest of his family. Edery highlighted that Poland has suffered zero Islamic terrorist attacks in sharp contrast to the deteriorating situation in France. 

The attack on Samuel Paty, whose memory was honored by tens of thousands of people on Sunday, has taken on incredible symbolic meaning. 

“Paty is a martyr for sacred French values. He is seen as a victim of war for France’s future,” Tom Rogan, a Middle East expert, wrote in a commentary for Washington Examiner.

On Sunday, Reuters reported that 231 foreigners suspected of religious extremism will be deported in response to Paty’s murder. However, the Ministry of the Interior did not confirm the information.

In September, a man of Pakistani descent also committed a terrorist attack outside the old offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, stabbing two people over the magazine’s decision to republish its Muhammad cartoons. He is a so-called unaccompanied minor who confessed to lying about his age to get protection status upon entering France, revealing to authorities that he was actually 25 instead of 18. 

Those people and organizations associated with radicalism are reportedly under more intense observation at the moment, with authorities mulling dissolving certain organizations. 

The government also is preparing a law focusing on Muslim radicals, which, according to authorities, create a parallel society defying French values. Therefore, the interior ministry plans, for example, to educate imams in France instead of having them come from abroad.

Other plans of the interior ministry include the reduction of foreign influence, mainly the financial one, on the French Muslim population of about six million people. Furthermore, it intends to tighten the rules for home education, which should only be allowed for health reasons.

The draft legislation should be ready in December. Macron is trying to avoid giving the impression that he blames the entire Muslim community for the recent attacks. That is why he wants French Muslims to take part in the planned measures. Earlier this month, he also spoke about the necessity to invest in the suburbs of large cities where most immigrants live. He also said that the country had failed for decades as it allowed the emergence of ghettos where “the most radical forms of Islam have become a source of hope.”

After the malicious knife attack on two tourists from North Rhine-Westphalia, the police were able to overpower the suspected killer, a 20-year-old Syrian, in Dresden during the night of Wednesday.

The Dresden police had set up a special commission (29 officers) after an unknown person attacked two tourists behind the Kulturpalast on the evening of October 4. A 55-year-old man from Krefeld died and a 53-year-old man from Cologne survived the attack with serious injuries.The killer left the kitchen knife at the scene of the crime. Experts from the State Criminal Police Office of Saxony found DNA traces which led to a hit in the police database.

According to information in the newspaper BILD, the special task force was deployed in Dresden during the night to track down the Syrian. He finally got into a control at Wilsdruffer Street, was overpowered and arrested.

Senior public prosecutor Jürgen Schmidt (46): “He was already known to the police.”

The motive for the crime is still unclear. The attacker had not taken any valuables from the men, so a robbery offence is ruled out. An arrest warrant for murder has been issued against the 20-year-old, on which a decision will be made later today, as the police and public prosecutor’s office announced on Wednesday.

The accused has been in Germany since 2015 and has a temporary residence permit. A targeted search for him had been carried out.

A video has appeared, which presumably shows a physical confrontation between security forces and residents of the refugee accommodation in the Niederzwehren district of Kassel. The alleged reason for the clash: four residents of the initial reception centre infected with the coronavirus are said to have spit on three security forces on Friday afternoon.Therefore, a 44-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man as well as a 13- and 16-year-old resident, all of whom are from Iraq, are being investigated on suspicion of dangerous bodily injury, police spokesman Matthias Mänz said when asked.A first police operation had already been carried out on Friday morning, as reported by the newspaper HNA. In the end, both men are overpowered by the security forces.The Giessen Regional Council confirms the incident, which according to the authority took place as follows: On Friday, a family that had tested positive had misused the possibility of being allowed to stay outdoors to attack and spit on security staff. “In order to protect other residents and themselves, the security staff had to prevent the family from doing so. The family only calmed down after the police arrived,” explained the spokesman of the Regional Council, Oliver Kessler, on Monday evening.Security staff would be given the opportunity to be tested voluntarily on Wednesday. For the past 200 days, Democratic governors have been commanding their states to go on lockdown, and ordering nursing homes to be seeded with COVID patients. 

The result has been the twin disaster of broken economies and high COVID death tolls, way out of proportion to the rest of the country. And incredibly, they’re blaming President Trump for all of the bad consequences of their own acts, and reaping big political hay from it.

They do all the harm, Trump gets all the blame, they take all the glory.

What power-mad leftist wouldn’t want a heads-I-win, tails-you-lose setup like that? Torture your state, blame Trump, win big. 

So it’s natural to expect that the worst of them might just keep holding their states on lockdown as a hostage act, at least until election day, to beat their citizens into submission. After that, the mask can come off.

Far-left Democrat Gretchen Whitmer, though, didn’t want to wait.

According to Red State: 

Whitmer told host Chuck Todd that lockdowns and COVID restrictions can end, if Americans just vote for Joe Biden. The governor, who has become one of the faces of hypocritical lockdowns for the Left over the last few months, insinuated that Trump doesn’t care that 220,000 people have died so far from COVID, and that 8 million positive COVID tests have been logged so far.

She also insinuated that the real victims of the lockdowns are the heroes who are staying closed and staying home indefinitely, and that Trump and anyone who wants to get back to living their American lives are, in fact, inciting violence.

“Every moment that we are not focused on the fact that there are 220,000 Americans who have died from this virus is good for him. So in that sense, as he incites additional violence against people who are just trying to save one another’s lives. It’s good for him. And that’s why I don’t want to talk about him endangering public servants lives. I want to talk about what he hasn’t done and that’s his job. The Trump virus response is the worst in the globe. I mean in the world, it’s the worst 8 million people have been have contracted covid-19, 220000 dead. We’ve got people in food pantry line who never would have imagined that they be there and no light on the horizon because our numbers keep going up.”

The mask is off. The secret slips out. She’s been holding them hostage all along. Facts, or even taking care of her own tax base, don’t mean a thing to her. Who needs a tax base when you’ve got Joe Biden in a position of power?

It’s utterly surreal. She falsely claims the “The Trump Virus response” is the “worst in the globe” and pay no attention to Trump’s ramped up PPE production, his dispatch of Naval hospital ships to hard-hit cities, his shutdown of travel from China, his warp-speed effort to develop a vaccine, his freeing of experimental treatments for the desperate, and other swift-acting, and serious crisis management manuevers. Whitmer, by contrast, has seeded the nursing homes with COVID patients, created conditions for brutal vicious beatings of nursing home patients with mental health patients (which happened), and micromanaged her state’s lockdown (a prison term) on the entire state, banning even the sale of garden seeds and isolating in one’s remote beach cabin, despite the majority of COVID deaths occurring in nursing homes in Democrat-run and Democrat-mismanaged Detroit. 

To top it off, she expressed ingratitude when President Trump saved her from a BLM-linked anti-police group’s kidnap conspiracy, and had a husband who attempted to jump the queue to ensure that he could evade COVID restrictions ahead of people waiting in line.

Bottom line here, she’s holding her state hostage. No Biden, no end to lockdown. This is someone who ought to be impeached from office and swiftly thrown out.

Sweden’s Ångermanland District Court on Monday sentenced Abucbaker Mohamad Awad, a Sudanese national, to life in prison for the murder of 19-year-old Tommie Lindhn and rape of a young female under the threat of a knife.

On May 10, the 23-year-old Sudanese migrant stabbed Tommie Lindhn to death in his own apartment in Härnösand after Lindhn had made an attempt to stop Mohamad Awad from raping a girl who was also at the afterparty.

In a press release, the district court commented on the verdict, saying: “The murder has been particularly ruthless and has also meant severe suffering for a deceased person. The punishment will therefore be life imprisonment.”

“A person charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated rape, rape and aggravated unlawful threat is sentenced by the district court for murder, attempted aggravated assault, aggravated rape, rape and aggravated unlawful threat to life imprisonment,” the court added.

The court also ordered Mohamad Awad to pay a total of €39,000 in damages to five individuals involved in the case.

According to a report from the Swedish news outlet Expressen, Abubaker Mohamad Awad, originally from Sudan, first arrived in Sweden in 2005 with his parents. The 23-year-old Sudanese migrant had previously been convicted of several crimes, including sexual harassment, drug offenses, and shoplifting.

In September, details emerged in the case which revealed that prior to the murder, the perpetrator had accused Tommie Lindh and the female victim of being racists for having a Sweden Democrats hat inside of the apartment. During an interview with police, the female victim said that she had tried to explain to Mohamad Awad that neither Lindh or herself were in fact racists, but that it had only enraged him more, Expressen reported.

Shortly after, the Sudanese man force her into the toilet where he raped her for the first time. She then rushed to Lindh’s room where he was sleeping, and they contacted the police. Tragically, before the police arrived at the scene, Mohamad Awad stabbed Lindh to death in his own bathroom, before going on to rape the female victim for a second time.

Not long after the murder had taken place, a right-wing group conducted peaceful demonstrations against the murder in Härnösand. Subsequently, Sweden’s left-wing press then smeaered the demonstrators as “Nazis”.  Sweden’s state-run broadcaster SVT, who amplified this false narrative, then paid a visit to Lindh’s father’s home, where he was made to defend his deceased son against accusations of racism.

As Andrea Widburg noted in her excellent post here, the left has pulled out all stops to create a miasma of confusing information about the frighteningly sharp and clear Hunter Biden emails found on an abandoned MacBook Pro computer, of a crack addict selling access to his father’s office for millions in public gain.

The computer itself is evidence, corroborated by additional emails from Biden’s associates, in jail or heading there, while the rapacious Hunter skates. There’s additional information the Senate investigative report.

Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, though, same as he did during impeachment, claims it’s Russian disinformation, assuming he can go to that well more than once. His New York Times media toadies are following.

Other members of the leftist press are, with JournoList-style echo-chamber talking points, calling it a “garbage fire.” See here and here.

Some leftists are claiming Photoshopping. Others are yelling partisan dirty tricks. Salon called it a “complete fabrication.”

The truth keeps licking closer, which explains why Biden has remained silent, telling a reporter: “I have no response!” to the Hunter Biden influence-selling story, which very clearly involves him. He’s hoping to pull a Clinton, making the story of “the big guy” and his bagman son all go away.

Maybe that’s because, as Hunter’s emails say, he’s “the big guy,” taking his fifty percent cut. A recent IBD/TIPP poll is showing that it’s a scandal that’s taking off for real on his presidential bid, with rapidly falling public support. It is, after all, classic high-level, and very naked corruption that can be explained in a sentence or two — Hunter Biden sold access to Joe Biden’s office for millions of dollars, payable in advance. He wants that out of the news entirely.

Social media has made an unprecedented, and shark-jumping, effort to oblige, silencing and shutting down the whole story, as well as the New York Post which reported it. The receipt story is not searchable with Google.

Bottom line, though, is that it’s getting harder to refute — the statements and admissions made in the computer, and the proof of ownership. It’s not the Russians, it’s Hunter and Joe.

Following the decapitation of a teacher near Paris by an Islamist, the German Teachers’ Association warns of a “climate of intimidation” even at schools in the Federal Republic. “We are deeply concerned that a atmosphere of intimidation is also developing in Germany,” Association head Heinz-Peter Meidinger told the newspaper “Passauer Neue Presse” (Tuesday).

“The pressure is particularly high in hotspot schools with a high percentage of pupils with a corresponding migration background,” he added. Teachers, for example, were asked not to deal with topics such as the Middle East conflict or Israel in class.

“In some schools, teachers no longer dare to show a film like ‘Schindler’s List’. They get pressure from parents, but also from pupils.This can lead to self-censorship,” said the head of the association.Many teachers in Germany would probably be afraid to refer to the Mohammed cartoons in a lesson on freedom of expression and artistic freedom, for example. “They would then rather avoid mentioning these topics,” says Meidinger. When teachers take a stand on politically and historically sensitive topics, they must expect to be put under pressure.” Teaching people about ethical values and democracy must not become a test of courage for teachers”, Meidinger demanded.
