Paul Krugman Goes Full Nazi in Canceling Prominent Economics Prof

Will there be a tipping point that will mark the beginning of the end of this cancel-culture madness?

If there is, it won’t be because the mob has gone too far but because the mob will pick on someone they shouldn’t have. Who that could be is unclear as the desire to defrock and destroy is going full bore with no end in sight.

Dozens of academics around the country, including Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman, are calling for Harald Uhlig’s ouster as senior editor of the Journal of Political Economy, the most respected economics publication in the West. Uhlig is a prominent economist at the University of Chicago, a bastion of free speech and academic freedom.

Was he perhaps seen in a grainy, 40-year-old photograph wearing blackface? Maybe he wrote something decades ago that offended someone?

Not even close. Uhlig’s sins include “disagreeing with the actions” of Colin Kaepernick, of (falsely) “drawing parallels between the BLM movement and the Ku Klux Klan, and, according to Krugman, Uhlig is “yet another privileged white man who evidently can’t control his urge to belittle the concerns of those less fortunate.”

The rich, famous, and “privileged” Paul Krugman apparently never looked in a mirror. If he had, he’d notice that — omigosh — he’s white too! But like the pigs in Animal Farm, some pigs are more equal than others.

But for Krugman and the other elite snobby academics who are calling for Uhlig’s head, it’s not what he said that matters. Uhlig has left himself open to destruction because — without putting too fine a point on it — he can be destroyed. And in these times in this atmosphere of fear, hate, and loathing, the exercise of the power to destroy becomes an exercise in control.

Fox News:

The drama began when Uhlig wrote on Twitter Monday night: “Too bad, but #blacklivesmatter  per its core organization @Blklivesmatter  just torpedoed itself, with its full-fledged support of #defundthepolice.”

Uhlig continued: “Suuuure. They knew this is non-starter, and tried a sensible Orwell 1984 of saying oh, it just means funding schools (who isn’t in favor of that?!?).But no, the so-called ‘activists’ did not want that. Back to truly ‘defunding’ thus, according to their website. Sigh. #GeorgeFloyd and his family really didn’t deserve being taken advantage of by flat-earthers and creationists. Oh well. Time for sensible adults to enter back into the room and have serious, earnest, respectful conversations about it all: e.g. policy reform proposals by @TheDemocrat  and national healing.”

Uhlig’s primary sin is that he’s not fervent enough in his beliefs. He doesn’t have visions or revelations or weep uncontrollably as they do in North Korea at the sight of their Dear Leader. He makes an observation that BLM “torpedoed itself” by calling for defunding the police. Since 80 percent of the country believes it’s a loony idea, and Uhlig pointed out a fact you’ll have to fear for the future of the academy if these bozos can’t be sidelined.

His second mistake was to chide his friends about the stupidity of the idea. Should he have done that? He’s on Twitter for God’s sake, not writing in the pages of the Journal of Political Economy. His tone was exactly right for a banal social media platform. It may have been out of place in a more serious, academic journal.

As is customary, the condemned man made a last-ditch effort to save his job and career by apologizing to the rabble.

Krugman and his academic thugs will tear through the academy unchecked unless someone puts their foot down. Who is going to stand up to the mob?

As long as there’s blood in the water, the sharks will feed.

Czech police extradite Afghan migrant accused of stabbing his girlfriend 20 times in Germany

Title image: Police on the Czech motorway, where the Afghan was detained (Police of the Czech Republic)

Czech police handed over an Afghan male suspected of attempted murder of his girlfriend to German authorities on Friday. The suspect, who is accused of stabbing her 20 times, was detained in May on a Czech highway with his young son and has been in Czech custody since then.

“The extradition of the suspect to Germany took place on Friday last week,” said police spokeswoman Barbora Schneeweissová without providing further details.

The 32-year-old Afghan migrant, whose girlfriend who survived the attack with severe wounds, is currently under investigation by German police.

Prague police stopped the Afghan suspect on the D1 motorway in early May after German law enforcement informed them that the man suspected of the attempted murder is on the run. His one-and-a-half-year-old child was traveling with him in the car.

As it turned out, on the same day, the suspect has crossed the border in the north of the Czech Republic.

“We received information about the man being on the move from German colleagues shortly after 6 p.m. We launched an investigation and found out that the man crossed the state border at the Krásný Les crossing in the Ústí nad Labem region at 5:48 p.m. However, at that time, he was not in the international register of the wanted persons,“ said Ondřej Moravčík, a spokesman of the police presidium.

The General Inspectorate of Security Forces (GIBS), the Czech independent government agency tasked with investigating crimes of police officers is investigating the circumstances that led to the Afghan male’s entry to the Czech territory. At that time, everyone had to pass a border check at crossings as the restrictions on travel due to the coronavirus pandemic were still in place, which meant that police were required to register every person into the Czech system.

So far, it is not clear what transgression the police officers might have committed, but a breach of border control protocols is one of the considered scenarios. For this transgression, police officers can face up to three years in prison.

Head of a Berlin Shiite Center on Iranian TV: Khomeini’s Revolution Has No Borders

The head of the Imam Reza Islamic Center in Berlin has declared in an interview with an Iranian state-controlled news outlet on June 3 that Tehran’s Islamic revolution has no borders. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), an independent nonpartisan press-monitoring organization, first revealed the video of Sabaheddin Torkilmaz, the head of the Imam Reza Islamic Center, on its website.

According to MEMRI’s translation of Torkilmaz, he told Ofogh TV in Iran: “Since the Revolution [in 1979], Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine – and now Yemen and countries in Africa and in Latin America – have been inspired directly by Imam [Khomeini].” He added: “We need to examine what was the purpose of the Revolution. When Imam [Khomeini] said, ‘We will export the Revolution,’ what was it that he wanted to export? Iranian culture? Iranian-ness?”Torkilmaz continued: “When we understand this, it becomes apparent that the Revolution has no borders. In the political dimension, when the monarchy was overthrown and the Islamic regime came to power, it was only in Iran. The message of the Revolution – and of exporting it – is something else: The struggle against arrogance and oppression.”The US State Department under both the Obama and Trump administrations has classified Iran’s regime as the worst international state-sponsor of terrorism.Torkilmaz stressed the anti-Western worldview of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: “The world needs to know that the system of the Rule of the Jurisprudent stands in opposition to the system of liberal democracy in the world and in opposition to the democracy in America.”

Imam Reza Islamic Center is a Turkish Shi’ite center and mosque in Berlin. In separate news, the pro-Syrian regime news outlet Al-Masdar News (AMN) reported on Monday the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), Major General Hussein Salami, urged the “elimination” of the Jewish state.“The geography of the resistance will not forget the name and goals of the former Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Ramadan Shalah, the high, bright, and hope of liberating Jerusalem and removing the cancerous gland [Israel] from the region,” Salami said. The Jerusalem Post has sent a press query to Germany’s government regarding Salami’s genocidal antisemitic statement.

UK: Don’t buy our tea unless you support Antifa, says Yorkshire Tea

Yorkshire Tea sparked controversy on Twitter after telling one of its local customers not to buy the companies tea bags after she revealed she did not support Black Lives Matter.

Anarchist Antifa that has been banned by President Trump and supports Black Lives Matter thugs who have looted and vandalised cities across the world has been facing a backlash in recent days.

Whilst many agree the death of George Floyd was unnecessary, many are angry at the continued lawlessness and vandalism amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

Harrogate based company told local lass Laura “not to buy” their tea again after she tweeted: “I’m dead chuffed that Yorkshire Tea hasn’t supported BLM.

Protests in Jerusalem against German FM’s visit

Bereaved families and activists demonstrated on Wednesday outside of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem as German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas met with his Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi.

Maas arrived in Israel on Wednesday in order to urge the Israeli government against applying sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria.

The demonstrators, led by the Zionist watchdog group Im Tirtzu and the Choosing Life Forum of Bereaved Families, called on the German Foreign Minister to stop intervening in Israel’s domestic affairs by means of funding “far-Left Israeli propaganda organizations.”

The demonstrators noted that from 2012-2019, the German government provided more than 18 million euro (20 million US dollars) to 32 far-Left NGOs in Israel, many of which are leading the public opposition to Israeli sovereignty and organized the anti-sovereignty protest this past Saturday night in Tel-Aviv.

The demonstrators brought dozens of “bop bags” bearing the names of different “radical” NGOs funded by Germany and chanted slogans including “Germany Will Not Decide For Us,” “Germany: Stop Meddling in Israel’s Domestic Affairs,” and “Stop Funding Political NGOs that Support Terrorists,” and “Diplomatic Relations, Yes. Political Subversion, No.”

In a letter sent yesterday by Im Tirtzu and the Choosing Life Forum, the organizations stated that a substantial portion of Germany’s funding to Israeli NGOs go to NGO that voluntarily defend terrorists in court.

“More than 17% of this sum was transferred to organizations that defend terrorists and their families in Israeli courts,” the letter read. “Terrorists who have murdered our loved ones! Take for example the organization ‘HaMoked: Center for the Defence of the Individual,’ which in the past several years has voluntarily submitted judicial petitions on behalf of 73 terrorists.”

The letter continued: “We are troubled by the fact eight of the organizations that helped organize the protest [this past Saturday night against sovereignty] are funded by the Government of Germany.”

“Foreign Minister Maas,” the letter continued, “if you wish to come to Israel to speak with your Israeli counterparts and try to convince them one way or another, that is legitimate and welcome. But if you are trying to exert your influence via political organizations that you fund in order to create social unrest that will serve your interests, that is subversion and impudence of the highest order, and it is unwelcome here.”

The letter concluded: “We are calling on your government to immediately cease all funding of all radical Israeli political organizations. This funding makes a mockery of any and all efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Im Tirtzu CEO Matan Peleg blasted Germany and accused it of crossing a red line.

“The German government not only provides radical Left Israeli NGOs with millions of euros annually, including NGOs that voluntarily defends terrorists in court, now these organizations are leading the political struggle against Israel’s move to apply sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria.”

“This is political subversion of the highest order, and no democratic country should tolerate it. Israel is not a banana republic; it is one of the most free and civilized countries in the world, and it deserved to be treated as such.”

Peleg added: “We are calling of Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi to demand a clarification from his German counterpart on the timing of his visit and the protest held this past Saturday night, which was organized by eight of the organizations funded by the German Government.”

Herzl and Merav Hajaj, leading members of the Choosing Life Forum and the parents of Shir Hajaj who was murdered in a terrorist attack in 2017, accused Germany of harming Israel’s deterrence.

“We, the bereaved families, meet the German-funded lawyers of far-Left Israelis NGOs in court on a regular basis when they come to defend the terrorists who murdered our loved ones and harm Israeli deterrence.”

“It’s been 75 years since the Holocaust, and the time has come for Germany to stop funding NGOs that lay the groundwork for the murder of more Jews.”

Germany: Judge releases dangerous Islamist from deportation custody because of Corona

Because a deportation was not possible because of the Corona virus a judge finally released an Islamist perpetrator.

By the security authorities, M. is classified as an Islamist. According to information from security authorities, he is part of a networked group that is the focus of the authorities. M. was in prison for dangerous bodily harm. He is said to have strangled his wife to unconsciousness in the presence of the children. Allegedly there were also death threats against his family, who are now in the witness protection program.

The deportation prison at Kirchhainer Damm in Berlin district Lichtenrade can theoretically be shut down! According to the newspaper B.Z., the prison has been completely vacant since May 11th …

A judge had decided that the Chechen dangerous man M. would be released. The reason: his deportation was cancelled because the legal deadline was not met!

M. was released. Because of the Corona measures, the passport replacement papers had not been issued by the country of origin. As the Senate Interior Administration stated in response to a B.Z. inquiry, “the legally prescribed prognosis for the timely execution of the deportation could not have been sufficiently explained”. The management of the deportation prison informed the next police station about the release, because M. was to receive a warning to troublemakers beforehand. But there were language barriers. At some point, an officer of a task force was found who spoke Russian.

M. is above all considered a great danger for his wife and children who live in the witness protection program. It is unclear where he is at the moment and whether he is being monitored by the police.

A spokesman for the administration: “Deportations that could not be carried out in the past weeks due to special circumstances are to be carried out in the future.”

Sweden: Liberal politician tells conservative that he hopes what happened to George Floyd happens to her

A politician from Sweden’s liberal Christian Democratic party told a conservative commentator (pictured above) that he hoped she would suffer the same fate as George Floyd over social media.

Gilite Rugerero, the Vice President of the Christian Democrats party in the town of Nora, made the remark in a tweet directed at Mira Aksoy, a conservative writer and debater who was formerly active with the Right-wing Sweden Democrats party.

Mira Aksoy had written a tweet criticising a Swedish policewoman. The officer had taken a knee and then joined with demonstrators at a Black Lives Matter protest in Stockholm last week, as previously reported by Voice of Europe. Aksoy accused the officer of being “brainwashed.”

In another tweet, Aksoy questioned whether George Floyd had really been killed because of his skin colour. George Floyd was a black man who died while being taken into police custody by officers in the United States two weeks ago. One officer kept Floyd in a choke hold for several minutes before the suspect died. His death has sparked rioting in cities in both the US and Western Europe ever since.

Rugerero was harshly attacking those who criticise the demonstrations on social media last week. And he had some choice words for Aksoy as well. “Hahaha, you are probably the most annoying fucking person on Twitter right now,” he responded to Aksoy in a public tweet on Thursday. “For what reason was [Floyd] killed, then? Wish it had happened to you. Then I would express myself just like you do.”

Rugerero drew criticism for the tweet, which many felt was inappropriate for a sitting politician.

“I regret what I said,” Rugerero said about the incident when contacted by reporters from Fria Tider, as reported on their site. He said that he was provoked into writing the inflammatory reply because he believed that Aksoy had been denying that Floyd had been killed by the police. “I wrote it in irritation,” he added.

As of this writing, Rugerero has not apologised to Aksoy. He has been called to a meeting with his party’s local Chairman, John Sundell, to discuss the affair.

“I may have perceived things a little bit differently from [Aksoy],” Rugerero said. “Before I answer more questions, I want to talk to my party about this.”
