Migrants on the Greek island of Samos have angered a local mayor after they filmed themselves licking children’s food in a supermarket as the country sees a resurgence of the Wuhan coronavirus.

Police in the town of Vethi arrested at least one migrant following the publication of the video on social media which shows a man picking up a carton of baby yoghurt in a supermarket and licking the top of it while smiling at the cameraman.Giorgos Stanzos, mayor of East Samos, reacted with anger to the video, saying according to Proto Thema: “Such antisocial behaviour, in the midst of a pandemic, must be punished wherever it comes from. We thank the Greek police for guarding public safety and health.”

The incident comes as Greece has seen a new wave of coronavirus cases in recent weeks, with the country recording 460 cases on October 2nd, the highest daily number since the outbreak this year.

There have also been several cases of newly arrived illegal migrants testing positive for coronavirus, including several who landed on the island of Lesbos in May.

The first migrant to die from the disease was a 61-year-olf Afghan national who had lived at a migrant camp north of Athens and was treated at an Athens hospital before he passed away late last month.

Coronavirus quarantine measures are also said to have been the motivation for several Afghan migrants to light fires that ended up setting the Moria migrant camp ablaze in September that left an estimated 13,000 migrants homeless.

The fire came after at least 35 camp residents had tested positive for coronavirus.

Shortly after the fire, Greek politicians, including Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi, labelled the incident an arson attack. Police later arrested six Afghan migrants, two of them underage and all under 21, in connection with the fires.

Note: Intolerance is only a bad thing if it is exercised by the native German with regard to questionable Islamic customs. However, if the intolerant people are non-German and in the majority, as in Duisburg, the situation is completely different. There, intolerance in the name of tolerance is better given in quickly before anyone else gets upset.

The girl who is said to have been drugged and then raped by Taswar A. (28 years old) was just 14 years old. She kissed me, took off her panties … And after that? “We sat together for a moment. “Then she wanted to go home.”Why she made the accusations of rape afterwards? “It was a real shock for me. Back home, the police were already looking for him.

Authorities trusted him, the man who allegedly gave hundreds of immigrants a new perspective. After all, he was also the father of a member of parliament for the Social Democratic Party (SPD) at the time.

But Selim Ö. (59) is said to have made a fortune out of the misery of others, cheating the state out of 6.1 million euros. The alleged XXL social fraudster has been in the dock at the Regional Court since Tuesday.

It took the public prosecutor a full three hours to read the indictment, which is more than 100 pages long: “The defendant is accused of 758 crimes in which social benefits amounting to 6.1 million euros were paid without justification under false pretences.33 further attempted frauds would not have been successful. But in the other cases, the defendant is said to have cashed most of the money.

According to the public prosecutor’s office, the ploy worked like this: Selim Ö. got in touch with Bulgarian immigrants as the 1st chairman of the associations “Agency for Employment and Integration e.V.” and “Society for Family and Gender Mainstreaming e.V.”. In the years 2013 to 2016, he is said to have issued them fake employment contracts and helped them to establish pseudo self-employment.

At the beginning of the trial the public prosecutor presented case by case core data of employment contracts with migrants who were allegedly employed by the “Agency for Employment and Integration” or the “Society for Family and Gender Mainstreaming” during the period of the crime. In each case the public prosecutor listed the sums paid out to the migrants by the job centre – sometimes hundreds, often thousands of euros!

According to the prosecution’s investigations, Selim Ö. was aware that the immigrants were not entitled to financial assistance from the Job Centre.

In order to deceive the authorities, he is said to have pretended that the destitute women and men were employees in marginal employment. “In fact, no labour services were provided by the immigrants for the associations at all,” said the public prosecutor. The immigrants have therefore given untruthful information.

From 2013 to 2016, no one at the Job Centre noticed the serial fraud. At the start of the trial, the defendant remained silent. Another 36 days of trial are planned until June next year.

Éric Zemmour, the French philosopher and essayist, has once again found himself the target of the ethics committee of Canal + Group, which is the network owner of CNews, for comments he recently made about so-called ‘unaccompanied minors’ during one of his frequent appearances on the channel.

Five members of the ethics committee will speak with Christine Kelly, a French journalist who’s often featured on the same programs as Zemmour as well as CNews chief Serge Nedjar and several magistrates to determine whether additional airtime will be granted to the writer and polemicist.

The review of Zemmour’s place on the CNews program as well as an investigation opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office for “incitement of racial hatred” and “racist public insults” come just days after the right-wing thinker was fined $10,000 euros for allegedly ‘inciting religious hatred’ during a speech he gave last September on Islam and migration.

This time, Zemmour, as he so often does, ignited public opinion when he made less than flattering remarks about ‘unaccompanied minors’ in France on the program Face à l’Info late last month, Le Parisienreports.

When referring to the ‘unaccompanied minors’ living in France, Zemmour argued that “Each foreign minor costs us €50,000… They are thieves, they are murderers, they are rapists, and that’s all they do.”

The NGO SOS Racisme, the International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism, and the Loire-Atlantique Department have also filed parallel complaints against Zemmour – a Jew of Algerian origin himself – for his comments.

Earlier this month, Zemmour again made waves when he asserted that not only do unaccompanied migrant minors in France cost the state vast sums of money, but they’re also a major source of crime and delinquency, Remix News reported.

“Among the these minors, some 40,000 to 50,000 a year cost us [in France] billions [of euros], and feature an enormous delinquency. I never said they are all delinquents, all I said was that a great many of them are,” Zemmour said while speaking on the French news channel CNews.

The French government has grown increasingly alarmed over Zemmour and his growing popularity in France. His shows break ratings records. For example, his appearance on CNews drew a record of 600,000 viewers on Oct. 5, up from the 80,000 viewers the show was receiving a year before. The Élysée is reportedly worried that Zemmour may be a threat to President Emmanuel Macron’s reelection bid, with polls showing that his main contender, Marine Le Pen, will likely fare better in the next election in 2022. 

Zemmour, perhaps France’s most eminent public right-wing intellectual, has been a vocal critic against mass migration from the third-world into Europe for years. Late last month, Zemmour, while speaking on CNews, asserted that mass migration into Europe should be regarded as nothing less than population replacement, a crime against the European peoples, and warned that it would end in bloodshed, Remix News reported.

“Immigration changes the makeup of a people. It is a crime against the European peoples, it will end in bloodshed,” Zemmour said.

The French intellectual’s polemic speeches have made him a target, not just of the French government, but also migrants. Last spring, video surfaced on social media which showed a man who appeared to be Middle Eastern or North African threatening Zemmour with violence as he walked alone on the streets of Paris. The young man, who filmed himself accosting Zemmour, also claimed to have spat on the journalist, Remix News reported.

On Saturday, at the invitation of the AfD, the Second Free Media Conference took place in the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus of the German Bundestag. The former mainstream journalist Matthias Matussek (who has written for Spiegel, Welt and Stern) gave a lecture there on the topic of “Critics on the sidelines – the ‘quality media’ are losing their bright minds”.

Matussek’s articles were no longer published by the mainstream because of his focus on the family, nation and faith. He now works for Tichy’s Enblick, the Deutschland-Kurier, Tumult and the Swiss Welt Woche instead. His says this has given him a feeling of freedom, as he can finally write about what moves him deeply and what he considers to be very important for Germany.

PI-NEWS conducted an interview with the experienced journalist at the conference, in which he addresses the pressures of political correctness that everyone who works in the mainstream media is exposed to. This is why the free media are becoming increasingly important, he pointed out.

This quarter-hour interview provided some insights from an unconventional freethinker into the severe restrictions he encountered in the mainstream media.

Matussek said he could not understand why Chancellor Merkel completely changed her convinctions. She was still patriotic and conservative in the early 2000s. He also disapproved of the blockade being put into place by the old parties, probably in a bid not to grant the largest opposition party in the Bundestag the post of Bundestag Vice-President.

Personalities which have shown complete integrity such as the exemplary lawyer and mother of three Mariana Harder-Kühnel was turned down. He said the position was given instead to the obese and barely literate Green Party politician Claudia Roth who rushes proceedings simply because she wants to go and stuff her face with food.

Matussek recounted how a Spiegel journalists tore a German flag out of his hand during the 2006 World Cup euphoria, although the then Spiegel publisher Rudolf Augstein was himself a patriot.

According to him, his wife who is from the former East Germany said that under the DDR, everyone knew that an honest opinion was never expressed in public. The real issues were discussed at home behind closed doors only, for fear of reprisals. Today she says the DDR is back again: Everyone is too scared to say what they really think.

The former head of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) Gerhard Schindler has meanwhile outlined Merkel’s huge mistake in dealing with the migrant crisis in 2015. The statement by Merkel “We can do it” was a pull factor, motivating many migrants to come to Germany, he argued.

In Schindler’s view, a “timely signal to the countries of origin” would have been important. Closing the border with Austria would have shown, for example, “that Germany is not the promised land and that not everyone can be welcome here because this is simply not possible,” explained the former BND head.

But the signal failed to appear “for fear of unpleasant TV pictures at the German borders”.

His counterparts from all over the world were appalled by the German approach. With Merkel’s decision, those responsible in the federal government isolated Europe and divided Germany within a very short time.

This “mass immigration and division of society” are fatal for internal security. Foreigners are overrepresented in the crime statistics. “The reports about the everyday crime of Arab clans in our big cities are gradually decreasing acceptance of immigration, act by act,” warned Schindler.

He added that registering all migrants when they enter Germany was an insufficient measure. Among the newcomers there could still be “criminals, extremists or torturers without our being able to recognize them due to a lack of matching options,” warned the former BND chief.

He advocated less immigration and a “consistent deportation of rejected and criminal asylum seekers”. The corresponding numbers are currently “regrettably low”. Some federal states are not willing to deport migrants, said Schindler.

In March, as Covid-19 began spreading in the United States, the investment firm, StartUp Health, unveiled a new coronavirus initiative soliciting pitches from entrepreneurs with products that addressed the outbreak.

The next month, reports in Bloomberg and the New York Times listed Krein among those participating in daily calls to brief Biden on health policy during the pandemic, while StartUp Health announced its intention to invest $1 million across 10 startups with coronavirus applications within 30 days.

Lots of money to be made here. If Biden wins, we’re talking astronomical figures.

Israel’s embassy in Berlin on Friday accused a Berlin arts college of stoking antisemitism against the Jewish state by supporting a program titled “School for Unlearning Zionism” that denies the existence of the State of Israel.The embassy wrote in a series of three tweets that the Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin’s “hosting a workshop whose title already negates Israel’s existence is an embrace of antisemitism.”

The tweet continued that “The IHRA [The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance] working definition for antisemitism adopted by the [German] federal government cites as an example the denial of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination. This series of events falls under this definition and should be recognized for what it is: anti-Zionist and antisemitic.”The embassy added that  “There should be no tolerance for the delegitimization of Israel and antisemitism in Germany today.”
The anti-Israel project at the Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin was organized by activists affiliated with the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign targeting Israel. The Bundestag passed a resolution last year labeling BDS an antisemitic movement that has parallels with the Nazi movement’s “Don’t buy from Jews!” program during the 1930s.The Academy of Art scrubbed the allegedly antisemitic program “School for Unlearning Zionism” from its website over the weekend.The Berliner Zeitung reported on Sunday that “funding for the program was withdrawn from the organizers.”The Jerusalem Post located one ostensibly anti-Israel program from the academy’s 2017-2018 semester titled: “Things that never happened in the green house of Sheikh Ali’s family.” The course entry reads, “The Palestinian War, or Israeli War of Independence of 1948, drove 700,000 Palestinians from their homeland and led to a refugee crisis that has not yet been resolved. Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin, which was founded in 1946, receives public funding.Three German MPs have appeared to defy the anti-BDS Bundestag resolution.
