Germany: Man attacked and injured with a knife by Syrians

Last Friday night a man was seriously injured with a knife at Neu-Anspach station. The 25-year-old man is said to have arrived at Anspach station by train from Frankfurt around 00:25 a.m., where he was attacked by several men for unknown reasons. According to previous findings, one of the attackers fired a shot into the air. Investigations by the criminal investigation department still have to be made as of what was fired. Later one of the perpetrators injured the 25-year-old with a knife. The injured man was taken to a hospital and is out of danger.The police also used a helicopter during the immediately initiated search. As part of the search, a suspect was arrested in Anspach. The suspect is a 23-year-old man with Syrian citizenship. The investigations into the other persons involved in the crime as well as the background are being carried out by the criminal investigation department in Bad Homburg. Witnesses and whistleblowers are requested by calling (06172) 120 – 0.
