Yesterday, the alleged perpetrator (37 years old) was temporarily arrested after a murder of a 36-year-old German woman. He will be brought before the magistrate today.According to the current state of the investigation, the suspect from Lebanon with the later victim the day before yesterday was alone in a restaurant in the Hamburg district of Neugraben-Fischbek. After the two had celebrated there together, it apparently came to a quarrel and a physical argument, in the course of which the 36-year-old woman died by force. The man is said to have taken the body away from the scene of the crime for fear of discovery. Employees of the restaurant later contacted the police and reported that they had found traces of blood in the restaurant. The homicide department (LKA 41) took over the further investigations and assumed a homicide based on the evidence. In the course of the investigation, the officers found the 37-year-old man, who they then temporarily arrested in Buxtehude. From the investigators’ point of view, the man is considered an urgent suspect.He was therefore referred to a magistrate following the police measures.The body was found by the police in a bush near the scene of the crime and then brought to the Institute of Forensic Medicine. Further investigations, in particular into the cause of death, are ongoing.
