On Monday evening, a patrol of the federal police arrested a 21-year-old Afghan citizen who had insulted and assaulted a 53-year-old train attendant at Limburg station. Around 6.45 p.m., the man pushed the train attendant to the side in order to get on the train ready for departure with his bicycle. The train attendant suffered several abrasions. When the railway employee confronted him, he insulted her and told her that she had no right to speak to him as a woman. As he was not in possession of a valid ticket and refused to leave the train, the train attendant informed the Federal Police. A police patrol brought the man off the train a little later. After having ascertained his personal details and initiated an investigation for bodily injury and insult, the man was released again.
