Federal police officers arrested a 23-year-old man last Saturday morning at about 01:30 a.m. in the suburban train area of Stuttgart Central Station. The Nigerian citizen is suspected of having previously verbally harassed several passengers on the platform and grabbed a 17-year-old girl by her thighs, buttocks and chest. The minor then escaped to a fast-food restaurant at the main station and told uninvolved persons about the incident who called the police. Alarmed officers of the Federal Police temporarily arrested the suspect, who was drunk with about 2.2 per mille, and took him to the police station.There he remained in custody until sobering up. The 23-year-old, who lives in the Rems-Murr district, must now expect criminal proceedings for sexual harassment.
