One person is dead and at least two more wounded following a terrorist attack in London Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Streatham High Street Sunday afternoon when, according to eyewitnesses, several people were stabbed and at least one person shot.
Police later said that the incident was “terror-related”, adding that the person who had been shot was wounded by officers, and appears to be the suspect.
“The circumstances are being assessed; the incident has been declared as terrorist-related,” London Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The other wounded were stabbed, though police declined to list the number of victims.
Witnesses said that ambulances and helicopters had been dispatched to the scene of the stabbing.
“I was walking to the shops and saw helicopters came down, and lots of ambulances,” said Alanah Murphy, according to the BBC.
“I didn’t see what happened but just the aftermath – loads of armed police and like nine, 10 ambulances. The police were screaming at people to get back.”
Another witness claimed that the terrorist stabbed a female cyclist and a second victim, before being shot and neutralized.
A German gay man has explained why he turned to the far-right political party, Alternative for Germany (AfD), after he was brutally attacked by ‘Muslim extremists’.
Karsten, 55, from Bremen, met former shadow secretary Ed Balls for his new documentary series, ‘Travels in Euroland’ which airs on BBC2 tonight at 9pm, and explained that despite the populist party’s anti-same-sex marriage policies, he chose to vote for them in 2017.
The taxi driver had always voted for the country’s left wing green political party, Alliance 90/The Greens, however was swayed after he and his partner Sven were brutally attacked, leaving Karsten with six plates and 17 screws in his head.
He told how the attack, from two men who soon fled to Syria, left him believing his partner was dead, and said the AfD were the only political group to reply to him after he contacted them about the incident. Driving in his car, Karsten explained to the former Labour MP how while he doesn’t take issue with the town’s increasing refugee population, he fears a potential increase in crime against him as a gay man.
‘They attacked me and my partner. We were at the store and they probably knew we were together because two of them lived across the street from us.
‘Then my partner left the store and that’s all he remembers and then they started beating him up and kicking him in the head. ‘I found out and tried to help him, but then there was another one and it was dark outside and there was another one and they hit me with something from the side.’
Karsten went on to explain: ‘I wrote to all the parties, I wrote to our senator. I wrote an email to the AfD and they promised to help us and they invited us to a meeting.’
When asked what they were looking for in the party, he went on: ‘The AfD said they would take care of the borders, try to get criminals out of here as fast as they can trying to get them arrested.

According to press reports, Amazon is now increasingly delivering its parcels itself. We have also received three parcels from Amazon deliverers in the last few weeks. The first parcel was delivered by a presumed Turk, the second parcel by a Polish woman and the third parcel by a “refugee”. Two vehicles (rental cars) were sent here at once. In the first car, the deliverer (refugee) and in the second car a German man. Probably the “refugee” should be trained. It took a full 20 minutes until the “refugee” found the delivery in the vehicle, which would probably have taken even longer without the help of the German. The German driver also looked quite annoyed, because the delivery was at 7:30 pm, when most of the parcel deliverers are long gone home.

Forum for Democracy, a conservative anti-immigration Dutch party founded by Thierry Baudet, now has more members than any other party in the Netherlands.
FvD is the political party with the highest number of members according to figures from the Documentation Center for Dutch Political Parties (DNPP), which publishes the numbers annually. The is the first time that FvD has had the greatest number of members of all the parties. In total there are 42 794, which is over 3 000 more than the CDA [Christian Democrats].
Gerrit Voerman from the DNPP calls it a unique development, because the party of Thierry Baudet has been in existence for only three short years. Last year 12 000 members joined Forum. In March the party won the elections in the provincial states, but there was also an internal fight which led to a split in the First Chamber (Senate) under the leadership of co-founder Henk Otten. In December, Baudet announced that (FvD) was the largest party in the Netherlands.
In recent years Forum has made a concerted effort to recruit new members. Thus, at the end of last year, the party launched a campaign in which mostly VVD members were called on to switch to the Baudet party. “The number of members is important for Forum because of the charisma of the party; they can now say they are the largest party,” says the political commentator Xander van der Wulp. “It is really an achievement that they have collected those members in such a short time, as the number with other parties is falling.”
A greater number of members also ensures a higher government subsidy. The subsidy consists of a general share that is for all parties, and a special share. The largest proportion of the special share (80 percent) is based on the number of Parliamentary seats, the other 20 percent on the number of members.
The second largest party is the PvdA with more than 41 000 members, followed by the CDA with 39 000. Last year the two parties lost members, outdistanced by the Forum. The number of members for the CDA went down more than 9 percent and the PvdA by 3 percent. The greatest number of defections was from the SP; the party lost 12 percent of its members. The VVD, the biggest party in the Tweede Kamer (Lower House), is in ninth place.
Other parties that grew are the Party for Animals and Green-Left. The Christian Union and Denk remain stable. In total there are more than 300 000 people who are members of a political party represented in the Tweede Kamer.

Are there any connections between the climate movement “Fridays for Future” and the Green Party, between alleged paedophiles in the FFF and a paedophile member of the German Parliament in the Hamburg Social Democratic Party (SPD)? And if so, which ones? Or are the (still) implied serious accusations of the left-wing candidate for parliament, Tom Radtke, only the revenge and fantasies of a disappointed and crazy 18-year-old student? The police are investigating. There is no doubt: by posting his tweets, Radtke has placed a serious problem on the left wing of the Hamburg parliament as well as on the FFF and the Hamburg SPD. Radtke is a founding member of the FFF-Hamburg and knows the subject like no one else.He has accused Greta Thunberg’s movement of having occupied central Hamburg FFF Internet account jobs with members of the Green Party and hinted that he might also reveal something – probably unpleasant – about the German FFF main organizer Luisa Neubauer. His accusation that the FFF Hamburg has “dirty secrets” such as “the paedophiles at FFF Hamburg” and a particular paedophile at the SPD is particularly serious: “The Hamburg member of parliament should watch out, otherwise he will end up like his former colleague Edathy. I know the names of some of his victims,” Radtke tweets.Child pornographic photos were found on the computer of SPD politician Edathy. In contrast to the Islam critic and ex-minister Thilo Sarrazin, who was expelled from the SPD because of his publications critical of migration, the pedophile Edathy may remain a member of the SPD.
