Coronavirus: ‘Berlin has not yet taken a single measure’

While Italy has imposed a quasi-quarantine on over 16 million people, the German government’s strategy in the Corona crisis is based on advancing the narrative that there is only one choice between hysteria and doing nothing. A solution which shows leadership and prevention seems impossible.

So far there is nothing to suggest that the epidemic in Germany will be different the one in Italy, argues Marco Gallina, author of an opinion piece in Berlin weekly Junge Freiheit. On the contrary. The graphs are the same – with a delay of nine to ten days.

In Italy, the number of Corona cases broke the 1 000 mark on February 29. In Germany, the number of new infections in the comparison period is sometimes even higher. Today Italy has over 7 000 cases with 366 deaths and over 1 000 newly infected. From Saturday to Sunday alone, 133 patients died. The German scenario could look very similar within a week.

While German Health Minister Jens Spahn has repeatedly emphasized the protection of the population, he has basically not yet taken a single measure that is remotely related to the Italian, Chinese or South Korean solution.

The chronology of events makes February 23 the “Day X” in the fight against the virus. It was on that day that the Italian government sealed off 50 000 of its citizens from the outside world in two “red zones”. Schools and universities, museums and other cultural institutions were closed regionally. Churches closed their masses, bars closed in the evening and the stock market collapsed the next day, while air traffic was reduced by double-digit percentages.

The German “Day X” falls on March 3 (188 cases). German government measures: almost nothing. While Italy responded maximally to the threat to its own citizens, the German Minister has issued only “recommendations”.

On March 7, the head of a health insurance company Andreas Gassen told the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung: “With a few hundred infected people in Germany, nationwide school closings would be a hysterical overreaction.” And: “We can’t shut down public life.”

Gassen had obviously not noticed that the number of cases in Germany had already clearly exceeded the limit of what had caused Italy to act.

As of Sunday until April 3, Italy has de facto cordoned off the most important centers in northern Italy. The transit was limited to the bare minimum, and public life has almost come to a standstill. Nationwide, schools and cultural institutions were closed for two weeks.

These are “hysterical measures” from a German perspective, although the situation in Germany is similar to the Italian equivalent of a week ago.

VIDEO: Fighting-age male migrants at Greek border say they want to go to Germany where there is free money

Below you will see a video which clearly depicts economic migrants, most of whom are fighting-age males, who are not Syrian’s fleeing war, but who are migrants from various countries throughout the Middle East and Africa who say themselves that they are looking to travel to Germany because the state will provide them with free food, shelter, and money.

Professor Johnny Williams Doubles Down on Antiwhite Racism

College education is more expensive than ever before, forcing students into decades of debt to pay for the modern equivalent of a high school diploma. But at least they are learning things that students never did before. For example, at Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut, sociology professor Johnny Williams teaches that whiteness is “mental and physical terrorism” and that calls for civility only serve to “uphold white supremacist heteropatriarchal capitalist power.”

Pushing the envelope of antiwhite racism even by college standards has gotten the nutty professor in a little trouble — but not much trouble, so he is doubling down:

In an end-of-February op-ed in the Hartford Courant, Williams says white people preside over an “oppressive system,” and when people of color “refuse to abide” by this system, they’re accused of “inciting hatred and violence.”

He is referring to the controversy he created with a piece he wrote in the aftermath of Steve Scalise getting shot by a Bernie Bro; Williams used the hashtag “#LetThemF***ingDie” and denounced Caucasians as “inhuman ***holes.”

Too bad a white professor would never say something that outrageously awful about blacks. It would knock coronavirus out of the news, putting an end to the dangerous panic.

The professor was suspended for his comments, but cleared of wrongdoingshortly thereafter.

If educrats can clear Michael Mann of wrongdoing, they can do it for anyone — anyone on the left, that is.

He’s since gone on to say calls for “civility” merely serve to “uphold white supremacist heteropatriarchal capitalist power” …

Fortunately, we don’t have to pay Trinity’s annual $56,380 undergraduate tuition to become enlightened by Professor Williams’ wisdom. We can just read what he writes in the Hartford Courant:

Whiteness is a shared conglomeration of fabricated meanings and ideas about biologically insignificant human differences. Whiteness only exists in relation or opposition to blackness and other fictitious racial categories created by whiteness adherents for the purpose of cementing a higher status and material advantage over other people that are excluded from being white.

Part of the problem is individualism:

People immersed in individualism claim innocence or refuse to consider how the cultural environment of white supremacy we inhabit shapes our racial identities and world views and further informs how we perceive and interact with others within a hierarchical racial order.

Cultural Marxists are heavily into hierarchical racial orders. Bizarrely, those who don’t share this obsession are denounced as “racists.”

Whiteness by its very definition and operation as a key element of white supremacy kills; it is mental and physical terrorism.

Therefore, it is critical that whiteness be destroyed. That’s why sociology professors get the big bucks, especially when they chair the department like Williams.

Germany to accept up to 1,500 migrant minors despite concerns

Germany will accept between 1,000 to 1,500 children and teenagers from overcrowded refugee camps in Greece despite previous studies that have shown many “child migrants” are in fact adults.

According to the German Press Agency (DPA), the German government made the decision on Monday. Thus, some children who are ill or unaccompanied and less than 14 years old, will probably be able to leave the Greek migration centers.

At the European level, there is currently a debate on establishing a coalition of countries willing to admit children from the overcrowded refugee camps in Greece.

“Within this framework, Germany is ready to accept its fair share,” the government coalition of Christian Democrats (CDU and CSU) along with Social Democrats (SPD) said after a multi-hour crisis session that ended after midnight on Sunday.

Last September, Greece called on the EU Member States to take on unaccompanied child migrants who live in poor conditions in refugee camps.

There have been concerns in the past that migrants have lied about their age in order to facilitate entry into Europe. For example, an incredible 84 percent of “child migrants” who were tested by Swedish government were actually adults aged 18 or older, according to a report from the BBC.

Many migrants arrive in camps without any documentation about their identity, allowing them to obscure their age and country of origin.

A number of German politicians have voiced concern over accepting migrants, including within the CDU.

The CDU’s executive director, Michael Grosse-Brömer, criticized previous calls for Germany to admit 5,000 child refugees, saying, “If we admit 5,000, an additional 50,000 will make their way. Don’t raise false hopes!”

The German government has also discussed the situation in the Syrian province of Idlib, which is struggling with the conflict between President Bashar Assad’s regime and Turkey-supported rebels.

Berlin decided to earmark €125 million for urgent humanitarian aid in the region.

Greece accuses Turkey of destroying border fence, aiding migrants

With tens of thousands of migrants amassed on the Turkish-Greek border, Greece is now accusing its eastern neighbor of not only encouraging migrants from the Middle East to breach the border, but helping them to do so, according to a report from Magyar Nemzet.

On Sunday, the Greek government published a night vision video showing a Turkish Hizir 4×4 tactical armored vehicle tearing down a portion of the Greek border fence last night, allowing illegal immigrants to invade Greece.

Turkey received the vehicles last year in a program with 75 percent European Union funding, which shows that the EU’s own equipment provided to Turkey is now being used to violate its own external.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis says the EU-Turkey migration deal is dead. In an interview with CNN, he said Turkey has “decided to completely violate the agreement because of what happened in Syria”.

“What we’re dealing with is not really a migration or refugee problem,” Mitsotakis said in the CNN interview. “It’s a conscious attempt by Turkey to use migrants and refugees as geopolitical pawns to promote its own interest.”

Additionally, Mitsotakis also accused Turkey of spreading false news about the events at the border and pointed out that those who are crossing are not Syrians fleeing as a result of the violence in Idlib.

A report from Reuters offers strong evidence in support of Mitsotakis, which indicates that the vast majority of migrants at the Greek-Turkish borders are not from countries that are considered unsafe.

According to Reuters, Afghans and Pakistanis vastly outnumber Syrians who fled the country over its civil war, and migrants interviewed that the border even said that many migrants are actually seeking to enter Europe for economic reasons and pretending to be Syrian refugees to do it.

“It makes me angry when I meet people from Morocco, Pakistan and even Afghanistan,” 20-year-old Yehya Rais from Aleppo told Reuters. “If only two to three thousand Syrians were here, maybe Greece would open the border. They know we are genuine refugees.”

Mitsotakis defended Greece’s actions, saying that his country is merely defending its sovereign borders.

The Greek prime minister accused Turkey of encouraging people to cross to Greece illegally and said “Europe is not going to be blackmailed,” a fact Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will have to recognize.

Most Greeks support Greece’s tough border stance, with a poll indicating that 76 percent of Greekssupport the conservative government’s response to the border crisis, according to Prome Thema.

Three Italian Inmates Die During Prison Riot over Coronavirus, Officers Taken Hostage and Beaten

Three inmates died during a riot that broke out over the coronavirus at a prison in Modena, Italy, on Sunday afternoon. In Pavia, Italy, two prison guards were taken hostage and beaten during a separate revolt at another prison.

Italian prisoners angered over visitation limits due to Italy’s new rules regarding the coronavirus — as well as fear of what is transpiring on the outside due to the virus, and the fear of possibly becoming infected — have resulted in prison riots, according to a report by La Repubblica.

The report added that three prisoners were left dead at Modena prison on Sunday afternoon, while two prison guards at a penitentiary in Pavia, Italy, were taken hostage and beaten by inmates during a very intense riot in which prisoners had stolen cell keys from guards and freed dozens of fellow inmates.

Protests also occurred at prisons in Salerno, Naples, Frosinone, Vercelli, Alessandria, Palermo, Bari, and Foggia.

In Modena, a cloud of thick black smoke could be seen rising from the prison, as inmates had ignited a fire in an attempt to escape, reports Il Resto del Carlino. Meanwhile, agents in riot gear were deployed while a police helicopter flew overhead.

Outside the Neapolitan prison of Poggioreale, relatives of the prisoners blocked traffic in protest, as they asked for pardon, amnesty, or house arrest for their inmates.

A video of the incident was tweeted out by Italian senator and former deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini on Sunday.

“Very serious situation,” said Salvini, who leads the right-populist League. “It is necessary to contain the escalation by giving emergency powers to the department commanders.”

Meanwhile, inmates inside the prison protested by barricading themselves as they called for measures to be taken to prevent their risk of becoming infected with the coronavirus. Two officers suffered minor injuries during the incident.

In a similar situation at a prison in Bari, a group of prisoners’ relatives reportedly protested the provisions being taken to deal with the coronavirus, which includes limitations on visits with prisoners, according to La Repubblica.

While the prisoners’ relatives — roughly 30 women — protested outside, inmates set fire to handkerchiefs that they waved between the bars of the windows.

As prison riots spring up throughout Italy, the nation has surpassed South Korea in confirmed coronavirus cases, making Italy the most heavily infected country in the world after China.

As of Sunday, the total confirmed cases of Chinese coronavirus have risen from 5,883 to 7,375, with the death toll surging 57 per cent in just 24 hours.

My Italy is at war with coronavirus

By Giulio Meotti

We are at this point, we have to decide who will live and who will die, who will be cured and who will not. The doctors of the Italian Society of Anaesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care (Siaarti) have written in a document that, in the face of the current epidemic and in the event of further worsening, the sacrifice of dozens of people will be inevitable due to their age and fragility.

We read: “It may be necessary to set an age limit when entering the intensive care unit. It is not a question of making purely valuable choices, but of reserving resources that may be very scarce for those who are more likely to survive and secondly for those who may have more years of life saved, with a view to maximizing the benefits for the greatest number of people”.

Read these words again. Then read them again. And do it again. And you will understand the potential tragedy Italy is facing. Civilization is regressing.

Two days ago, the bulletin confirmed the most tragic event since the beginning of this national delirium due to coronavirus, because in one day, 1,247 people were infected, making a total of 5,883.

That’s 233 dead. Another 567 people are in intensive care, 1,843 in isolation.

But perhaps the most tragic fact is that Lombardy (the region with the best health care in Italy and now under quarantine) is saturated and will begin to send its sick to other regions. “In the absence of timely and adequate provisions by the Authorities we will be forced to face an event that we can only qualify as a catastrophic health disaster.” This is written by the Coordination of Intensive Therapies of Lombardy.

We have made unforgivable mistakes and one day we will be judged for them: not having checked for the virus and closed the gates as much as we could when it was possible, to find ourselves today in the situation other European countries are in, having turned “the worst epidemic of the century” (quoting Bibi Netanyahu) into a democratic and racist threat and more.

Italy whistled, hummed and smiled, instead of building a basis for public opinion that is then ready if and when the threat knocks on the door.

This epidemic has detonated all of Italy’s weaknesses, as if we were a soggy tree, as if everything that is “public” has failed and is now overwhelming the private economic fabric that has always kept us alive and functioning in the north.

In these hours, the families, this foundational institution of mankind, mistreated, ignored, denigrated and harassed by decades of malapolitics and leftist ideology, are explaining to their own, I to my children, my friends to their children, why they cannot go to school.

A country that observes its own decay. They’ve left us exposed. They didn’t protect us. The health care workers, doctors, paramedics are doing a decisive job and getting sick themselves in droves.

We’re in full physical decay, too. I can just hope and pray this will pass soon. Or hundreds of Italians will die and there will be no country to rebuild.
