Dutch teenager stabbed to death by migrant for no reason

The 25-year-old man in custody for the stabbing death of Rik van de Rakt (18) from Heesch this weekend in Oss is an asylum-seeker from Sudan.

The suspect is an asylum status-holder and lives in Heesch in the Netherlands. It is the second refugee arrested this year in the province of Brabant for a fatal crime.

The police confirmed the background of the suspect after an inquiry by Dutch daily De Telegraaf to the community of Bernheze, under which Heesch falls. “Today a search took place in his residence in Heesch. The investigation is still in full progress, and we are still looking for witnesses, especially the cyclist who was riding over the Hescheweg in Heesch on Sunday. The suspect will be brought before the examining magistrate tomorrow,” said a spokesperson from the East Brabant police.

In the village there is a lot of anger and sadness over the murder of the teenager who, as it now seems, was attacked and stabbed to death for no reason. It quickly became known in Heesch that the suspect was the 25-year-old migrant. He had previously caused a nuisance in the village and is known to the police. It was made public on Monday that the suspect was arrested in a confused state shortly after the murder.

In spite of the enormous impact of the deadly stabbing and multiple attempts by De Telegraaf, Mayor Mariecke Moorman refused to comment on the incident on Tuesday.

Teenager Rik van de Rakt was found dead Sunday morning next to his bike in Oss at the intersection of Julianasingel and Dr Saal van Zwanenbergsingel in Oss. It later turned out that he was stabbed to death.

As it appears from camera photos, the perpetrator also tried to stab a woman. But she was able to escape the attacker. The police are still looking for witnesses to both attacks. The police say a terrorist motive is not yet ruled out. “There are no indications in that direction. However, at this stage, we are keeping all scenarios open,” said a spokesperson from East Brabant police.

He called his stepfather, Mario, and screamed for help,” a friend of Rik’s told De Telegraaf. For the grandparents, it is still a big mystery exactly what happened on Sunday morning.

Four years ago, Heesch was turned upside down by large protests against the arrival of an asylum seekers’ center. Dead pigs were placed in a tree and eggs thrown against the windows of the town hall. The mobile squad had to intervene against protesters. The center was not opened.

The Sudanese is the second refugee in custody in Brabant on suspicion of murder. Last month police arrested a resident of the asylum seekers’ center in Echt for the murder of the 56-year-old Dutch man, Frank Schrijen, from Boxmeer (a major figure in the carnival world). The suspect is from Trinidad and Tobago.

The lawyer for the Sudanese suspect in the stabbing in Oss has not yet responded to requests for comments. De Telegraaf does not know the person is yet.

Cuomo to Heart Attack Patients: Drop Dead, Stay Dead

The Democrats are turning the Chinese Virus into their 9/11 and they can’t wait to wield unlimited power over who lives and dies.

Here’s what Cuomo’s administration is up to between his self-serving press conferences and CNN appearances.

New York state just issued a drastic new guideline urging emergency services workers not to bother trying to revive anyone without a pulse when they get to a scene, amid an overload of coronavirus patients.

While paramedics were previously told to spend up to 20 minutes trying to revive people found in cardiac arrest, the change is “necessary during the COVID-19 response to protect the health and safety of EMS providers by limiting their exposure, conserve resources, and ensure optimal use of equipment to save the greatest number of lives,’’ according to a state Health Department memo issued last week.

First responders were outraged over the move.

“They’re not giving people a second chance to live anymore,’’ Oren Barzilay, head of the city union whose members include uniformed EMTs and paramedics, fumed of state officials.

“Our job is to bring patients back to life. This guideline takes that away from us,” he said.

Earlier this month, the Regional Emergency Services Council of New York, which oversees the city’s ambulance service, issued a new guideline that said cardiac-arrest patients whose hearts can’t be restarted at the scene should no longer be taken to the hospital for further life-saving attempts.

If you’ve had a heart attack, die and stay dead.

After all the attention, they’re partially pulling back from the mandatory euthanasia guidelines.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker “rescinded” the “do-not-resuscitate” order put out by his Bureau of Emergency Medical Service on Wednesday — just hours after The Post exclusively reported on it.

“This guidance, proposed by physician leaders of the EMS Regional Medical Control Systems and the State Advisory Council — in accordance with American Heart Association guidance and based on standards recommended by the American College of Emergency Physicians and adopted in multiple other states — was issued April 17, 2020 at the recommendation of the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and reflected ‎nationally recognized minimum standards,” the Health Department said in a statement.

“However,” it added, “they don’t reflect New York’s standards and for that reason DOH Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker has ordered them to be rescinded.”

“It was a bunch of other guys that did it. Not us. We’re not responsible. Also we don’t stand behind it anymore. But wait a week and we’ll sneak it back in anyway.”

Communist China’s Coronavirus Disinformation Campaign May Be Bigger Than We Realized

report in the New York Times today expanded on the scope of the massive disinformation campaign China has created over the COVID-19 pandemic it caused. The report partly reveals the massive nature of the coronavirus campaign by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to take the offensive against the US government. A global propaganda war is underway, with China reportedly adopting many of the tactics employed by Russian disinformation agents over the past several years.

The NYT report begins:

WASHINGTON — The alarming messages came fast and furious in mid-March, popping up on the cellphone screens and social media feeds of millions of Americans grappling with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Spread the word, the messages said: The Trump administration was about to lock down the entire country.

“They will announce this as soon as they have troops in place to help prevent looters and rioters,” warned one of the messages, which cited a source in the Department of Homeland Security. “He said he got the call last night and was told to pack and be prepared for the call today with his dispatch orders.”

The messages became so widespread over 48 hours that the White House’s National Security Council issued an announcement via Twitterthat they were “FAKE.”They then report, “[t]he amplification techniques are alarming to officials because the disinformation showed up as texts on many Americans’ cellphones, a tactic that several of the officials said they had not seen before.” Several intelligence agencies have since increased their surveillance to analyze new platforms used by China to spread conspiracy theories and divisive rhetoric.

Officials interviewed for the report told the Times that the operatives did not create their own messages, as much as they amplified existing messages. While they utilized social media apps to make messages go viral, they also used encrypted options:

The officials say the Chinese agents also appear to be using texts and encrypted messaging apps as part of their campaigns. It is much harder for researchers and law enforcement officers to track disinformation spread through text messages and encrypted apps than on social media platforms.

Importantly, this campaign appears to go to upper levels of the CCP:

American intelligence officers are also examining whether spies in China’s diplomatic missions in the United States helped spread the fake lockdown messages, a senior American official said. American agencies have recently increased their scrutiny of Chinese diplomats and employees of state-run media organizations. In September, the State Department secretly expelled two employees of the Chinese Embassy in Washington suspected of spying.

Of course, the Times being what it is, they couldn’t help but to present information helpful to the enemy interspersed throughout the article. It takes quite a bit of discipline to filter this information out when reading these types of reports. With cooperation from Media Matters for America, they offered up several bits of analysis sympathetic to the ChiComs in their fight to contain the damage from the Wuhan virus:

Other rival powers might have been involved in the dissemination, too. And Americans with prominent online or news media platforms unknowingly helped amplify the messages. Misinformation has proliferated during the pandemic — in recent weeks, some pro-Trump news outlets have promoted anti-American conspiracy theories, including one that suggests the virus was created in a laboratory in the United States.

American officials said China, borrowing from Russia’s strategies, has been trying to widen political divisions in the United States. As public dissent simmers over lockdown policies in several states, officials worry it will be easy for China and Russia to amplify the partisan disagreements.

“It is part of the playbook of spreading division,” said Senator Angus King, independent of Maine, adding that private individuals have identified some social media bots that helped promote the recent lockdown protests that some fringe conservative groups have nurtured.

Certainly the Russian and Chinese infiltrations into American media and social media have social upheaval and division as their goal. Then again, tying pro-liberty and pro-economy protests to the CCP strains credulity, even for the New York Times. Russia got Trump elected, and now they’re making Americans protest the overreach of tin pot governors exploiting a crisis? Never change, NYT.

Before re-engaging in Trump-bashing, the report briefly returns to facts of the Chinese disinformation campaign:

The propaganda efforts go beyond text messages and social media posts directed at Americans. In China, top officials have issued directives to agencies to engage in a global disinformation campaign around the virus, the American officials said.

Some American intelligence officers are especially concerned about disinformation aimed at Europeans that pro-China actors appear to have helped spread. The messages stress the idea of disunity among European nations during the crisis and praise China’s “donation diplomacy,” American officials said. Left unmentioned are reports of Chinese companies delivering shoddy equipment and European leaders expressing skepticism over China’s handling of its outbreak.

The entire report is worth a read, but note well that the NYT takes great pains to paint China / CCP and America as equal superpowers engaged in a propaganda war. The clear conclusion they wish to elicit from the reader is that the nations are on equal moral footing and are fighting over global dominance, while de-emphasizing the moral deficits of the communists who unleashed the virus on the world.

The CCP has fully engaged in an all-out effort to destabilize the United States, utilizing operatives and sympathetic media and political targets embedded in American society. The more aware we become of their efforts to undermine our nation, the more urgent it becomes to defend ourselves. We should recognize the new Cold War underway against a communist threat, similar to the threat of the USSR that we defeated a generation ago.

South Tyrol: Moroccan spits at supermarket customers in Bolzano

This happens in times of strict hygiene measures and compulsory respiratory masks: a 24-year-old Moroccan spat on customers in a supermarket in Bolzano. A carabinieri patrol went to a supermarket in Bolzano’s Bindergasse street on Tuesday afternoon. Employees wanted to expel a heavily drunk man who had harassed customers of the supermarket. The Moroccan then began to spit on “everybody and everything”, according to the police. When the officers asked the man for his name and his identity card, he attacked them. The officers were able to overpower the 24-year-old and handcuffed him. The 24-year-old does not have a residence permit, there is already a deportation order against him. The Moroccan is charged with resisting the authorities and being drunk in public. He had also defiled other people’s belongings by repeatedly spitting around in the supermarket. According to the Carabinieri a crime that can be prosecuted on criminal charges. The 24-year-old will be taken to prison.

German Jewish Group Slams Festival Invite to Prominent Academic Accused of Antisemitism

One of Germany’s leading cultural festivals was at the center of a row over antisemitism on Tuesday, as a German Jewish organization joined in with earlier demands to cancel the opening address at the event by an academic charged with “antisemitism” and “Holocaust relativization.”

In a letter to the elected leadership of the North-Rhine Westphalia state in western Germany, the Jewish Values Initiative asserted that the invitation to Prof. Achille Mbembe to speak at the renowned Ruhrtriennale festival on Aug. 14 should be revoked.

The group said that Mbembe — a Cameroonian sociologist currently teaching in South Africa — had in his writings made the “antisemitic” equation between the former apartheid regime in South Africa and the Israeli government, endorsed the anti-Zionist campaign to boycott, divest from and sanction the Jewish state, and diminished the Holocaust by bracketing it with the apartheid system.

“As Mbembe accuses Israel of apartheid and compares the former South African apartheid system to the Shoah, this leads to the legitimate assumption that he equates the position of the democratic State of Israel towards the Palestinian Arabs with that of the National Socialists during the Shoah –an antisemitic picture in its purest form,” the letter argued.

The Jewish Values Initiative protest came a few days after Germany’s top federal official dealing with antisemitism called for Mbembe’s appearance at the festival to be nixed.

“Delivering the opening speech to such an important event is a task of responsibility, not least given the fact that the festival is financed with public funds,” Felix Klein — the German government’s antisemitism commissioner — told the WAZ news outlet last Friday. “The person selected should be someone who lives up to this responsibility, not someone who has been criticized in the past for the relativization of the Holocaust.”

Klein said that Mbembe had “questioned Israel’s right to exist and also compared South Africa’s apartheid system to the Holocaust — something that is out of the question in view of the unprecedented crimes during the Nazi era, and especially given Germany’s historical responsibility for it.” He warned that the Ruhrtriennale festival would suffer “considerable damage” if Mbembe’s speech went ahead.

The controversy has stemmed largely from a lengthy essay Mbembe wrote in 2016 titled “The Society of Enmity.” Arguing that the present state of world politics was “characterized by forms of exclusion, hostility, hate movements, and, above all, by the struggle against an enemy,” Mbembe went on to state that “the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories can be seen to serve as a laboratory for a number of techniques of control, surveillance and separation, which today are being increasingly implemented in other places on the planet.”

Later in the same essay, Mbembe argued that the “metaphor of apartheid” — the brutally-enforced segregation of the black-majority population in South Africa for much of the twentieth century — could not “fully account for the specific character of the Israeli separation project.”

Wrote Mbembe: “[G]iven its ‘hi-tech’ character, the effects of the Israeli project on the Palestinian body are much more formidable that the relatively primitive operations undertaken by the apartheid regime in South Africa between 1948 and the early 1980s.”

Mbembe was also criticized for his statement that the “apartheid system in South Africa and the destruction of Jews in Europe — the latter, though, in an extreme fashion and within a quite different setting — constituted two emblematic manifestations of this phantasy of separation.”

In an email on Monday to the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, Mbembe vigorously denied that the charges against him had any validity.

“I am not a member or supporter of BDS or any other organization involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” Mbembe stated, adding: “I don’t believe in a general boycott of Israeli academics.”

Furthermore, he disputed the accusation that he had relativized the Holocaust, saying that he knew of “no serious social scientist who would compare the apartheid system in South Africa with the Holocaust.”

WATCH: Germany on Corona lockdown – Arab clan riots in front of a hospital emergency room

50 to 60 members of the criminal Arab Remmo Clan gathered in front of the emergency room of the Kreuzberg Clinic am Urban in Berlin on Tuesday night. An elderly member of the clan had been admitted there shortly before and had died. It is said to be the mother of clan boss Issa Remmo. On the way to the hospital, two other clan members are said to have speeded through a speed check by the police – one of the officers on site was apparently only able to save himself by jumping to the side. The police then apparently started a chase after the two cars. One of the two drivers allegedly escaped in his Porsche car. Another driver is said to have been arrested near the hospital after a collision of his VW car with a police car. Meanwhile, several police officers were presumably busy in front of the Urban Clinic to calm down the clan members and to make sure that the Corona distance rules were observed.

Immigrants in Germany revolt against Corona measures

The German city of Hagen has placed two immigrant social housing complexes with Corona cases under constant police surveillance. The around 60 residents may no longer leave the property on the orders of the municipal health authority.

In the houses, three people had previously tested positive for the Coronavirus, the regional daily Westfalenpost reported . “To prevent these illegal trips, the regulatory office ordered two guards on Friday to check the curfew on the houses,” said the city.

The houses are located in the Wehringhausen district, a district where the proportion of immigrants is more than 50 percent. According to a local news portal, the majority of the residents are Romanians.

“The district borders the station area. Our patrols go there more often, especially because there are more physical clashes and drug offenses,”  a police spokesman told Focus Online. “The proportion of migrants in this area is indeed well above average.”

In Berlin, criminal clan members were targets of a police operation in a hospital in the Kreuzberg district. After a woman from the extended family died in the clinic on Tuesday night, up to 60 relatives gathered there, the Berliner Morgenpost reported .

Police officers said they only had to ensure Corona safety distances. No arrests were made despite dangerous traffic offences that were also committed.

The Berlin spokesman for the police union, Benjamin Jendro, commented on the incidents: “With all understanding for the painful loss of a loved one – in our country there are laws that all people have to abide by. Anyone who hinders emergency services at work risks human lives. Anyone who eludes traffic control and is not afraid to kill someone is committing an attempted murder.”

Such acts is “exactly the wrong tolerance that brought us to today’s problems with Arab clans in organized crime” Jendro added.

In November 2018, the Berlin authorities had adopted a five-point plan to combat clan crime in the capital.

Coronavirus: The West’s 9/11 Moment

The coronavirus pandemic is a 9/11 moment. Al Qaida had been at war with the West for years before the destruction of the twin towers. But it took that barbarism to galvanise its largely supine prey into action.

Now we have Covid-19. Unlike 9/11 we have seen no evidence so far that China deliberately unleashed this virus on the world. There is certainly evidence, however, that it resulted from the policies of the Chinese Communist Party and that Beijing’s habitually duplicitous and criminally irresponsible actions allowed it to spread around the globe, leading to tens of thousands of deaths that could have been avoided.

Commentators and politicians today worry that the current situation might trigger a new cold war with China. They fail to understand that, in a similar but much more far-reaching pattern to the jihadist conflict, China has been fighting a cold war against the West for decades, while we have refused to recognise what is going on. The reality, in Beijing’s book, is that the cold war between China and the West, which began with the communist seizure of China in 1949, never ended. Despite the Sino-Soviet split and subsequent US-China rapprochement in the early 1970s, for the Chinese leadership the US was still the implacable enemy.

Like 9/11, Covid-19 must now force the West to wake up and fight back.

China today is by far the greatest threat to Western values, freedom, economy, industry, communications and technology. It threatens our very way of life. China’s objective is to push back against the US and become the dominant world power by 2049, a century after the creation of the People’s Republic. Dictator for life Xi Jinping has no intention of doing this through military conflict. His war is not fought on the battlefield but in the boardroom, the markets, the press, universities, cyberspace and in the darkest shadows.

Those who argue China’s right to compete with the West in free markets and on a level playing field seem not to comprehend that Beijing has no free market and no intention of playing on a level field. The world’s leading executioner, China is an incomparably ruthless dictatorship that tortures, disappears and imprisons its people at will and controls its massive population through a techno-surveillance infrastructure that it’s busy exporting around the world to extend its political and economic control to us.

For decades, China has been working on its three-pronged strategy: building its economy and fighting capability, including intelligence, technology, cyber and space as well as hard military power; developing global influence to exploit resources and secure control; thrusting back and dividing the US and its capitalist allies.

China has built its economy on Western money and at Western expense, by industrial-scale theft of intellectual property and technology, copyright violation, illicit data mining, cyberwar, deceit, duplicity, enslavement and uncompromising state control of industry and commerce. It continues to expand its already immense influence through a Belt and Road Initiative that marches across the globe; massive investment in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australasia and north and south America; and direct aggression in the Pacific including the South China Sea (where Beijing’s artificial island programme has created one of the greatest ecological disasters in history).

All of this is supported by a multi-million dollar propaganda operation, in President Xi’s words: “to tell China’s story well” — in other words: to advance the ideology of the CCP everywhere. This includes buying support or silence from global media outlets, threats and coercion. Just one high profile example of this influence occurred last year when the US National Basketball Association was forced to make a grovelling public apology after the Houston Rockets’ general manager tweeted in support of pro-democracy campaigners in Hong Kong.

Although military conflict is not China’s preferred strategic instrument, Beijing has not neglected fighting capabilities, spending an estimated $230 billion annually, second only to the US. Xi has been rebuilding his forces on an unprecedented scale, with particular emphasis on a naval war with America. Planned military contingency options also include moves against Taiwan and other territories it intends to control directly. China has also now become the second biggest arms seller in the world, including to countries subject to UN sanctions such as North Korea and Iran. This month, 15 armoured vehicles were delivered to Nigeria, including VT-4 main battle tanks, already in service with the Royal Thai Army and, like most of China’s defence equipment, incorporating technology stolen from the West. China’s arms exports are not motivated primarily by revenue generation, but as a means to impose influence and control, create proxies and challenge the US.

Chinese investment penetrates every corner of the United Kingdom, giving unparalleled influence here as in so many countries. Plans to allow Chinese investment and technology into our nuclear power programme and 5G network will build vulnerability into our critical national infrastructure of an order not seen in any other Western nation. Even the BBC, which receives funding from China, has produced and promoted a propaganda video supporting Huawei, to the alarm of some of its own journalists. All this despite MI5’s repeated warnings that Chinese intelligence continues to work against British interests at home and abroad.

The Chinese government has spent billions of dollars establishing Confucius Institutes around the world, mainly at universities. There are over 500 globally, including 29 in the UK and over 70 in the US. Ostensibly aimed at promoting Chinese culture, these bodies are used to infiltrate universities and high schools to indoctrinate students in communist ideology, as well as for espionage activities. More than 100,000 Chinese are studying in the UK. Last year, MI5 and GCHQ warned universities their research and computer systems are under threat from Chinese intelligence assets among these students. The Director of the FBI , Christopher Wray, said recently that China was aggressively exploiting US academic openness to steal technology, using “campus proxies” and establishing “institutes on our campuses.” More broadly he concluded that “no country poses a greater threat to the US than Communist China.”

A senior CCP official unguardedly admitted the Confucius Institutes are “an important part of China’s overseas propaganda set-up”. Increasingly reliant on foreign funding, Western universities have been pressured by Chinese officials to censor debate on politically explosive issues such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tibet and Tiananmen Square.

Few in the West fully recognise the threat to our own economies, security and liberty. Many who do refuse to speak out for four reasons. First, fear of coming into China’s crosshairs, provoking economic harm or character assassination. Second, fear of accusations of racism, a concern readily exploited by the Chinese state whose own egregious racism is only too obvious. Third, belief that our liberal values can change those that oppose us. The hope that Chinese exposure to free trade, including entry into the WTO in 2001, would have this effect has proven woefully misguided and served only to strengthen Beijing’s oppressive regime. Fourth, many political leaders, businessmen, academics and journalists have been bought and paid for by Beijing whether by financial incentive or blackmail.

How can the West fight back? Although still militarily and economically inferior to the US, China is a formidable and growing economic power, interwoven with Western economies to an unprecedented degree. We must begin to divest from and sanction China, repatriate and use alternative sources of manufacturing and technology, restrict capital investment there and curb Chinese investment here, especially in our infrastructure.

We must re-invigorate and develop our own technology, much long abandoned to the Chinese juggernaut. We must enforce the norms of international trade and act vigorously to prevent and penalise China’s orgy of industrial theft that has gone largely unchallenged for decades. We must push back globally against Beijing’s imperialism and propaganda wherever it occurs. We must also prepare for military conflict, with an emphasis on deterring Chinese aggression.

America will have to lead the fightback as it did previously in the cold war, but success will require Europe and our allies around the world to stand with them for the long term. This is not a party political issue, but must become a fundamental element of enduring Western grand strategies. This is the task of decades and will be high-risk and costly. The alternative is to remain on the hook and in hock to the Chinese communist state and let future generations suffer the incalculable consequences of our continued purblind inaction.

Majority of migrants in Sweden will never be economically self-sufficient: study

Most people who were not born in Sweden will never be economically self-sufficient, with Middle Eastern and African migrants scoring the lowest in a new study conducted by economists Johan Eklund and Johan P. Larsson at the Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum.

The study, which examined self-sufficiency among Swedish immigrants, found that the gap in employment rate between native Swedes and immigrants is one of the widest in Europe.

The study further noted that in 2016, the lowest self-sufficiency level was among migrants from Africa and the Middle East, with only 38 percent and 36 percent of them determined to be self-sufficient, respectively. Conversely, Swedish-born residents and immigrants from other Nordic countries had self-sufficiency rates of 73 percent and 89 percent, which were twice as high.

At the moment, about 20 percent of Sweden’s population consists of migrants.

On average, about 50 percent of migrants have reached basic self-sufficiency by earning €1,200 or more 12 to 13 years after they came to Sweden. However, most immigrants remained dependent on government funding, with approximately 600,000 foreign-born residents in the country of 10 million failing to be self-sufficient, which the study deemed as all citizens who earn 12,600 Swedish crowns (€1,200) per month.

The level of self-sufficiency also differs in some cities. While in Stockholm, migrants showed a high level of self-sufficiency compared to Sweden’s average, in Malmö migrants were the least self-sufficient.

However, it is important to note that the study distinguished between being self-sufficient and being employed, as in Sweden, anyone who works at least one hour per week is considered to be employed.

In this respect, although 55 percent of migrants are employed within five years after coming to Sweden, only 30 percent of migrants become self-sufficient in this timeframe.

Data from 1990 to 2016 revealed that most of the migrants in productive age did not become self-sufficient in this period, with 600,000 migrants not being economically self-sufficient in 2016.

In 2018, the number was even higher, with about 772,000 migrants dependent on government funding and social benefits.

According to the study, the coronavirus pandemic could lead to an even higher numbers of migrants that are not self-sufficient.

Sweden has also faced other issues with its increasingly multicultural society, including an increase in sexual crimes against teen girls. Although migrants make up a fraction of the population of Sweden, statistics show they have a disproportionate role in sexual offenses.
