Somali taxi driver rams into pedestrians in Swedish town

The taxi driver responsible for an attack on pedestrians in the Swedish town of Borlänge, is a Somali. The ethnicity of the driver has indeed been confirmed.

Swedish daily Fria Tider reported that the prosecution has requested that the taxi driver who drove into a crowd of people in Borlänge – northwest of Stockholm – on Friday be detained. He is suspected of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

According to another daily Nyheter Idag, the Somali immigrant had been involved in a feud with one of the people who was struck by the car, but he rammed into the group, injuring four other pedestrians too.

The 30-year-old taxi driver was arrested on Friday evening, suspected of attempted murder after at least one person was seriously injured. Although the other injured persons were released from hospital after treatment, a request was made that the suspect be held in custody for attempted murder and aggravated assault.

The Somali citizen is registered with the Swedish tax agency as having immigrated in 2011, according to Nyheter Idag.

“One of the plaintiffs and the suspect are acquainted with each other from previously, and they have an ongoing conflict. Four people were at the scene were also hit,” says prosecutor Eva-Lena Jansson, who is leading the investigation.

Germany’s integration policy has failed, warns Rheinsberg mayor after 80 Chechens detained following massive brawl with Germans and Poles

After a mass brawl involving Chechens, Poles and Germans in the German city of Rheinsberg, both the city’s mayor and the state interior minister declared that the district’s integration policy relating to Chechen refugees has failed.

On Thursday evening last week, a group of Germans and Poles became involved in a violent fight with several Chechens. According to a report by the Tagesspiegel, the fight broke out when a Chechen attacked a boat rental employee in Rheinsberg.

Police stated that seven people were injured and several cars were damaged. Eight people, five Germans, and three Poles have been provisionally arrested, Junge Freiheit reported.

In the north of Brandenburg, the local Chechen community have repeatedly attracted attention due to clan structures and crime.

“Revenge actions and vigilante justice are not common in Germany and must not be,” warned Rheinsberg Mayor Frank Schwochowin a post on Facebook.

The following day, about a hundred Chechens gathered in Rheinsberg in a show of force, according to the police who described the mood as extremely heated and aggressive. The officials in the town detained 80 Chechens, who according to a report by the Märkische Allgemeine (MAZ), did not come from Rheinsberg alone, but from several other areas of the country.

During the gathering of Chechens, more mass brawls broke out. One police officer was slightly injured. A video of one of the clashes was posted on Twitter.

On Saturday, the two parties involved in the conflict agreed to a mediated conversation with the police in Neuruppin.

“We accepted this offer because mediated talks are most likely to be effective,” Neuruppins police spokeswoman Ariane Feierbach told the MAZ. The situation has since calmed, but nevertheless, a large contingent of police were still deployed to the city on Saturday to maintain order.

According to Tagesspiegel, one of the Chechens involved wrote on his Instagram account: “We are happy that we all stick together. The others will not let it go. But neither do we. We now know where they are.”

He also added the following in Chechen: “They’re not men, they’re goats.”

The boat rental company, on the other hand, whose employee is said to have been attacked, regretted on Facebook that the atmosphere on both sides was so heated and that the conflict had even come about.

“We just want to inform you that all ambiguities have been cleared up with the Chechen citizens. We are happy that everything is now clear, and we want a peaceful coexistence here.”

Meanwhile, Rheinsberg’s mayor, Frank Schwochow, accused the district administrator, Ralf Reinhardt, of abandoning the city in the conflict since he did not respond to calls or emails.

“There was a fire here in Rheinsberg, and I was left alone as mayor,” complained Schwochow.

The issue with Chechens and their clans are not only seen in Rheinsberg. According to the minister of the interior of Brandenburg, Karl-Heinz Schröter, about 7,000 people from the North Caucasus now live in his state and there have been a number serious incidents in various cities, including a massive fight between Chechens and Afghans in the city of Cottbus last summer.

He admits that the authorities and the police are not always able to prevent domestic conflicts between Chechens and other refugee groups, which most often occur in hostels. The minister says that Chechens are distinguished by a very quick mobilization of compatriots from other places, often so quick that the German police suspect that such incidents are planned in advance.

“There were problems with Chechens in other cities, especially in places where refugee applicants were concentrated,” said Schröter. “They are expressed in the conflicts between immigrants from Chechnya and other nationalities which involved whole groups of people who actually live in other areas of Germany immediately gathering. They were mobilized to respond by a member of the group who felt slighted, and sometimes it resulted in assaults.”

The Brandenburg interior minister said that Chechens tend to resolve problems with “brute force”, which creates difficulties for police. Germany has between 20,000 and 50,000 Chechens but the majority of them live in Brandenburg, with many of them arriving there after applying for refugee status.

There is also a link between radical Islam and Germany’s Chechen community. According to Schröter, of the individuals identified as Islamic extremists in Brandenburg, 45 percent of them are from the North Caucus region, which includes Chechnya.

“These are people who not only profess a certain religion, but are also ready to establish it with the help of force,” he said. Police intelligence have also documented the deep links between Chechen organized crime and radical Islamist groups.

Conflicts involving Chechens are not limited to organized brawls either, but have escalated into shootings, such as the case in Berlin in 2018 in which three Chechens and three Kosovars opened fire on a cafe with AK-47s after the owner allegedly refusing to pay for marijuana he purchased.

Schröter said that the fact that there is currently no armed conflict in Chechnya means “many of these [asylum] claims are rejected, however, after a negative decision, there is still a legal opportunity to challenge it, and almost all applicants resort to it. As a result, their stay in Germany is significantly delayed.”

Schröter said that this was a general problem with asylum applications in Germany, saying there are many reasons courts will prevent deportation.

“For example, medical indications, pregnancy, the presence of young children or babies. All this prevents deportation to their homeland, at least for a while. And so a large group of Chechens — but also representatives of other nationalities — are now in Germany despite the fact that their applications for asylum were rejected,” he said.

An article in Deutsche Welle entitled, “Chechen clans in Germany: what can the police oppose to them?” explored the very few options special forces have to stop Chechen organized crime groups. According to the article, Chechen gang have the “ideal qualities for the underworld”:

“Berliner Morgenpost newspaper quoted an expert on organized crime from the Federal Office of Criminal Affairs. According to him, Chechens are increasingly becoming involved in criminal cases of extortion and drug trafficking. However, it is extremely difficult to investigate these crimes due to the high degree of closeness (clannishness) of the groups.”

The issue of language is also a barrier for law enforcement.

The issue with Chechen gangs and.abilty to organize members of the group has also been displayed in other countries. France recently experienced fours days of conflict between warring Chechen and Arab groups in the city of Dijon, leading to a conflict that drew hundreds of Chechens to the city from across France and other European countries for a revenge attack on Arab gangs.

Asylum seeker avoids deportation despite brutal murder of 17-year-old Swedish girl

On Monday, Sweden’s Uddevalla district court sentenced 23-year-old asylum seeker Tishko Ahmed to life in prison for the murder of his 17-year-old Swedish girlfriend Wilma Andersson, but despite the sentence, he will avoid being deported.

The high-profile case shocked Sweden after the public learned that the murderer dismembered the teen’s dead body and stored her head wrapped in plastic and aluminum foil inside his closet. The rest of her body still has not been found despite an extensive search involving thousands of police and volunteers.

Although the court has decided to proceed with sentencing the migrant just over a month ago, it had not revealed how long he would spend in prison as it waited for the results of a forensic psychiatric examination. However, the psychiatric experts’ statement indicates that Tishko does not suffer from any disorder that would prevent him from being sentenced to life in prison.

Wilma Andersson’s body has still never been recovered.

In a press release from the court, it detailed that the verdict was unanimous and that the Tishko murdered his girlfriend in an extremely violent manner. The verdict revealed that Tishko did not murder Wilma quickly, but that it was a protracted process, in which she is believed to have felt pain and anxiety for a long period of time. The press release read that Wilma likely went through “a strong fear of death and significant suffering.”

In addition to a murder conviction, Tishko has also been convicted of committing the crime of defiling Wilma’s dead body. Authorities continue to search for the rest of her body. Inside the bag where her head was found was also a stuffed animal.

It was in mid-November last year when Wilma disappeared from her home in Uddevalla. The attention soon turned to her immigrant boyfriend who, according to people close to Wilma, constantly terrorized her.

Despite convincing evidence, Tishko has denied the crime. When confronted by police that they had found Wilma’s head inside his apartment, he reportedly sat quietly for 27 minutes before requesting to go to the bathroom.

At one point in the interrogation, he said, “You forget that this is a girl I have loved and that I have lived together perfectly. If I had murdered her, I would not have saved her head.”

Investigators recovered texts from Tishko that he sent to Wilma in March 2018 telling her he wanted to cut her into four parts.

It is not clear whether Tishko intends to appeal, but the prosecutor said that he is satisfied with the verdict.

The verdict also states that Tishko has to pay Wilma’s parents and sister 60,000 Swedish krona (€5,834) plus funeral costs.

Tishko was supposed to have been deported from Sweden as early as 2007 after his asylum application was rejected. However, he disappeared for several years only to reapply for a residence permit in 2013, which he was then granted. Just over a year later, he was also granted Swedish citizenship, which guarantees that he cannot be deported.

This month, a Somali migrant who raped both a 9-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl also escaped deportation due to having already been granted citizenship in 2015.

Sweden has experienced a drastic increase in sexual crimes, including rape and gang rape, which press investigations and government data has tied Sweden’s rising migrant population.

Germany: After the first crime he was released – Afghan man allegedly raped two girls (11, 13 years old)

It’s hard to believe: the man (23 years old), who is said to have raped a 13-year-old girl in Dortmund on Friday, has apparently committed rape a month before!

The Afghan man is said to have raped an eleven-year-old girl on June 20, again in Dortmund. “It was a similar incident”, public prosecutor Börge Klepping confirmed the earlier crime when asked by the newspaper BILD. He did not want to give details in order to protect the now twelve-year-old victim.

Shortly after the crime, the man was arrested, but was released from custody on July 3 after only twelve days, on condition that he had to report to the authorities. Reason: no flight risk.

The public prosecutor: “He had previously been known for a narcotics related crime, but not in connection with sexual offences. He has a fixed abode and therefore had no reason to be in danger of absconding.”

On Friday, the Afghan, who has a temporary residence permit, then lured a 13-year-old girl into a hallway and raped her as well. Because the girl gave a good description of the perpetrator, her tormentor could be caught in the night to Saturday.Prosecutor Klepping: “He is in remand for serious sexual abuse in unity of crime with rape.”

A gang of about 30 Azerbaijani attack an Armenian bar in Cologne, Germany

The newspaper Kölner Express has also reported on the attack against the Invenus Shisha Bar of the family Karapetyan in the Cologne district of Mülheim. According to the owner Zareh Karapetyan, after midnight, about 30 people split into two groups from different directions had rushed to his bar at a fast pace while he was standing in front of the door. “Hey are you Armenian”, the leader is said to have shouted, who had revealed himself and his gang as Azerbaijani. The attackers had all covered their nose and mouth with a black cloth. With the assistance of some guests Zareh was able to prevent them from entering the bar, but the Azerbaijanis smashed the windows with the outdoor chairs of the bar and ran away. Shortly after that the Criminal Investigation Department is said to have appeared. The following detail is also interesting: Zareh had already noticed in the days before unknown persons in the vicinity of his bar who were standing nearby during opening and closing hours. So presumably his shop had been observed and then attacked in an organized way. Only one thing the 30 Azerbaijanis had probably not expected: An impressive defense.

Germany: Afghan asylum seeker brings train service to a standstill

An Afghan asylum seeker brought train traffic to a standstill on Saturday afternoon.

A 21-year-old Afghan was travelling by train from Braunschweig to Schöppenstedt on Saturday around noon. Since he had neither a ticket nor money with him and did not want to identify himself, he was taken off the train at Dettum. Afterwards the fare dodger apparently went berserk. On foot, the 21-year-old walked on the tracks. He did not make room for an oncoming train either, so the train driver had to stop the train. The Afghan then began to throw stones at the locomotive. The train driver finally took pictures of the rioter and forwarded them to the Federal Police.A short time later, another train rammed three logs that the Afghan had presumably placed on the tracks and could not move on. In the meantime, the Federal Police – also with the help of a helicopter – searched for the Afghan and finally arrested him in Schöppenstedt. The 21-year-old asylum seeker was charged with dangerous interference with rail traffic as well as damage to property and fare evasion.

Historian: ‘Africans must be condemned for the slave trade’

Professor Abiola Félix Iroko gave an interview on Benin Web TV where he contradicted the notions of the history of colonialism as represented by cultural Marxists. He recalled that blacks themselves sold black slaves.

Beninese historian Abiola Félix Iroko gave an interview to local media Benin Web TV. He reminded viewers of the real history at a time when anti-colonialists are busy unbolting statues from their plinths and shouting that white privilege should be abolished because of slavery. He explained how Africans themselves took advantage of the slave trade.

This professor at the history and archeology department of the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) declared on July 25: “When we talk about the slave trade, people only accuse whites. But they came (to Africa) as buyers and we [Africans] were sellers.”

He assured viewers that the sale of slaves was not only an isolated phenomenon, since “the king himself sold them”. Abiola Félix Iroko detailed these transactions: “King Adandozan sold the mother of his consanguineous brother (Prince Gakpe) who later became Guézo”. As the Salon Beige website pointed out, he was the ninth king of Abomey between 1797 and 1818.

This historian – holder of a doctorate in letters and human sciences from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne – did not mince his words: “There are no buyers without sellers, we (Africans) were sellers.”

He continued: “When the slave trade was abolished, Africans were against abolition. King Kosoko of Lagos (Nigeria) was against abolition at the time. A king of Dahomey whose name I do not mention was also against abolition. The slave trade which lasted four centuries is an unfortunate phenomenon of long duration that must be classified among the crimes against humanity for which Africans are also partly responsible.

“It is a question of co-responsibility. It is not the buyer who must be condemned, the seller must also be condemned and moreover the seller because the seller has ties of affinity and kinship with the one who is sold. Of those who were sold and had offspring there, many returned after the abolition. Some returned home with Portuguese-sounding names, Da-Silva, D’Oliveira. Unfortunately, some of them who came in the 19th century became, in turn, slaveholders and bought slaves for their correspondents who remained in Brazil. Africans resumed this trade after abolition.”

He said that eventually machines accomplished more in one day than a slave could accomplish in five days. The slave trade was thus abolished, but those who initiated it “did not do it” because “they loved blacks”. Abiola Félix Iroko explained. “It was not out of philanthropy as many think,” concluded the professor, adding that capitalism actually wiped out the slave trade. “It is because they noticed at a given moment that with the development of capitalism and especially of machinery, they no longer need as much labor.”

In his book, La côte des esclaves et la traite atlantique : les faits et le jugement de l’histoire, the eminent historian firmly dismissed “the rhetoric of the supporters of the thesis of reparations” in no uncertain terms. “The Africans haggled for almost half a millennium with slave traders over the price of their kin they were selling. They still want to continue today to haggle with the descendants [of slave traders] over the market value of the blacks that their ancestors sold to the detriment of the development of their own regions,” wrote the historian (pp. 148-149).

He also explained that historical place and context were important. “The statue of King Leopold II of Belgium in Brussels does not have the same meaning as the same statue in Kinshasa, for example. We must therefore avoid amalgamation. The statue of King Leopold in Brussels seems very welcome to me. He is a very important character for them and who represents something glorious for their past. They dominated a colony which they exploited. It is a good thing for them and I am opposed to the acts of vandalism consisting in unbolting such a statue in Brussels (Belgium).”

He said the same statue [statue of King Leopold II of Belgium, editor’s note] had no reason to exist in Africa, regardless of the location. “King Leopold II is like an insult to Africans, an insult to Zairians […] But if there are Congolese who are in Brussels and who are embarrassed by these statues, let them go home calmly.”
