“The Khmer Rouge had studied at the Sorbonne, they were not uneducated savages,” said “Douch”, the just deceased Pol Pot’s torturer in chief. He was serving a life term. Kaing Guek Eav, known as “Comrade Duch”, was the chief of the notorious Tuol Sleng prison where thousands of people were tortured and murdered in the late 1970s by the Communist regime that controlled Cambodia from 1975 to 1979. It is thought that 15,000 men, women and children passed through the gates of the former school-turned-prison.

Under Pol Pot’s regime, 1.7 million died, a fifth of the Cambodian population. In Rithy Panh’s book, “The Elimination,” the author asks himself: “I want to understand how educated people, intellectuals, have done this”.

One of the main perpetrators of the horrors of the Khmer Rouge, Khieu Samphan, holds a doctorate from the Sorbonne. In his thesis, Samphan argued that the work done by non-farmers was unproductive: bankers, bureaucrats and businessmen had nothing to add to society. They suck like “parasites.”

“The distinction made by the Scottish economist Adam Smith between productive and unproductive labor deserves careful consideration here”, wrote Samphan in his ideological manifesto. In the name of these ideas, the Khmer hunted for those who did not have calluses on their hands. Meanwhile, Samphan’s ideas were considered favorably by the French intellectuals who awarded him his doctorate.

The Khmer Rouge evacuated the cities, pushed the inhabitants into the countryside, closed the banks, banned the use of currency and destroyed the markets.

“Year Zero begins. The past no longer exists.” Books were burned, schools abolished, cars, medical equipment and household appliances destroyed. Eyeglasses were also banned. Everyone was dressed in dismal black pajamas.

Before killing the victims with a blow to the back of the head, the Khmer Rouge repeated a ritual phrase: “Finally, you will make yourself useful for the revolution. No longer as a man, but as a fertilizer. ” It was in Paris, at the Sorbonne, that Samphan had discovered not only Marx, but also Rousseau’s “good savage” and Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s “Humanism and Terror.”

A Le Monde correspondent in Cambodia in 1998 met Semphan in the jungle: “Pol Pot and I have been deeply influenced by French thinking,” he told the reporter. “In particular from the Enlightenment and from Rousseau.”

And in Europe, the intelligentsia applauded the new experiment implemented by the father of Parisian communism. But the “révolution de la forèt,” while it could be sung with naive impunity on the Rive Gauche became a slaughterhouse in Cambodia where it was implemented, a veritable Dante’s hell.

It is Europe’s heart of darkness. The same dark evil that happened in the Holocaust. The country of Goethe, Schiller, Bach, Schumann and Beethoven created gas chambers which killed 20.000 Jews per day.

On Tuesday, Nancy Pelosi was outed as the Marie Antoinette of the Democrat party when a hair salon released footage showing Nancy flouting the very lockdown rules she insists others follow. On Wednesday, Pelosi made the whole situation worse when she “took responsibility” by claiming that she naively allowed the hair salon to inveigle her into “a setup.”

The last time a Democrat politician so blatantly tried to blame someone else for a moral failing was back in 1990, when Marion Barry, after he was caught smoking crack cocaine, said of his former girlfriend, “Bitch set me up . . . I shouldn’t have come up here . . . goddamn bitch.” For Nancy Pelosi, being the third most powerful person in America means never having to say you’re sorry.

As the election nears, I keep coming back to the same line of thinking: Malignant narcissism means denying responsibility for anything negative you’ve done. The Democrat party and its members have internalized narcissism to the point at which nothing bad that they do is ever their fault.

For Democrats, as for all malignant narcissists, they can always throw the first punch with impunity; it’s only the counterpunch that is a mortal sin. In their own minds, they are always the victims of setups or of people evil or naive enough to respond to Democrat insults, defamation, violence, or chicanery.

If you want to understand the dynamics of Nancy Pelosi’s defamatory non-apology, a little back history is in order. First, Pelosi is fabulously wealthy, with Pelosi and her husband having a combined net worth estimated, at minimum, to be around $97 million. She lives in a home with a $24,000 refrigerator that holds $14 pints of ice cream. Second, Pelosi is 80 years old, which means she is in the high-risk category for the Wuhan virus.

The above facts mean that Nancy Pelosi could easily have paid someone to her home for the blow-out that Pelosi needs because she’s special – but that you, the ordinary person trapped in your home, may not have. These facts also mean that Nancy Pelosi, who’s insisted that everyone should wear a mask, should be super-paranoid about having anyone come near her.

But Pelosi didn’t want to turn her home into a hair salon and she seemingly isn’t that worried about coming into contact with people who might have the virus to which she’s so vulnerable. That’s why, on Monday, Pelosi went to a San Francisco salon to have her hair professionally washed and dried. Again, she needs to look nice; you don’t:

What Pelosi hadn’t counted on was the fact that the salon’s manager might resent seeing Pelosi using her salon. After all, Pelosi has aggressively been advocating (and California Democrats have even more aggressively been enforcing) such stringent Wuhan virus rules that the salon owner cannot conduct business at her salon. She’s going broke, but Pelosi gets to look pretty (well, pretty for Pelosi).

When Pelosi was first confronted with her hypocrisy, she had a flunky give a statement:

“The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements. This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment,” he said.

That Pelosi “always wears a mask” was obviously a lie, because the infamous video showed her maskless. Moreover, it strains credulity to believe that, seven months into the lockdown, Pelosi and her staff were that naïve about the rules.

An apology was in order. But people like Pelosi don’t apologize. The best that narcissists can do is issue “non-apology apologies,” things such as “I’m sorry you’re mad at me,” or “I’m sorry that you were foolish enough to think I was telling the truth.”

Pelosi, though, couldn’t even choke that out. Instead, she chose the Marion Barry strategy and went on the attack, defaming either the hairstylist or the salon owner for setting her up.

You will not be surprised to learn that Erica Kious was not amused by Pelosi’s lies. Ms. Kious also believes that, between the lockdowns and her new notoriety, she can no longer work in San Francisco:

Twenty-five migrants who live in reception centers in Cosenza, a province in Calabria, have tested positive for the Coronavirus. It has pushed at least 3 000 citizens over the edge and protests are taking place in the streets.

Cosenza is witnessing a mobilization by its inhabitants against the new influx of migrants. Spontaneous demonstrations took place after the emergence of the news of the infected migrants.

Moreover, a regional bulletin has exposed the situation with extreme clarity: “The cases intercepted in Cosenza are in total twenty-nine; twenty-three are attributable to the reception center for migrants in Amantea, four are from the reception center in Rende and one it is the contact tracing of a subject residing outside the region. The remaining case is a native subject,” according to authorities.

News agency Adnkronos reported that 23 more cases were noted concerning the same province. People took to the streets, signaling the unsustainability of this situation, which is irremediably linked to the management of migratory phenomena and its consequences in times of a pandemic.

One place in question – the one affected by most infections – is the Ninfa Marina center: migrants who were welcomed during this lock-down period live there. Among these people, there are those who have contracted Covid-19, including asymptomatic cases. Medical investigations had revealed three such cases.

For obvious reasons related to the high probability that the virus had spread within the same context, citizens are angry. In the town Amantea, demonstrators protested on the state 18, which is also located in the Calabrian province.

Furthermore, in Calabria it is not the first time that anti-migrant protests have occurred. The feeling is that Southern Italy is experiencing atypical problems. Those who protest are demanding two measures: the displacement of migrants to other structures and the closure of the structures appointed to host migrants.

Over the past twenty-four hours, Calabria recorded a total of 32 new positive cases. And two thirds are migrants from the Ninfa Marina center.

To make matters worse, a young Nigerian, who lived at the Cas di Amantea, fled yesterday, despite testing positive for the new Coronavirus, only to be tracked down shortly after by the police.

A food retailer has to spend three years in prison. The district court of Hagen considers it proven that the 35-year-old set fire to his store in Wetter in 2018 to get insurance money and donations.The apparent fate of Mohammad Moussa A. caused a stir in Wetter in 2018. An arson attack on a Syrian greengrocer. Before that, he had received threatening letters, the grocer claimed at the time.

It was he himself who publicly declared that the attack was xenophobic. The people believed him and so there has been a great wave of helpfulness in Wetter since April 2018. Many schools and clubs donated to the family of the trader. Volunteers helped rebuild the store.

Civil society had sent out clear signals against xenophobia with numerous events, and politicians were also present: Mayors and the entire city council came across party lines to express their solidarity with the man.

The sad truth was that the Syrian who fled to Germany in 2015 had set the fire himself. The Hagen district court is convinced of this and sentenced him to three years in prison: Faking a crime, fraud, minor and grievous bodily harm, according to the verdict.

To make matters worse, he had obtained social benefits amounting to several tens of thousands of euros by fraud and threatened and also beat other people.

In Wetter many are shocked since the judgement. For example, local resident Rilana Avranidis. She lives on the second floor directly above the former greengrocer’s store. In 2018 she was surprised by the fire at night. She and her two children suffered smoke poisoning and had to be taken to hospital. Later she helped the trader with the reconstruction.

Today, the mother of two realizes: The man was obviously not concerned about the life of her family when he set fire to his store. The district court in Hagen speaks of a “selfish motivation”.

The case is also a bitter disappointment for the civic association “Wir in Wetter”. The association had organized many campaigns for the Syrian and for more cosmopolitanism after the fake attack.

Universities and colleges have long been indoctrinating that whiteness is an evil that must be shamed into the corner and apologized for. At first a subtle approach was used to propagate this message. In that way this radical concept was able to fly under the radar of the general public and thereby invoke little resistance. But as time went on, its promoters in the seats of higher learning became bolder and bolder. What was once implied or presented only in between the lines was made explicit. Before you knew it, “White is Evil” was formalized into a doctrine of politically correct belief that was not to be questioned on campus.  Following the lead of the universities, many corporations and government agencies fell in line. They started putting their employees through training programs to insure that even the most unrepentant of whites learned of their 1) privilege and 2) culpability in the sins of Western Civilization. This brainwashing has now even seeped down to the lowest levels of the K-12 public school system. Many people now feel ashamed of being Caucasian and go through life carrying the burden of white guilt on their shoulders. The late Susan Sontag claimed the white race is “the cancer of human history.” That’s an insane thought, but though their positions in the universities and media, leftists have been propagating this very idea. Unfortunately, it has take root with far too many. This is especially true of the young who have been subjected to more intense brainwashing than older generations. But self-hatred goes against human nature, so why are many susceptible to believing such a counter-intuitive idea? It’s because of two other human traits.  It begins with envy. In his book Envy: A Theory of Social Behavior, sociologist Helmut Schoeck writes: “Envy is a drive which lies at the core of man’s life as a social being.”  He also repeats the obvious that envy is a destructive force. This is why the Church lists it as one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Envy can occur when there is a gap between individuals or between one group and another. The gap can be in various things — beauty, personality, income, achievement, etc. The greater the gap, the greater the potential for envy. Take Europe as one example. Europeans believe they are the pinnacle of civilization and should be recognized as such. Yet they stand in the shadow of America’s power, wealth, and dominance of the popular culture. As a result Western Europe deeply envy America which explains much of its knee-jerk animus towards this country.  But it’s the flip-side of the envy coin that explains why so many people are susceptible to the white guilt propaganda. It is the fear of being envied by others. This has been well articulated by  Jack Wheeler who writes at ToThePointNews. He notes that the fear of envy is “very deep-seated in the human psyche.”  Fear is a powerful motivator. Wheeler says an inordinate fear of being envied is what drives liberals and those infected by the liberal mentality to go into an envy-appeasement mode. And the more pampered and well off they are, the more they grovel. They apologize for their sex if they are males, for their race if they’re white, for their religion if they’re Christian, for their country if they’re Americans, and even for Western Civilization. Fear of being envied by others is the fertile soil from which the weeds of white guilt take root and grow.  One final point worth mentioning. Schoeck makes an insightful comparison between jealousy and envy. This is pertinent to what is going on in the country today. He says the jealous man wants to take the achievements or possessions of another. The envious man, however, is different.  … the envier has little interest in the transfer of anything of value from the other’s possession to his own. He would like to see the other person robbed, dispossessed, stripped, humiliated or hurt, but he practically never conjures up a detailed mental picture of how a transfer of the other’s possession to himself might occur. Accordingly, the rioters and anarchists are tormented by two inner demons. One is the envy of normal, middle-class society. This explains much of the vandalism of historic monuments and statutes and the disorders in many cities. Antifa is not trying to possess anything although some opportunists do take advantage of the chaos to steal. Rather they are acting out an nihilistic urge is to destroy for the sake of destroying. Their attitude is basically “if I can’t have a peaceful middle class life-style, it, you can’t have it, either.”  The other demon driving them is white guilt based on the fear of being envied by the underclass. By lashing out at the system that shelters, nourishes, and yes, even babies them, individuals in Antifa are trying to appease the envy of those less fortunate born than they. They use the police shooting of blacks as a pretext for this posturing. The message they’re trying to convey is: “See. See. I hate ‘the man’ as much as you do. Please don’t envy me.”

A RAIR Foundation USA exclusively translated video exposes a cartoon indoctrination handout for first graders pushing rules for children to wear masks and maintain distance from one another, despite the verifiable fact that children are extremely unlikely to be diagnosed, much less become sick, with the Chinese Coronavirus.

The video from Germany features a woman explaining the handout. “So, this is what my child is being taught in school. In the first grade,” she says. The “AHA Rules” pushed to kids in the pamphlet stand for “A for Abstand [Distancing], H for Hygiene, and A for Altagsmasken [Daily Mask].”

The narrator explains that there are two columns for “right” and “wrong” behaviors. In the “right” column are “masks, distancing, and washing hands.” In the “wrong” column are “playing together, whispering, and singing.”

The distraught woman says of the “wrong” activities, “That’s what I refer to as ‘childhood,’ and now it’s ‘wrong’ here. I could cry.”

As reported at RAIR this week, a new piece of horrific legislation called the Infection Protection Act enables the state to take coronavirus-exposed children from their parents if they do not properly isolate them at home.

It is difficult to imagine the psychological effects of keeping children away from one another for an illness that barely affects them. Further, there are zero documented instances of a child infecting a teacher.
