The cocaine-addicted family man (four failed detox therapies in 15 years) has 18 previous convictions, mostly for theft.

Most recently he stole from Wilma S. (88 years old) from the Bornheim district of Frankfurt after she had gone shopping in the stairwell. Stole 50 euros cash from her purse, then cashed out 200 euros using her EC card. “That’s a lot of money for me. I only get a small pension,” said Wilma S, looking pleasingly spry on the witness stand.Although A., who confessed and showed remorse, returned the 250 euros to the senior citizen in the courtroom via his lawyer Ivo Hänel. But the court of lay assessors presided over by Eva-Maria Livesey-Wardle did not grant leniency at Christmas: the sentence was three years and four months imprisonment.Public prosecutor Asim Khan had called for three and a half years’ imprisonment. He considered A.’s theft scheme to be “one of the shabbiest things you can do”.

The Imam of mosque in German city Stuttgart Shahid Nawaz Qadri who was assassinated three days ago wasn’t victim of hate-crime, but it was the result of family feud.

Qadri who was a taxi driver and part time assistant Imam of a Stuttgart, capital of southwest Germany’s Baden-Württemberg state mosque was having stroll in evening with his German wife on riverbank when they were hit from back. The sources in Frankfurt told The News Wednesday that Shahid Nawaz Qadri 26 who belonged to Punjab city Gujrat had German wife with two small children fall victim of unknown assassins. He died on the spot since his head was hit from the rare while his wife suffered injuries but survived. She was earlier married to an Albanian and had a child from him. Shahid Nawaz and his wife celebrated birthday of his wife’s child from the previous husband recently where some untoward situation developed, and the matter was hushed up. The Police are investigating to find cause of the assassination, but it hasn’t reached any conclusion. It has however made it clear that it was not the incident of any hate-crime. Pakistan’s consul general Zahid Hussain in Frankfurt rushed to the area on the instructions of ambassador in Germany Dr. Muhammad Faisal Chaudhary and gathered information around the circumstances of the gory incident.

The embassy is trying to retrieve the dead body from Police authorities for making arrangements for its transportation back to Pakistan.

Four years in prison for the manslaughter of Giuseppe (†26) – that is the sentence of the Cologne Regional Court against the Iraqi Rechuas B. (25). He had stabbed the young German-Italian on March the 7th and injured him so badly that he bled to death in Cologne. The crime near the Aachen pond was a puzzle for a long time. Finally, the investigators got on the track of Rechuas.

The accused, who was acquainted with the victim, admitted the stabbing, but claimed it was self-defence. The court did not follow this explanation.

Giuseppe was the boyfriend of Rechua’s sister. The secret relationship was said to have ceased to be harmonious at the latest after an abortion became known. Giuseppe had informed the accused Iraqi and two of his brothers about the abortion in a chat room and had insulted the sister savagely.The prosecution had requested eight and a half years imprisonment. In the end, the court assumed that the case was less serious. The verdict is subject to appeal.

The 26-year-old and the 25-year-old had agreed on a face-to-face meeting at the Aachen pond in the evening after the quarrel via chat. In the course of the discussion, Rechuas pulled out a knife and stabbed Giuseppe in the back. The victim was said to be heavily intoxicated.

The Italian-born father of a girl (5) was found injured in the street shortly afterwards.

Witnesses called the emergency doctor, but even the paramedics could not save Giuseppe. He bled to death.

Only a few days before the terrible crime, father Antonio had spoken to his son on the phone: “He was in a good mood, talked about his school, his work, asked how I was doing. He was a family man.”

After the terrible act, the world collapsed on him. “I’ve been feeling empty ever since, walking around the city like a robot,” says the father.
