Yesterday, at around 3:15 pm, the employee of a delivery service delivered a parcel to a 17-year-old female recipient in the street Bahnhofstraße in Schwarza. Shortly after the delivery, the man rang the doorbell again and performed exhibitionistic acts on himself in front of the teenager. Afterwards, the perpetrator escaped unrecognised.

A man (56) killed his wife (†35) with 19 knife stabs on an August morning in 2020 in Geilenkirchen ( North Rhine-Westphalia). On Tuesday, the Aachen Regional Court sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment for murder.

The wife had videotaped the knife attack with her mobile phone. She died on the balcony where she had fled from the flat on the second floor. The Afghan couple had married in an arranged marriage, and their son was at school at the time of the attack.The man was initially charged with manslaughter. But the court came to the conclusion that the wife was unsuspecting and the attack was insidious. The woman was alone with the man and had no chance to defend herself.

German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer wants to suspend almost all international air travel in order to prevent the spread of dangerous coronavirus mutations. Seehofer, who cited a similar practice in Israel as an example, also said that his ministry planned to consider closing borders in particularly infected areas.

“The threat posed by various mutations in the virus is forcing us to take drastic action. This means, among other things, significantly stricter border controls, especially in vulnerable areas, and reducing the number of civil flights to Germany to almost zero,” Seehofer told Bild magazine.

The paper noted that Chancellor Angela Merkel asked the Home Secretary last Sunday to consider options to prevent the spread of virus variants. Merkel, however, also said in the federal parliament on Tuesday that she was opposed to a total travel ban, but did call for a suspension of tourism.

The German Tourism Association (BTW) sharply criticized the measure, as the pandemic had already sent the tourism and business travel sector to the floor.

“The government should take this into account and not impose further restrictions, as freedom of movement is already severely restricted without it,” BTW said in a statement. The BTW also pointed out that the federal government should address the “drastic deficit” in vaccination rather than take into account that freedom of movement is a fundamental right rather than a privilege conferred by politics.

We therefore expect an increase in illegal immigration,” explained the former Austrian foreign minister and ÖVP politician to the Handelsblatt. Another factor is the global economic crisis. “In many countries, economic hopes are falling. Therefore, the pressure to emigrate will increase.”

A young man from Nogent-sur-Oise, with more than 100,000 social media followers, wanted them to believe that he had been attacked by the police. When he was placed in police custody last week for the fake video, he admitted to investigators that it was a staged event and that he had not really been attacked, Le Parisien reported.

Witnesses in the neighborhood who saw the staged attack actually called the police thinking they were witnessing police brutality. On Dec. 5, real police officers were called to the scene on a public highway between the French towns of Gâtelière and Val d’Aunette.

When the officers arrived, no one was there, but witnesses told the arriving police officers that they saw other police officers abusing a man. 

100,000 views before being deleted

The explanation came a few hours later after Marlone7710, a local influencer who is said to be from Seine-et-Marne and followed by 131,000 people on Instagram alone, posted a video of the incident.

The fake video was viewed over 100,000 times before being deleted. A few days later, at the end of December, another was posted in which the young man reused the images, again making it look like the police used violence. He suggested having spent some time “in prison” following his arrest and having been released thanks to “a procedural flaw”.

Police described the contents of the videos, saying that Youtuber seems to have wanted to pass himself off as a victim.

“We see men dressed as police officers, beating a man, and another individual calling for help,“ described the police unit leader Guillaume Breugnot, commander of the gendarmerie unit of Senlis.

After investigating the incident and examining telephone records, Marlone7710 and his friends were identified, summoned, and finally placed in custody on Jan. 21.

“They recognized that the whole video was only a staged event. The police costumes were rented in Hauts-de-Seine,” explained squadron leader Guillaume Breugnot. For all of these facts, Marlone7710 will soon be in court.
