Last Tuesday around 1 p.m. a 43-year-old man entered the church in the Berlin district of Alt-Karow and devastated the interior heavily. He then retreated to the organ balcony and screamed in an unknown language. When the police officers tried to approach the man, he picked up a wooden slat and fended off the forces. Then he continued to destroy the church furniture.After the arrival of further assistances, the man still did not calm down. He then hit a police officer with a wooden slat, who approached the angry man with a protective shield.Finally, the 43-year-old was arrested by police forces, while continuing to beat with the wooden slat. The police officers who were hit were not injured. After an identification examination, the man was presented to a doctor in a hospital.
