Yesterday morning, Saturday, a 49-year-old man rioted in a church in Guxhagen, district Ellenberg, causing damage of at least 10,000 euros.

According to the police officers of the Melsungen police station, the man first entered the church by force and then damaged benches and other objects inside the church.

After the police were called in at around 8:20 a.m., the police forces were able to arrest the man, who was known to the police, unharmed in the church shortly afterwards.

As the 49-year-old man was allegedly confused and homeless (a paraphrase often used for criminal Muslim refugees), he was subsequently taken to hospital.

Further investigations will be conducted by the responsible police station in Melsungen.
