On the 05th of February 2020, around 6:30 pm, two men were physically attacked in Magdeburg.

The two men, aged 31 and 42, were in the Breiter Weg/Alter Markt area when a group of people approached them and behaved loudly. The 31-year-old addressed the group, whereupon a verbal argument erupted. Subsequently, both men were beaten by persons from the group. When the 31-year-old was lying on the floor, he was additionally kicked. Afterwards the group of people moved away towards the university square. The two men suffered injuries and were treated as outpatients in the hospital.

The group of persons was described as follows:

about five to nine people
Arabic appearance
approx. 15 – 20 years old
dark hair
a person wearing sweatpants with white stripes,
a person with a dark jacket with a conspicuous fur collar
