

Unknown persons damaged four windows of the Protestant church from the year 1723 in the street Kirchstraße in Niederkirchen on the weekend.The police are asking for information from witnesses. The windows of the church are made of many small single glazed elements. Many of these elements were supposedly thrown with chestnuts. The panes shattered. A chestnut tree stands on the damaged side of the building. The damage, which was obviously caused deliberately, should amount to several thousand euros. The police are investigating damage to property. Witnesses who noticed suspicious activity around the church between Friday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. or who can give information are asked to contact the Kaiserslautern police by calling 0631 369 2150.
