Erdoğan threatens EU with 3.6 million Syrian refugees

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, Thursday, that if the European Union calls Turkey’s operation in northern Syria an invasion, Turkey “could just open the gates and send 3.6 million Syrian refugees into Europe.” Speaking in Ankara, Erdoğan asked the United States why it doesn’t mention that his country is hosting 300,000 Syrian Kurds and that 50 of the 291 parliament members in his party are Kurds.
