Over the past few months, property damage has occurred to the detriment of the Veysel Karani Mosque in Schleswig. Police Department 5 of the District Criminal Investigation Department had begun investigations after the first crime. On Tuesday evening ( September 10, 2019), at 7.55 p.m., a 34-year-old Iraqi was temporarily arrested immediately after another damage to property to the detriment of the Veysel Karani Mosque. The suspect is an asylum seeker who arrived in Germany in 2015. The man has admitted the perpetration of the property damage offences. Currently, there is no evidence of a xenophobic background.
