As it only became known today, an Afghan citizen in the Vienna district of Simmering attacked the officers with a Stanley knife during a police operation. The police forces then had to defend themselves with a service weapon to protect themselves. On the night of Tuesday, an Afghan is said to have clashed so violently with an Iranian that the police were called to the accommodation. When the police arrived, the situation must have escalated and the armed 39-year-old attacked the officers, who then had to resort to their service weapons. Several shots are said to have been fired. The suspected assailant was hit at least once. However, there was no danger to his life.
