A 23-year-old is said to have indecently touched two girls aged 16 and 17 on the night of yesterday’s Wednesday, today’s Thursday in downtown Freiburg.As the police were informed by the victims, the man of Tunisian nationality was verbally and physically harassing them around 2 am in the area of the Bertolds Fountain. According to the current state of the investigation, he stole a smartphone from the breast pocket of the 17-year-old victim. The suspected perpetrator then fled, but was able to be investigated and arrested by forces of the Freiburg Police Headquarters as part of the immediately initiated search at Basler Street / Lörracher Street. The suspect resisted. During the search of the 23-year-old, the allegedly stolen smartphone was seized. The suspect was released after the personal details had been recorded.
