Early Wednesday morning, women in Riemekepark and the Pader spring area in Paderborn were harassed by groups of men. A witness intervened and was seriously injured in an argument. Around 01:55 a.m., a 30-year-old woman walked through Riemekepark on the footpath towards  Wolff-Metternich-Street/Jahn street. She was followed by five male youths or adolescents.One of them approached her and beat her. In addition, the perpetrator insulted the woman. When she dialed the emergency call with her mobile phone, the perpetrator ran off together with the other teenagers towards Riemekepark/Schul street.The perpetrator is supposed to look southern/north African, less than 20 years old and 170 to 180 cm tall. He had a three-day beard and wore a red jacket (Zippo jacket) as well as jeans. In the Pader spring area a 25-year-old man was walking around 03:50. On the Jenny Aloni Way, he noticed a group of young men harassing and insulting two young women. The 25-year-old courageously approached the group and confronted the men. The men abandoned the two previously unknown women and attacked the 25-year-old. While this one dialed the distress call the perpetrators beat him down and kicked him. Then they fled in the direction of Mühlen street.Passers-by gave first aid to the injured man. An ambulance took the injured man to a hospital. The perpetrators are said to have been four men, in their mid-20s, who look Mediterranean. The two unknown women are asked to contact the police immediately.
