Beatrix von Storch, Member of the Federal Executive Board of the German AfD-Party, commented on the lack of support for Israel by the German UN Ambassador Heusgen in the UN Security Council:
” Today the tabloid BILD has good reason to ask: ‘Why doesn’t Germany stand clearly on Israel’s side? At the meeting of the UN Security Council Merkel’s former know-it-alls and current UN ambassador Heusgen compared the rocket terror of radical Islamic Hamas (over 130 rockets on Israel alone in recent days) with the demolition of houses without building permits. In 2008 Merkel had still declared to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament: ‘For me as German Chancellor Israel’s security is never a matter for negotiation’.When Merkel’s UN ambassador now in cynical manner compares the Palestinian missile attacks (over 12,000 alone since the takeover of the terrorist organization Hamas) with the use of Israeli bulldozers against illegally erected buildings, this only clearly shows the infamous hypocrisy of the Chancellor in her so-called pro-Israeli policy.It should be a matter of course for every German and above all for the federal government to join the commentary of the tabloid BILD without any ifs or buts: ‘When Islamist terrorists fire rockets at Israeli children, there should be no question of being on Israel’s side’. The relativization of anti-Israeli violence and comparisons that trivialize terror by Merkel’s UN ambassadors are intolerable and illustrate the whole hypocrisy of Merkel and her coalition government towards Israel.
