Vienna: Three Turks arrested after brutal knife attacks

In the Austrian capital, several people were seriously injured by knife attacks. Three Turks have now been arrested! In the district of Leopoldstadt, a dispute between a man and a woman escalated, in Brigittenau a woman was allegedly attacked by her 41-year-old husband, and in Ottakring two men clashed, according to the police report. According to witnesses, the two men (48 and 25 years old) were said to have attacked each other around 01:30 a.m. in a pub on Herbst street. The 48-year-old is said to have attacked the younger man with a knife, the latter suffered a stab in the thigh due to the attack and had to be taken to a hospital seriously injured, according to police spokesman Daniel Fürst. Before that, the police were called to an apartment at the street Handelskai, where a Turk (41 y.o.) is said to have threatened, beaten and attacked his 36-year-old wife with a knife. The woman was admitted to hospital with several bruises, cuts and abrasions. Her husband was arrested by the police shortly after midnight. The husband was finally banned from entering the hospital. It was not until Monday evening that the police were called to Prater street for a violent  altercation. Because of a dispute for a woman, a 34-year-old Turk is said to have attacked a fellow countryman (28 y.o.) with a knife. The 28-year-old was taken to a hospital and the elder arrested. However, he denied the knife attack and was taken to a prison.
