France and Turkey Are Facing Off, Splitting NATO

Turkey should never have been in NATO. And once it became an Islamist tyranny under Erdogan, it should never have remained in the NATO henhouse. But here it is and Erdogan is getting more aggressive about trying to reclaim the Ottoman Empire.

He’s dispatching Jihadis from Syria to protect the Islamist regime in Libya. And he’s using his backing of the Libyan regime to lay claim to Greek territory.

Meanwhile the French, of all people, are stepping up.

Greece’s prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has welcomed a decision by France to dispatch war frigates to the eastern Mediterranean as a standoff with Turkey over regional energy reserves intensifies.

With tensions between Athens and Ankara causing growing international alarm, Mitsotakis described the vessels as “guarantors of peace”.

“The only way to end differences in the eastern Mediterranean is through international justice,” he told reporters after holding talks in Paris with the French president, Emmanuel Macron. “Greece and France are pursuing a new framework of strategic defence.”

Mitsotakis was in the French capital on a visit aimed at rallying EU support at a time when hostile relations with Turkey have eclipsed all other issues on the agenda of his near seven-month-old government.

The EU is generally speaking useless. But the French are, at least on paper, the most aggressive of the remaining crew. And, unlike Germany, they’re less intimidated by Erdogan’s threats to flood their country with Syrian migrants.

That said, counting on the French is a bad bet. The question is how far both sides are willing to push things.

The prospect of a military confrontation between two NATO members, one closely aligned with Hamas and Russia, ought to make it obvious how absurd NATO has become.

And how little room Turkey has in any alliance with anyone except Qatar, Hamas, and Iran.

WATCH: Islamic exorcism amidst Vienna, Austria

Most of us probably have seen exorcisms in horror movies so far. But amidst Vienna this horror is real. The Islamic variant of exorcism is even being promoted quite openly.

In a video on the YouTube channel of the renowned Islamism apostate Irfan Peci there are scenes that show how brutal and strange such rituals – called “Rukja” – are.By quoting certain verses from the Koran, the “demons” are to be cast out from the “patients”.Among other things, in the video published by the Peci, one sees a veiled “possessed” woman, above her the exorcist who repeatedly sprays her with a liquid. “Are you Jewish or Christian?” he asks the demon who is supposedly inside the woman and presses her head firmly onto the sofa.”A Jew,” she finally says.

Elsewhere a man lying on the ground is beaten while the supposedly non-Islamic spirit in his body is insulted with Koranic verses.

Even if the photographs shown are not from Austria, it seems clear that this ritual will not look any different in this country. The fact that such practices take place in the middle of Vienna is not only frightening to Peci.

Berlin: State Secretary Stirs Outrage with Tweet

Tens of thousands follow Berlin’s State Secretary Sawsan Chebli on her Twitter channel. She keeps on angering people with statements she posts. Tuesday was no exception.

In Berlin, Sawsan Chebli, the State Secretary for Federal Affairs and Civic Participation at Red City Hall, is known for Tweets she says are “private”. One of her latest ones stirred outrage. It is not the first time, but today she got even more angry reactions than she usually does.

On Tuesday, one day after part of the world mourned six million Jews murdered by the Nazis at the Auschwitz memorial, she tweeted this:

„Sure, what happened back then is sad. But when it comes to the return of hatred, the Jews are not entirely innocent. Just look at the settlement policy, the annexation …” I hear this very often, not from Muslims, Arabs or refugees, but from Germans without addendum.

Chebli, a Social Democrat, added a text box to her Tweet, which looks like it was copied somewhere, but neither did she cite a specific source, nor did followers understand the purpose of spreading this kind of antisemitic statement, even though she marked it as a quote.

This latest Tweet by State Secretary Sawsan Chebli angered Burkard Dregger, the conservative CDU’s floor leader at the Berlin House of Representatives. “And why do you spread this nonsense? You have a responsibility here. Shame on you!”, he replied.

“Mrs. Chebli is spreading classic antisemitic content in the form of a quote”, Dregger told The Berlin Spectator. In that quote, “the Jews are being made responsible for the sorrow they went through.” Dregger added that “the Governing Mayor has to think about how long he can still afford a State Secretary like her.”

“Here Mrs. Chebli just managed to sail past her next Twittergate”, Elio Adler, the chairman of the Berlin-based NGO ‘Werteinitiative’, said. “And she can’t afford many more of those, because, as I heard, she wants to become a member of the Bundestag.”

Arye Sharuz Shalicar, a German-Israeli political scientist, former officer in the Israeli Armed Forces and book author, slammed the post too, but retracted his critical posts later on Tuesday night, saying Sawsan Chebli had agreed that the quote she had spread constituted Israel-related antisemitism. Indeed, that is what she replied to one of the many critics of her post.

One of the aspects that raised eyebrows is the fact that Sawsan Chebli, a German citizen of Palestinian origin, is rather critical of Israel herself, judging from posts of hers which sound like she sees the Jewish state as an obstacle to peace, at least between the lines. But, similar to the post in question, she does not leave many working points critics could use. Chebli’s Tweets on Israel can usually be interpreted in more than one way.

According to the German-language weekly ‘Die Zeit’, other posts of hers have angered people inside Red City Hall, including Governing Mayor Michael Müller. In January of 2019, the publication reported that documentaries about her, or personality interviews on TV, would not be approved by her superiors anymore. But a few months later, she appeared in shows of that kind anyway.

And she keeps on tweeting to her 59,700 followers, six times as many as Müller has. Many of those now have a new conspiracy theory in their heads, even though it was just a quote: Israel’s settlement policy causes antisemitism. Some followers now ask themselves the same question: How come nobody else has heard this kind of nonsense “very often”?

Another SPD politician leaves party, criticising its ‘muslimization’

An integration-skeptical SPD local politician in the German city of Essen has turned his back on his party. The deputy Essen SPD chairman Karlheinz Endruschat has offended his party by warning that entire parts of the city is being “muslimized”.

German daily Die Welt and Focus Online reported that, among other things, because the SPD does not take the problems caused by immigration seriously, Endruschat has now left the party.

“The SPD lacks the willingness to deal with the real problems,” Endruschat told Focus Online. In addition to Muslim clan crime, there is also a problem that the party does not ask itself at which points the integration failed. “The SPD has no interest in even recognizing the problems related to immigration.”

The councilor told Die Welt that the SPD showed both in Essen, in North Rhine-Westphalia and in the federal government “no interest in even recognizing the problems surrounding immigration”. His former comrades are too arrogant, and he witnessed this attitude several times.

For example, at a party event with young immigrants: “They asked the comrades present that more Germans should to come to their school classes, since without thorough mixing nobody could really learn German there. But my party friends didn’t want to hear that.”

He finally left the SPD when a candidate was nominated for the upcoming city council election instead of him, someone who had converted from the Left Party to the SPD a few years ago. This is a meaningful sign of the development of the SPD. The party has “in the past two years made a clear left turn, an advance to the left”.

When asked whether anything had changed since the 2015 debate about failed integration in Essen that he initiated, Endruschat replied: “Unfortunately not. But, a leading Essen Social Democrat, whom I do not want to mention by name, has now moved from a district with many migrants to a district with few migrants. That, of course, makes it easier for him to stay true to his ‘there-are-no-problems’ course.”

The growing Muslim population is a problem for Germans. “Not only because of the sometimes very reactionary mosques, but also because of the perceived loss of homeland,” Endruschat said, reaffirming his warning against the Muslimization of entire city districts that was expressed two years ago.

For many Germans, a Muslim street scene is not necessarily homely. “And the fact that we regularly have Turkish or Lebanese flags hanging on our front doors does not exactly increase the feeling of home for long-established residents.”

Former Berlin finance senator and bestselling author Thilo Sarrazin (SPD) has also accused his party of suppressing any internal discussion about Islam in Germany.

Unlike the MEP Guido Reil (AfD), he will not change to the right-wing party, Endruschat said. He was still attached to the idea of a pluralistic social democracy that allowed a left and a right wing. “In the AfD I would be out of place. They are getting stronger without me. Unfortunately.”

And the councilor warned that they could become even stronger. If the AfD sacked its overtly radical right-wing minority, it could be even more dangerous for the CDU and SPD.

Germany: Muslim murders the friend of his sister because he is a Christian

Because his sister was in love with an Iraqi Christian, a Muslim asylum seeker in Salzgitter executed her friend. In the spirit of the “religion of peace”, which forbids a Muslim woman to have relations with an infidel – and vice versa – the ” family honour” is restored. For this reason, a 33-year-old Syrian must now stand trial before the Regional Court of Braunschweig for murder for malice and base motives.Unfortunately, despite extensive research, it is not possible to determine when the suspected perpetrator, who is a native of Syria, arrived in Germany.According to the Internet portal news28.de, the 33-year-old belongs to the Kurdish ethnic group, i.e. to that ethnic group originating from Northern Syria which, thanks to the IS terror and other wars fought over religion and ethnicity, is constantly caught between the fronts and therefore seeks asylum in Germany. The fact that someone who originates from this region, demonstrates the same murderous intolerance as his alleged “persecutors” and continues to practise it here, is once again of a particular perfidiousness and proof that he and the family in whose name he allegedly acted did not deserve protection status in Germany, and that those who unconditionally grant protection to these fundamentalist families should also be in the dock.If one looks at the background of this crime, the sister separated from this family clan after various conflicts and went into hiding. “Her brother had not accepted the relationship because his sister had apostatised from the Muslim faith. Her conversion was in consideration,” writes the newspaper Hannoversche Allgemeine. But the persecutor, who had fled Syria, probably succeeded in locating the couple. Already in November, the Kurd threatened the Christian who had fled Iraq with murder in his hairdressing salon in Seesen. After this action he should have been arrested and deported to Syria. But the Merkel regime let the fundamentalist go and thereby sentenced the Christian to death. Then in January 2019 – on a parking lot as arranged – the fatal shots were fired. The 25-year-old died the same evening in hospital. According to the newspaper “Braunschweiger Zeitung” the whole family of the accused was investigated by the police after the cowardly murder. There were three operations by special forces. Both the accused’s home and that of his clan were searched.”According to the indictment, the purpose was to restore the honor of his Muslim family. For the public prosecutor’s office this is murder for malice and base motives,” the daily Haz adds, reporting at the same time that despite the clear background to the crime a “psychiatric report” will be required. To exonerate the perpetrator?
