Germany: Muslims spit on passers-by and police and threaten with corona infection

Several times men have marched across Leipzig and spat at passers-by and police. On Thursday, a 31-year-old man first molested and spat at a mother in Reudnitz-Thonberg, police reported on Friday. The man had claimed to have suffered from Covid-19. The health department decided that the man known to the police would be tested for Corona. The result was negative, the police announced that evening.

There was a similar case on Friday afternoon in the South Centre. A man had been seen marching through the city center ranting and kicking cars, a police spokeswoman said when asked by the newspaper LVZ. The officers called in put a face mask on the man, and an ambulance was also on duty.

Already on Tuesday a 37-year-old passenger had sprayed disinfectants at the main station and shouted “Allahu Corona”, according to the federal police.

Teens Cough on Produce, Post Video

Remember last year’s fad of licking ice cream, then putting it back on the shelf? Coronavirus has inspired a new version:

Idle teenagers are participating in a “disturbing trend” of coughing on grocery store produce and posting their pranks online as the nation fights the coronavirus, which is known to spread from human “droplets” spraying from mouths.

The latest incident occurred in the Washington exurb of Purcellville, Virginia, some 55 miles from the White House. …

The police investigating the case said that there is a national trend by teenagers to cough on food and film it.

Any number of teenagers carry the virus asymptomatically. The risk of mortality is of course far higher for older people.

The costs of letting society slide into sociopathic, narcistic, nihilistic immorality are incalculable. It is hard to imagine teens potentially murdering their own grandparents for laughs in say the 1950s.

Two arrested after botched ‘Islamist attack’ sees car driven into Barcelona airport

Police cordoned off a section of Barcelona’s El Prat airport after an apparent failed Islamist attack, in which two men drove a car through the terminal building’s doors.

The Mossos d’Esquadra, Barcelona’s police force, confirmed that two men attempted to storm the Terminal 1 bulking at the El Prat international airport at approximately 5am local time on Friday.

The men made it as far as the food court of the airport, reportedly shouting Islamist slogans, before they were arrested.

Technicians from Spain’s bomb squad Tedax were also deployed to investigate the vehicle which was found to not contain any explosive devices. No weapons or ammunition were discovered in the vehicle either.

Despite reports that the perpetrators shouted Islamist slogans, the police are not currently treating the incident as a terrorist attack. In spite of the bizarre incident, the airport remains open and is functioning normally.

Authorities have yet to rule out terrorism as a motive. However, neither of the men has any prior convictions or associations with known terrorist groups, according to Interior Minister Miquel Buch and Commissioner Eduard Sallent.

Germany: Migrants organize barbecues in public places despite the ban for Corona

Last Wednesday evening in Herten about 150 people, mostly with Turkish or Arabic migration background, met in individual groups for a barbecue on the premises of the former Schlegel und Eisen colliery.

They smoked water pipes and had a barbecue. Several residents complained about it. The mayor of Herten, Fred Toplak, went to the young people personally with the support of the public order office.

He urged them to follow the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute to go home and avoid social contacts. But that did not help.

Thereupon the police were requested to provide administrative assistance. The officers then gave orders to leave, so that the event was cancelled after 9 pm.

Coronavirus: Italian Doctor Dies After Working Without Gloves due to Shortage

A 57-year-old Italian doctor working without gloves due to a shortage at his hospital has died of the coronavirus. “They’ve run out,” said the doctor of the glove shortage in one of his last interviews with the media before he succumbed to the Chinese virus.

“It’s a war,” said 57-year-old doctor Marcello Natali of Italy’s coronavirus crisis before he died of the disease, according to a report by Euronews.

The report added that the doctor — who was working in a hospital in Codogno, Italy — had tested positive for the Wuhan virus, and was hospitalized in Cremona before being transferred to Milan after developing double pneumonia.

Codogno is located in the northern region of Lombardy — the nation’s worst-infected region, as well as the epicenter of Europe’s coronavirus epidemic.

In one of the Natali’s final interviews with Euronews, the doctor said that he had been working without gloves due to a shortage of them at the hospital.

“They have run out,” Natali said.

Before he died, the doctor had also mentioned that 14 out of 35 doctors were in quarantine or hospitalized as of February 28.

“We weren’t prepared for the coronavirus,” said Natali. “As doctors of the post antibiotic era, we grew up thinking that a pill against everything was enough.”

The Italian Federation of General Practitioners — which confirmed Natali’s death — noted that the doctor had been suffering from double pneumonia due to the coronavirus, reports Euronews.

“The situation has not gotten better since end of February,” said Paola Pedrini, regional secretary at the federation. “We received some masks, some glove kits, nothing else.”

“A mask that should last half a day, here lasts a week,” she added.

“We work a lot over the phone, when possible, to avoid the spread of the virus and getting in contact with asymptomatic people who still carry the virus,” said Pedrini.

Pedrini also told Euronews that 110 doctors out of 600 are sick in the just province of Bergamo alone.

On Thursday, newly released data from Italy’s Civil Protection revealed that 427 people had died of the Chinese virus in just the last 24 hours alone, bringing the nation’s overall death toll to 3,405 and surpassing China’s official death toll, as reported by the Chinese communist government.

Germany: Horrible discoveries in the case of a suspected “cyber jihadist”

Investigators have discovered gruesome footage at the home of a suspected Islamic terrorist from Cologne. They are said to originate from the former territory of the Islamic state and had been discovered on data media during a house search of the accused. In the trial against the 39-year-old German-Tunisian, which was continued on Thursday, the recordings were shown as evidence on screens in the courtroom. There were footage of people having their throats cut and their heads chopped off with swords.

One footage showed two men who were burned alive. Other footage showed small boys shooting other people, including a small child, under adult supervision. The presiding judge said that even more cruel video footage had been seized. These have not been shown yet.

A defense attorney claimed that the footage had to be evaluated against the background that the client had been “partly journalistically on the road”. He could also have collected the photographic material to provide information to “scientific staff”. He did not give any clues for this.

The defendant is alleged to have supported the Islamist terrorist group Ahrar al-Sham in Syria. While the Federal Prosecutor’s Office classifies him as a supporter of the Islamist terrorist group, the court had indicated at the start of the trial that even a conviction as a terrorist would be possible.

The German Armed Forces were asked to guard refugee accommodation in Suhl, Germany

The German constitution, or Basic Law, mandates that the Bundeswehr can only be deployed as a security force inside Germany when a state of emergency has been declared.

This has already caused a legal problem in the state of Thuringia, where the state authorities have asked the Bundeswehr to help at an asylum-seekers’ home that has been placed under quarantine. Thuringian authorities maintain that the soldiers are only needed to “secure provisions for the approximately 500 inhabitants,” not to guard the home itself, the DPA news agency reported.

EU has abandoned Italy in coronavirus fight, says Poland’s former FM

Former Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said that some European Union member states are failing the solidarity test with Italy by abandoning the country right at the moment coronavirus is killing thousands of its citizens.

Some countries, such as Germany, have even made it difficult for Italy to get the filter masks it needs while others, such as Sweden, have argued that the pandemic is not great enough to justify completely closing its borders and will still permit asylum seekers enter its territory.

“In the case of aid for Italy, solidarity has been missing. Some disturbing information has been reaching us such as that aid that was to be delivered by member states has been stopped. There was information about masks and virus tests being confiscated in Germany that were supposed to go to Italy,” said Waszczykowski.

Germany, along with France, put in place medical gear lockdowns that resulted in the countries restricting the export of vital medical equipment to countries like Italy.

The former Polish foreign minister acknowledges that the EU would need to change its treaties in order to intervene directly in public health matters and force member states to export medical equipment.

The EU also lacks authority in other key areas, such as the rule of law, security, education, and other key issues.

Despite the EU’s lack of authority in health matters, that does not mean it is powerless. There are EU agencies such as Frontex, Europe’s border and cost guard agency, which could theoretically deploy to Italy. The EU also has diplomatic muscle, and it can take decisions on economic aid.

The EU has already allowed existing resources to be directed towards alleviating the spread of the coronavirus, but no new money has been found for this cause, according to Waszczykowski.

Waszczykowski says that in the past, the EU has often exceeded its authority and competencies, especially when it seeks to attack its political foes. This has happened in areas such as the rule of law issues, where Brussels is locked in an ongoing battle with Poland over judicial reform despite European treaties making it clear that court systems fall under the purview of member states.

Yet, in a time of true crisis, the EU is demonstrating it is reluctant to overstep its “boundaries” and aid Italy.

The foreign Polish minister suggests that the EU could learn from the pandemic crisis to develop new standards for combating epidemics and pandemics. At the same time, he does not necessarily want the EU to claim new prerogatives in the area of health.

Waszczykowski regards the area of health as a security matter which should remain in the control of member states.
