Austria: Harmless symbols of politically conservative groups are banned as part of the measures against the Islamist threat

In the course of the measures against extremism, which were supposed to be put together in the wake of the Islamist terrorist attack in Vienna, not only Islamist symbols but also the emblem of a patriotic youth movement is to be banned. Upper Austria’s deputy governor Dr. Manfred Haimbuchner ( Freedom Party of Austria) said that this action would be a mockery of the victims of the attack on November 2nd. According to the Freedom Party member, this way of dealing with Austria’s rule of law represents a security risk in its own right.Haimbuchner himself previously drafted a strict anti-terror bill. The deputy governor, who is also a lawyer, is not satisfied with that of the Turkish-Green government. “The federal government is obfuscating the problem and watering down the solution,” the head of the Upper Austrian Freedom Party said in a statement on Wednesday. The government is trying to simulate a right-wing threat equivalent to the Islamist threat.Specifically, the capitalised Greek letter “lambda” is to be banned. Since 2012, it has been used by the Identitarian movement in the course of demonstrations and actions. They have copied the symbol from the shields of the Spartans fighting the Persians at the Battle of Thermopylae as seen in the movie “300”.

Over the years, especially left-wing extremist Antifa associations did everything they could to get this youth movement, which they hated, banned. But all the trials – some of them particularly lengthy – have so far ended in acquittals. This is because the patriotic group has always acted in accordance with the rule of law, which has been confirmed several times by the courts. But the Turkish-Green government obviously does not want to deal with this, which is why the movement is to be criminalised by the amendment to the Symbol Law.Manfred Haimbuchner firmly rejects this approach of the government. For it is precisely in times like these that people need to have confidence in the rule of law and its institutions: “This chimera created at the interface of Turkish and Green party interests does not even begin to reflect the actual threat to state and society. Rather, the arbitrary extension of the law on symbols contributes to a disorientation of society and thus itself poses a security risk.” Haimbuchner accuses the government of “degrading the important fight against Islamist terror with its authoritarian fantasies and its party-political brinkmanship”.The deputy governor expresses particular incomprehension towards the Greens. They should still remember the animal rights trials in Vienna district of Neustadt, where the application of the law concerning the Mafia rightfully caused a great stir both inside and outside their party. “Why the Greens suddenly support such an instrumentalisation of the rule of law against this background is completely beyond me,” Haimbuchner said.

Germany: Because she wanted to break up with him, an Albanian kills his wife and daughter

The murdering father apparently deliberately spared his youngest daughter (14 years old)!

After the bloody deed in Isselburg (11,100 inhabitants) in Münsterland, the police revealed further details this afternoon. A man (51 years old) had killed his wife (46 years old) and his daughter (17 years old) in a semi-detached house in the morning. Then the Kosovo-born Albanian hanged himself on the veranda using a white and blue rope.

“According to initial findings, the 51-year-old man wanted to kill his wife and the mutual two children,” said senior public prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt.

Asami S. had phoned an acquaintance living far away and confessed to her that he had done something bad to his family. The witness immediately called the police, but the officers arrived too late.

The police found the 14-year-old behind a door that was locked from the outside. According to the newspaper BILD, the investigators assume that the teenager was deliberately spared by her father. He had also threatened her with death, but did not carry out his intention.

The girl is receiving psychological help from experts. The couple’s eldest daughter (21 years old) is living in another city. The Münster police set up a homicide squad, meticulously secured traces of the crime until the evening. In the meantime, it is clear that Elfete S. (who worked in a company producing bed linen) wanted to separate from her husband. Allegedly, the couple also lived apart, the husband last inhabited a room in the basement. There are two letterboxes at the entrance of the red-brick house.

An acquaintance (37 years old) told the tabloid BILD: “I saw the second daughter just a short time ago. It is simply unbelievable. How can a man do such a terrible thing to his family?” Elfete S. had been going for frequent walks with her sister lately – the mother of three had been looking very grave and depressed, neighbours reported.

The bodies of the two women and the suspected perpetrator were taken to the forensic department in the afternoon. The investigations are ongoing.

Is Trump winning the fraud argument?

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

President Trump has argued “fraud” and the voters are apparently listening:

For the second day in a row, a new voter survey has found support for President Trump’s vow to fight on with his challenge to the election, with more believing that it was plagued with fraud.

While a Tuesday Pew Research Center survey said that it was mostly Republicans who believed that fraud occurred, the new McLaughlin & Associates poll found that all voters, by a 46%-45% margin, believed that there was fraud.

Beyond that, Rasmussen now reports that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters believe that the media hid the Hunter Biden scandal to help his father’s presidential campaign.

What happens now?   I think that Democrats should not underestimate the extent to which Americans want answers about the 2020 election vote.

“Stay Home Except for Essential Activities,” Dem Gov Says, Then Goes to a Bar

We’re Not All In This Together – Part 887

After Governor Newsom’s French Laundry party helped kickstart a recall against him, you would think that other Democrats would learn. These past few weeks have outed much of California’s lockdown elite. Past incidents exposed the hypocrisy of Governor Whitmer in Michigan, Governor Murphy in New Jersey and, of course, Governor Cuomo in New York.

Now it’s on to Rhode Island.

The governor of Rhode Island is facing backlash this week after she was photographed at a wine and paint night just days after she had discouraged inessential activities to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The picture, taken by Erica Oliveras last Friday, shows Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo sitting at table in Barnaby’s Public House in Providence without a mask, WLNE reported.

Come on, Wine and Paint is very essential when you’re a hard-working, but hypocritical, despot.

“It’s week two of our pause. I know it’s been hard, but I want to thank every Rhode Islander who’s following our guidance. Please, stay home except for essential activities & wear a mask anytime you’re with people you don’t live with. Together, we can turn our case numbers around,” Raimondo had tweeted.

Together. I don’t think she knows what that word means. Nor do any of the other Democrat apparatchiks who keep deploying it.

Writing on social media, Rhode Island’s first female governor thanked people for their well-wishes after concerns she had caught Covid-19.

She said: ‘Thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered well-wishes. I tested negative again today.

‘I am fortunate to be feeling great and will continue working from home during my self-quarantine.’

The governor faced backlash after drinking inside a Providence bar without wearing a face mask the day before.

But remember, you can’t gather together with family members for Christmas or Chanukah.

When the third week of the “pause” lifts on Dec. 21, Raimondo said, it will do so only partially. Specifically:

◘Social gatherings involving people from different households will remain prohibited.

◘Houses of worship will remain limited to 25% capacity or a maximum of 125 people.

◘Bar areas will remain closed.

Unless they’re really essential forms of wine and paint.
