German-language Turkish religious book “legitimises” murder and chastisement of women

When is murder allowed and when is a husband allowed to chastise his wife? This is the subject of a book that a Turkish publishing house is also distributing in German.
What do the Islamist Milli Görüs Community (IGMG), a Düsseldorf Salafist shop and the internet giant Amazon have in common? They are distributing a book calling for what happened to the teacher Samuel Paty in France: an Islamist bestially murdered him in October because he was said to have insulted the Prophet by showing Mohammed cartoons in the classroom.
The murderer committed what the book “Ilmihal für Frauen – Islamisches Grundwissen für Frauen” (Ilmihal = Catechism), published by the Uysal publishing house in Istanbul, postulates as a religious duty: “Someone who insults the Prophet, offends or denigrates his religion in any way must be killed”, it says on page 177. Even remorse does not spare the “perpetrator”.
The Thalia bookstore chain has already taken the book out of its assortment, at Amazon it was still available on Friday evening: the book “Ilmihal (=Catechism) for Women – Basic Islamic Knowledge for Women” published in German by the Turkish Uysal publishing house. According to the book, this basic knowledge includes – as reported exclusively by the newspaper VOLKSBLATT – the following: “Anyone who insults the Prophet, offends him or denigrates his religion in any way must be killed.” And: “If a woman rebels against her husband, the Koran allows the husband to chastise his wife as a last resort.” Further, “In the case of public indecency on the part of the wife, light beating on the part of the husband is permitted.” However, the husband is required to leave “no trace” of the beating.
Austria’s Integration and Women’s Affairs Minister Susanne Raab ( Austrian People’s Party) told VOLKSBLATT that she was “truly appalled”. “These contents are disgusting, abhorrent and absolutely unacceptable.”
Islamist and misogynist texts, she said, “have no place in our society and are to be absolutely condemned”. Raab finds it “right and without alternative that individual book chains (Thalia, ed.) reacted immediately and removed the title from their catalogue”.
The Milli Görüs Community (IGMG), represented by at least one religious community in the Islamic Religious Community in Austria (IGGÖ), had also sold the book over its online book club “Kitap Kulübü” registered in Cologne.
Only after the VOLKSBLATT reported on it did the title disappear from the range. However, both the IGMG and the IGGÖ did not respond to requests for statements on the extremist content of this work.

Turkey’s ambassador to Austria pays a visit to the Islamist extreme right-wing Turkish organisation “Grey Wolves” and gives them a book entitled “The Hagia Sophia – Great Mosque” as a gift
After denigrating Christmas last year and other verbal lapses, Ozan Ceyhun is once again causing a stir – and this time from Vienna to the Bosporus. As the Turkish daily “Yeniçağ Gazetesi” reports, the ambassador in Vienna visited the headquarters of the ultra-national Grey Wolves in the Danube city at the end of February and was welcomed by their president Ali Can.
Why exactly a book entitled “The Hagia Sophia – Great Mosque” was chosen by him as a gift – the conversion of which, as is well known, led to worldwide protests – is a puzzle. The monumental house of worship was converted into a mosque after the conquest of Constantinople (Istanbul). State founder Kemal Atatürk made a museum out of it, which it was until 2020. Another mystery is why this photo was so proudly shared on the social media by the Grey Wolves, who have been spreading their ideology under the code name “Avusturya Türk Federasyon” since 1994.
The picture has the following caption: “Our Austrian Ambassador, Mr. Ozan Ceyhun, visited us with his team at our headquarters of the ‘Turkish Federasyon’ and thus honoured us. I would like to thank the ambassador on behalf of our community for his kind visit.”

Von der Leyen would’ve lost her job over vaccine fiasco if she wasn’t German, says Polish expert
Austria and Denmark will be cooperating with Israel when it comes to vaccines. Italy will produce the Russian Sputnik V vaccine and Hungary is taking its own path and is vaccinating its citizens with Chinese and Russian doses.
The OSW Center for Eastern Studies expert Konrad Popławski explained that Austria and Hungary’s actions are a serious argument in favor of a Europe of Fatherlands, as the EU has started to take responsibility for matters in which it has no competencies. The vaccine fiasco shows that people without expert knowledge dealt with the matter while on the other side there were the experienced negotiators of pharmaceutical companies.
The slow speed of the EU vaccination program was criticized by Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz who alongside Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen signed an agreement concerning developing and producing a new generation of vaccines with Israel. French diplomacy criticized this move, claiming that EU states should base its vaccine policy on cooperation within the EU.
Popławski pointed to a crucial element which is lacking in EU cooperation.
“If the EU took responsibility for the vaccine purchase program, then it should also bear political responsibility. In every normal company or state, following such mistakes which have cost lives, someone would be held responsible. Meanwhile, nothing seems of the sort in the EU. If Ursula von der Leyen wasn’t German, she would’ve lost her position,” says Popławski.
He emphasized that it is embarrassing for the EU that countries such as Serbia are more advanced when it comes to vaccinations. He believes that this is proof that EU competencies should not expand and that integration should only take place where it brings additional benefits.
Despite the systemic failure of the EU in relation to the vaccine, on Feb. 25, David Sassoli, the European Parliament president and a left-wing politician from Italy, called for member states to delegate more of their competencies to the EU level to prevent further crises caused by the pandemic. In his opinion, the European Commission had passed its test during the coronavirus.
Popławski warns that this line of thought is unrealistic and if politicians are unable to reflect on their failures then this line of thinking may cause even larger mistakes in the future.
“It is interesting that politicians whom Brussels tried to blame for all the evils of the world, like Boris Johnson or Donald Trump, were able to achieve results for their countries. EU politicians are unable to do so and this takes us back to the question concerning political responsibility,” he said.
Merkel’s CDU suffer historic losses in state elections
It was a disaster for Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party, the CDU: Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate were once their strongholds. Record results of up to 60 percent had previously formed an abundant reservoir of votes for election victories, but six months before the general election in Germany, the exhausted CDU no longer has a free ticket to the Federal Chancellery.
The state elections in the two states kicked off the super election year 2021 on Sunday. According to initial forecasts by state broadcasters ARD and ZDF, the previous Prime Ministers Winfried Kretschmann and Malu Dreyer will be confirmed in both federal states.
Many CDU members blamed negative news coverage about masks, but Jörg Schönenborn from the ARD pointed out that the effects of the mask affair had been limited for the CDU. The reason: the high proportion of postal voters. They had cast their vote before the scandal became known.
The Greens can now look forward to a new record result and gains in Rhineland-Palatinate under Prime Minister Kretschmann. According to projections, the free voters there will be represented the state parliament for the first time. The AfD had to accept losses in both states, while on the other hand, the FDP was one of the happy faces on the election evening.
With this terrible result, it is not impossible that Merkel will have to hand over her office to SPD chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz or the Greens in autumn. Scholz has already spoken of a “progressive formation of a government”. The CDU and CSU are on the defensive, ironically because the SPD had wanted to free itself from the clutches of the grand coalition four years ago.
In contrast to Scholz, the FDP plays only a minor role in the coalition deliberations of its party leaders Norbert Walter-Borjahns and Saskia Esken. FDP General Secretary Volker Wissing blames the CDU for having given up on the bourgeois-conservative camp.
In Baden-Württemberg, the CDU, which has mutated into a junior partner, is expecting that the strengthened Greens will be getting rid of them soon. The CDU was reviled by the Greens in the state as an impediment. This development is surprising, especially in Baden Würtemberg, where the automotive industry is being wiped out by the Greens and many livelihoods are at stake.
Thuringia’s AfD chairman Björn Höcke commented: “The CDU that has been gutted not only in terms of content but also morally has suffered a deserved defeat. The good performance of the deindustrialization and prohibition party. the Greens, in Baden-Württemberg is frightening.”
Green candidate Winfried Kretschmann will be forming his new coalition – possibly a traffic light alliance of the Greens, SPD and FDP. The once decimated SPD can now look forward to a few ministerial chairs, with the opposition FDP also hoping to get into the government. Their top candidates have already submitted their applications to the election winner. On ZDF, SPD General Secretary Lars Klingbeil also saw the result as proof that governments were possible without the CDU.
The AfD remained on the outside in both state parliaments. It lost votes compared to 2016, but that comes as no surprise, as the trench warfare within the party had been too intense, especially in Baden-Württemberg, and it continues to be destructive in the federal government as well. Baden-Württemberg’s AfD state chief Alice Weidel admitted to ARD that the quarrels in the parliamentary group in the last legislative period had cost them votes.
The AfD was supposed to consolidate its votes in Stuttgart and Mainz, as a bourgeois-conservative party to the right of the Union. The fact that the Union is now taking revenge by marginalizing the AfD while losing their coalition partners, has been little consolation.
Jürgen Elsässer, the editor of Compact magazine, commented on the result of the AfD as follows: “The AfD has clearly lost – and that in a situation where it was the only opponent to the unitary block of the lockdown parties and thus had a great unique selling point. That was only possible because [AfD party boss Jörg] Meuthen completely castrated it, so that the public can hardly tell it apart from the FDP. The self-dwarfing will continue with Meuthen.”
The CDU debacle goes hand in hand with the rise of the Greens, while the FDP can be bought with ministerial positions. According to Elsässer, the AfD has been damaged by Meuthen’s internal campaign to rid the party of ” extremists”. “The only hope lies in extra-parliamentary resistance,” Elsässer said and pointed out that the new dominant people’s party was the Greens.
“The Greens is the party of the Great Reset, the direct recipients of orders from [Bill] Gates, [George] Soros and [Klaus] Schwab.”
Bernd Baumann, parliamentary manager of the AfD parliamentary group, spoke to ZDF about the result: “There is a clear majority in the Federal Republic beyond the left-green group.” He said the liberal-conservative parties had a majority in both states. In addition, the result of the CDU showed that if they get in bed with the Greens, they lose. When Baumann pointed out that AfD campaigners have ended up in the hospital because of physical attacks on them, CSU General Secretary Blume simply replied: “The role of victim does not suit you.”

Merkel’s government also paid millions of euros in Corona financial aid to Islamist extremists – In individual cases, there is suspicion of direct terrorist funding
After several fraud cases, the German government stops the payments of Corona financial aid. Now it has come to light that money has probably also been given to Islamist extremists who are said to have used it to finance terrorism in war zones in the Middle East.According to the report, the State Security Service and the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Berlin are investigating more than one hundred cases against about 60 people, mosque associations and organisations that are considered to belong to the Islamist community. According to the report, the authorities are investigating whether and to what extent Corona relief funds were collected although no entitlement existed. In at least three cases, there are indications that Corona financial aid was used to finance terrorism in war zones in the Middle East. The total amount of damages in all prosecuted cases is about one million euros. According to the newspaper, 250,000 euros have already been seized during searches.
This is reported by the newspaper “Welt am Sonntag”.
“In individual cases, there is suspicion of direct terrorist financing,” the newspaper quotes from circles of the law enforcement authorities in Berlin.
Even members of the Salafist and anti-Semitic organisation “Jama’atu”, which has just been banned by the Berlin Senate, are said to have received financial aid. The terrorist who attacked the Christmas market on Breitscheidplatz in Berlin, Anis Amri, was a member of Jama’atu.
