Athens has taken diplomatic steps towards Turkey following an order from Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on the issue that has arisen in a part of southern Evros, where Turkish forces are occupying sovereign Greek land, according to diplomatic sources cited by Kathimerini.

On Thursday, Turkish soldiers and police special forces made a permanent presence within Greek territory and camped in the pocket of Apiary at Feres to enhance their presence, as reported by Greek City Times.

The occupied areas are even shown on Google Maps as a part of Greece.

The occupation is at South Evros, Meliskokeio, which is located in a place that floods every year after autumn.

Even maps from 1923 shows that the area belongs to Greece.

The riverbed has moved with a swamp now in its place which dries up in summer and floods in winter, creating an islet there. Turkey is taking advantage of this seasonal change to the riverbed to claim an area of ​​about 16 acres. There has been grievances in the past, but there is now a steady presence of Turkish security forces in the area, which is hampering the work of the Army’s Geographical Service officials to complete the settlement of the area from the Greek side, in view of the expansion of the fence to South Evros.

The suspect was taken into custody at the nursing home and transported to the Detroit Detention Center (DDC) without incident. Detroit Police is still investigating. Ann Arbor Police Department and the Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office helped in the case.

It is unusual for police not to release the name of someone who was arrested and charged with a crime.

The CEO of CanAge, a national seniors advocacy group, says the phones are ringing off the hook with calls from people concerned about seniors and from older people themselves.

Well she’s a Republican. Democrats understand that killing senior citizens is a pathway to justify more lockdowns and get more votes.

State health officials and long-term care industry representatives have defended the practice of discharging some COVID-19 patients to nursing homes, saying it is part of a broader strategy to conserve critical hospital beds during the pandemic.

Statewide, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus has killed more than 600 Minnesotans at nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. That is a staggering 81% of the deaths from the pandemic statewide.

The father of a 19-year-old Swedish man who was killed by a Sudanese migrant while trying to prevent a woman being raped has been forced by the media to defend his son after suggestions the victim was a “Nazi.”

As we previously highlighted, Tommie Lindh was stabbed to death while trying to stop the assault after a group of migrants crashed a house party in Härnösand uninvited. After killing Lindh, the migrant continued to rape the woman.

The culprit was later named as 22-year-old Abubaker Mohamed, a Sudanese migrant who was granted Swedish citizenship in 2011 and had a long criminal record, including a 2015 conviction of raping a girl under the age of 15.

Following the murder, a right-wing group staged a protest in Härnösand against the killing, but the demonstrators were immediately smeared as “Nazis” by the media.

Swedish public broadcaster SVT, which dutifully amplified the “Nazi” narrative, then paid a visit to the home of Lindh’s father, where he was forced to defend his dead son against accusations he was racist.

As the article makes clear, the father was grilled about why his son had a shaved head as he insisted Lindh was not a Nazi but may have had friends who sympathize with the Nordic Resistance Movement, the group that staged the protest.

Apparently, SVT was more interested in the victim’s political leanings than reporting on the fact he was killed by a migrant while trying to stop a woman being raped.

It was already known that Lindh was a supporter of Alternative For Sweden, a right-wing populist party. Given the media’s reaction, you’d think this was a bigger sin than the crimes of rape and murder committed by Abubaker Mohamed.
