Austria: Turks were trying to get into hospital despite visiting ban

Two weeks has passed since the absolute ban on visiting hospitals in the country. But in Turkish language it seems that the news has not yet been heard. Or even worse: it is being ignored.A nurse in Linz’s Medical Campus III just thwarted the plan of three Turkish citizens. They wanted to open an emergency exit door to let their male visitors into the hospital. The nurse immediately enforced her house rules, thus thwarting the break-in and chasing the Turks away.Due to the incident, all employees in the hospital have now been informed once again that exits must remain closed and that really no one may enter the wards who has no business there. “Of course, this not only serves the safety of our patients, but also that of our staff”, says the Deputy Commercial Director of the hospital, Günther Dorfinger.
