Yesterday, Friday evening, a serious sexual offence occurred on the street Eppinghofer Bruch in Mülheim an der Ruhr.Attentive residents noticed the restlessness of their dog and kept an eye on it. In the green area behind their garden they noticed a young woman and two male persons. Probably startled by the residents, the two fled along the parallel cycle path. Immediately after receiving the distress call, the command and control center deployed several patrol cars, including civilian officers and police dog handlers. At 86 Heißener Street, uniformed officers of the Mülheim Police Department discovered a group of youths and children. After they had arrested the group, the suspicion consolidated.The three allegedly 14-year-old male youths and the two allegedly 12-year-old children are of Bulgarian nationality and live in Mülheim an der Ruhr and are refugees. Police are now investigating the five suspects. The injured young woman was admitted to hospital and is supported and cared for by the police after medical care.
