An 18-year-old German and his 38-year-old father were on the fairground in Cheine to take part in the celebrations of the May fire. According to previous findings, five males with a migration background aged between 18 and 20 years were also on the fairground and initially had a verbal argument with the 18-year-old German. Subsequently, the perpetrators jointly attacked and kicked the 18-year-old. His father, who hurried to help him, was also attacked by one of the accused. The perpetrators fled after their crime, but 4 of them could be caught in Salzwedel. The injured were slightly injured and could be released on the spot after treatment. The 4 identified perpetrators now have to answer for dangerous bodily harm and were taken to their asylum accommodations after completion of all police measures.Another injured party reported himself to the police, the 19-year-old reported that he had also been beaten by a group of people with a migration background on the fairground in Cheine and sprayed with pepper spray. He then went to the hospital to have the eye and face irritations treated, but can only remember the actual course of the crime fragmentarily.Investigations into the specific circumstances of the crime and the fifth perpetrator are continuing.
