Germany: Christian haters at work ? Christian graves vandalized

Unknown persons apparently caused damage of several thousand Euros at the cemetery in Steinbach during the Easter weekend. On Easter Monday, around 7:30 a.m., witnesses informed the police that several graves had apparently been damaged. It turned out that the vandals apparently damaged at least twelve graves between Friday evening and Monday morning. Among other things, wooden crosses and planted flowers were damaged. In some other cases, the perpetrators tore out the gravestones and threw them onto an adjacent meadow and other graves. The perpetrators also did not spare flower pots. Several proceedings were initiated for the disturbance of the peace of the dead and damage to property. The cemetery is located between the streets An der Kirche and Liebigstraße. It is possible that witnesses witnessed something of the crimes. Please inform the police station Gießen Süd by calling 0641/7006-3555.
