A 21-year-old man is suspected of having molested and sexually harassed a 22-year-old woman at platform 4/5 in Bad Cannstatt station at 9.20 p.m. last Saturday evening. According to initial findings, the Afghan national was sitting in a waiting room on the platform next to the female rail passenger, addressing her and verbally and physically harassing her. He is said to have grabbed the woman’s breast against her will.After the 22-year-old woman apparently pushed the suspect away from her and tried to distance herself, she was followed by the 21-year-old man. While a courageous witness watched the situation and asked the alleged perpetrator about his behavior, federal police officers arrived at the scene and arrested him temporarily. The 21-year-old, who lives in the Böblingen district, must now expect criminal proceedings on suspicion of sexual harassment.
