The police had to deploy for a total of six announced wedding parties yesterday afternoon in Duisburg. In the time from 01:25 p.m. to 04:30 p.m. there were harassments by wedding parties in different districts of the city. Citizens reported car convoys and complained mainly about blocked lanes and squares, as well as partly about fired shots into the air.In one case, an intersection in the Hochfeld district was blocked by about 100 guests, with Turkish flags waved, Bengal torches lit and shots fired into the air. Police forces prosecuted traffic and weapons violations, made reports and sent people off. The police seized the weapons found, which were always alarm weapons.
