On late Saturday evening, special police forces of the Bremen police arrested in Stade the suspect wanted for rape of a 16-year-old girl. The investigators were able to trace the suspect with hints from the population. The reasons for his arrest are currently being investigated against the 18-year-old man.The 18 year old man is urgently suspicious of having raped a 16-year old girl on the 5th of February 2019 at 11 p.m. in the ramparts in the Bremen district of Mitte. The criminal investigation department then began intensive investigations. A public search, in which a large number of hints from the population were received, led to the successful identification of the wanted man. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, the district court issued an arrest warrant against the 18-year-old.Police investigators in Bremen then took over the coordinated search for the man. They were able to locate the wanted man in the Stade area. With the support of the Stade police, the suspect was finally arrested late on Saturday evening without resistance. The man is taken to a magistrate on Sunday.
