A murder in the small town of Preetz (district of Plön) southeast of Kiel: A 36-year-old woman was probably the victim of a murder there.As Michael Bimler, the senior public prosecutor in Kiel, said on Sunday upon request, the alleged perpetrator had surrendered to the police on Saturday morning and said that he had killed the woman. The 24-year-old appeared at the police station at about 10:30 a.m. and is said to have confessed to the murder.The police officers would then have found the unmarried German woman lifeless in her apartment in a house on Linden street. According to the police, the deceased had several external injuries. The public prosecutor’s office and the criminal investigation department have started investigations.Bimler said there were no clues as yet to a motive for the crime.The 24-year-old suspect came from Afghanistan and was in custody. The suspect and the dead are said to have known each other. He will be brought before the magistrate on Sunday.
