The Emmendingen Criminal Investigation Department is investigating a 22-year-old man of Sri Lankan nationality on suspicion of sexual assault. According to the findings to date, the initially unknown man approached a 14-year-old teenager at 6.10 p.m. last Monday evening who was staying with two friends near the SV Wasser sports clubhouse. According to current information, the man is said to have been detained and touching the 14-year-old immorally against her will. The girl, according to the investigations, defended herself and ran away with her companions. The man ran after the three of them, but let go when other people approached. The called police arrested the suspect about an hour later near the crime scene. The 22-year-old asylum seeker was brought before the magistrate on Tuesday, who issued an arrest warrant. The investigations are continuing.
